Pretty English Village - Autumn WALK || Asthall Village in the Windrush Valley

- Asthall has a rich history of former Roman settlement. Several later-Mesolithic and numerous Neolithic artefacts have been found in Asthall, some within areas that were woodland until 1862
The Church of England parish church of Saint Nicholas was enlarged in about 1160 and restored in 1885
Most domestic buildings in the parish are of coursed limestone rubble with stone-slated roofs, though many were originally thatched
Asthall village was also the birthplace and long time home of the actor Bob Arnold, famous as Tom Forrest in the BBC radio series 'The Archers'
In the summer of 2007 a hoard of 110 gold angel and half-angel coins was found during building work at Asthall. The coins were minted at dates from 1470 to 1526, most of them in the brief second reign of Henry VI.

Thank you for this walk ❤ It was wonderful to be back in England, even for half an hour ☺ I lived in Burcot (Abingdon) for 1 year, then moved to Oxford for 4 years, then for 1.5 years in London, and now, back to Poland 11 years ago but nothing felt like England ever again...

@@user-oh6vr6gp8h в этой серости и заключается красота я же говорю серые и зеленые оттенки в сочетании с камнем и создают эту прекрасную атмосферу как вы непонимаете?Где можно просто отвлечься от суеты и посторонних мыслей и хоть немного отдохнуть от бешенного современного города..Просто понимаете вам это трудно понять будучи сейчас где нибудь в огромном мегаполисе где слишком много шума и кричащих красок и всяких рекламных вывесок!А здесь ничего лишнего понимаете?Думаете вот эти серо-зелёные оттенки в сочетании с осенней листвой и облачным небом с пеленой лёгкого тумана это случайно?Не конечно!Всё очень аутентично и продуманно!Поэтому ненадо говорить что вам что то ненравится и ненадо лучше окунитесь в эту атмосферу и подумайте,тогда ваше мнение поменяется и вы поймете почему именно так!..

I do not appreciate how you came on my platform and accused me of something that is totally untrue. I do NOT use fake noise. All the sounds are original from the video, listen to the footsteps, when I stop, etc it all sync. I don't need to fake any background noise. I am blessed enough to be surrounded by all this natural ambience. I would appreciate it, if you could check your facts in the future as it doesn't seem you are aware of the English Countryside and the nature sounds that come with it. I wish you all the best!
