This gave me such anxiety 😅 those obstacles looked sooo high as you rode towards them and it almost looked like your horse would collapse on his front legs 😩 He didn't of course, and it shows what a good team you are!
@@aaditya_aspirant money is in races, not in jump. Prizes in jumping competitions do not cover the expenses of the sport. Those horses are worth fortunes, no one wants them to get hurt
As a dressage rider who's terrified of jumping I have nothing but admiration for you and Sonic! This looked so balanced and you are so steady! Really enjoyed watching this and I wish you all the best in your equestrian career!
First time watching your channel and I really enjoyed it. I am a barrel racer but fascinated with jumping and you are amazing. One of the best I have watched. Really! Don't stop! You will go far. You are so steady and on it girl! So impressed!!!
I’ve always really enjoyed watching your rides and have been thankful that some upper level rider films their rounds because it’s really helpful to me. Also, that was a stunning round, did you have rail on the last fence? I wasn’t sure. Apart from that, it was beautiful and I’m so happy to see that you’re going higher and riding so well. Great job!!!
If you train the horse well and if you have a good connection with your horse, you can do a lot. I can see that this horse is enjoying it. He didn’t want to refuse once. And the rider is really steady and calm. It’s just a LOT of training and making it fun for the horse
Some horses are just born jumpers and love to jump! We have a few at our yard that love it. One will jump out of any paddock, and only stays as his friends are there! When loaned out he jumped home. He was loaned out to a few different places but always at home in the morning 😂
It does take many years of careful preparation to get to this level. It all starts with poles on the ground and gradually works up from there. So it's not like they are faced with challenges like this over night 🙂
That said, not every horse is going to make it to GP. These horses are bred for the job, but they also have to have a spark for it. They definitely let you know when they've reached their limit and you can't really force a horse to do it (or at least not for long). They have to love it. I've ridden all sorts and the best jumpers will constantly be looking for the next jump and once they lock on, you feel them surge towards it. They get really excited and it's sometimes more a case of trying to steady their enthusiasm lol
Awesome! What a great perspective. It looks so different just on the screen. I like that you make a clicking sound to encourage Sonic Boom. You seem to have a very close relationship. Horses are the best.
Was I the only one who was rocking back and forth, and did a big forward rock over each hurdle?? This sure brought back memories of my days competing. This was awesome! 🏇
I love your unity. Some riders micro-manage their horses and fight with them, rather than trusting in them. Great ride! I enjoyed this - thank you for posting!
Wow thanks that was amazing. Pity about that final fence cos he hadn’t put a foot wrong til then and obviously neither had you. You were in a lovely rhythm 👏👏👏👏
I love these first person povs because I love to stack a few pillows, attach some reins, and practice some half seating and two pointing. I am obviously not at your level, but I do love these❤😊
That was so cool. I could feel myself position at the jump and eyeing the next one. What a thrill!! Thanks even though it's been several decades since I rode that kind of course. ;)
Gosh ... still shaking ... I would loose my way right from the start. I never thought its so high and so fast. Very brave people who are doing that. Bless u and take care.
This just how appeared as a suggested video for me and I'm sooo impressed with how steady you rode, that camera was so smooth considering. I ride western but know well enough the skill needed for that, well done!
I love this video-i was reading through the comments and I found that I had written one already. Still amazing to watch! You can really see how fast Sonic is going, and I did find myself holding my breath a bit as he sailed over a fence. Super. Every horse-crazy girl’s dream.
Those were some big fences. Your pony did very well. Congrats. I was never good at shortening the stride to hit the fences right. It takes years and a willing mount.
I used to ride and I miss it. The riding camp I went to, at the end of the camp season, we had a small horse show and while the course was very small and the obstacles very low, I was able to do the jumping portion in my final year at the camp. I really enjoyed it and even took second place. Watching this, it brought back that feeling I had when I was doing it. Thank you for sharing this, it's awesome!!
Thank you. I have seen these views on smaller competitions and I have watched these competitions from TV standards... I didnt realize until now exactly how tight and sharp all thr turns are or how thrilling the ride is
Excellent job horse and rider seemed to do very well this video is giving me the biggest reminder of looking where you want to go. But this was incredible. Perfectly done.
What an inspirational rider you are! I ride horses as well and sometimes do little jumps, I fell off once whist jumping thankfully it wasn’t bad.🏇🏼🏇🏼🏇🏼🏇🏼
i remember my first time watching this, my mom told me it was animated, she said that because you are such an amazing rider and you were so steady, you are so amazing!
Hailey- You are the reason I keep going forward in my riding. I have been through so much with a large amount of my class bullying me. I have ridden 1.40's and they look so much bigger on camera! (ik its a 0.05 difference of hight but still!) I love you and you horse as you look to be such a wonder fun team!
Thank you for the ride! Always wanted to try jumping so high fences, but A: don't have a horse right now, and B: I'm kind of a chicken 🙈🙈 Thanks for giving me the opportunity ❤
How do people think this isn’t a sport. I have been riding for most of my life, and have ridden and won in nearly every discipline, and jumping is one of the hardest, ESPECIALLY at this level. Beautiful run too btw
Coming through the back door of riding, a beginner at best, I have learned to appreciate the role of humans in the horse world. On my second year of learning to ride, my professor had me jump a 6 foot vertical, first time I closed my eyes, she said do it again and keep your eyes open and grab mane!. The horse jumped like a speeding rocket!!! It was exhilarating 🐎
First time I've seen something like this on TH-cam - thank you! Very strange experience, though - I tense my core muscles as you go over each jump reflexively and am completely unable to stop myself doing it! Any other riders out there instinctively 'ride' over every jump
I love it! Sonic Boom was simply amazing! The horse I ride now always overjumps, so I can't wait to see what happens when I get higher- but you stayed as solid as a tree in the saddle and it was a very thrilling experience-even from the GoPro
As an equestrian I absolutely love watching these, their so satisfying watching from the riders view.
I agree!!
This gave me such anxiety 😅 those obstacles looked sooo high as you rode towards them and it almost looked like your horse would collapse on his front legs 😩

I had a bad fall while jumping my mare, I got a concussion and sprained my thigh, trying to get my confidence back so Im watching these!
What. Rush. My heart rate increased. Thank you for sharing your ride. I will never have the opportunity to ride like this.
