I also feel like Sable’s, town hall, and the museum are much more put together than Nooks Cranny, which looks more basic and fitting for a less developed island.
Yep, and if not our home, at least the one room our villagers have on our island. It's hard to decorate and not be repetitive with their rooms being so small.
If you think about a ladder it’s a lot less complicated than a tree, Your argument that because it’s rendered on both sides doesn’t really make sense. A ladder is still going to look like a ladder if you cut it in half, Plus you also have to think about resource loading. When you are outside there is a lot more of the game has to load so it makes sense why they wouldn’t rent of the trees in the back because they need to save on resources. But anytime you go inside it loads a whole new area and nooks cranny is very small so they don’t need to save on resources and only render parts of items
Nintendo developers go into great detail of places and items most players won't see. An example is any of the drinks in a stemmed glass, like the melon one. If you zoom in you can actually see bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass to the top. Not many game developers would put such great, tiny detail on each and every item. Personally, I would like the ability to choose the aesthetic of the update. Making it look like a convenience store/department store would fit the aesthetic so we'll...!
If there was a shop update, what would it add? Expanding just to sell more items each day doesn't really seem necessary, especially since you can make a lot of items yourself as well as shopping on the catalog app, nook stop, and paradise catalog. I dont know if an expansion will ever come, but if it does happen I hope it'll be worth it
Those are all limited to 5 per day. New leaf had a bunch of T&T updates and it also had the catalogue, the rvs and the island store to order items. I don't see anything wrong with T&T had more, better and new items, especially if it includes Gracie's sets. As of now, most items on the store are interior items and small ones, only a few are actually for the outside and big.
The "free" keyword was already discussed and clarified by Nintendo through an interview with IGN. They confirmed that there will be no more paid or free updates. I'd also have to severely disagree that the zodiac update would measure up in comparison to a building upgrade and it is any indication that update of that magnitude are still in the cards unfortunately.
nah, I think a small thing like a second floor wouldnt be a major update thing. Also if its just there living space then why wouldnt any other npc on the island have an area like that. Nintendo is smart and thinks every little detail thru. :) I do think tho its possible they were going to add it but then decided not to especially with all the other updates. still a possibility tho
@@BumbleteaArt Actually pretty much every building on our island has something like that. Isabelle's office has a door behind her with an empty box programmed inside of it. Sable has a door to the left of her exactly like it. The museum also has the same thing at the end of the fossil museum. When it came to ACNH they were beyond sloppy. Keep in mind a lot of the things that we ended up getting were originally going to be cut according to datamines, where we saw many things being removed in mid-patch, then revived later. Their planning was horrible and beyond inconsistent in this game, which is why they were never even able to provide a DLC road map.
They might just skip to the final upgrade where we get Gracie's store. That would be a nice way to expand the store and introduce a few sets we still don't have.
I think this is a good possibility, to me a nook’s cranny upgrade would be ‘minor’ rather than ‘major’ since it doesn’t need a whole new building plot or characters. It still seems like speculation to me, not proof, but makes sense with the formats of previous ac games. Speaking of past games, I see a lot of people saying ‘why would they keep updating a game that’s already so old?’. That’s proven wrong in my eyes based on New Leaf, which was released in 2013 and got a huge free update in 2016. With how much easier it is now for Nintendo to roll out small updates and how wide of an audience New Horizons has I don’t think they’ll abandon this game based on its age anytime soon.
In my mind, Nintendo said theres no more major updates, just tiny updates like patches and new items. Getting a whole new floor to the shop would be pretty major. And, although it could be a DLC, I doubt they would make you pay just for a bigger nooks cranny. Of course, I'm not saying theres no chance of it, they could surprise us
When they said last major update I just took that to mean they were only going to be doing patches from now on and mainly working on the next iteration of AC. NH has been out for years, why would they take this long to update Nook's again? I don't think so. I like that it's all on one floor anyway. I just want to be able to buy more clothes at one time! Is that so much to ask for??
One thing that indicates to me that there'll be an upgrade is the fact that the building doesn't take up all the plot space, it has a porch thing around it. It looks cute but all other buildings in their final form take up as much plot space as possible
That was my thought exactly! I've known for ages about the black box upstairs at Nooks. I saw someone else do it the year the game came out. The fact it hasn't fully filled out its footprint is my reason for wondering why there's no upgrades.
@@lindatannock I feel like I watched the exact same video haha was it a guy who went through every building? Even up to the lookout tower at the airport ?
I highly doubt it. It's been nearly 2 years since the game came out, I think if we were gonna get and upgrade to nooks or Ables we would have had it already
But I think they mentioned somewhere, that Happy Home paradise would be the first and only Paid DLC for New Horizons... which means, there will be no more DLCs like this in the future. BUT one thing intrigues me... The player can have vacation homes for all villagers in the game but can't have their own house in the resort or the possibility to decorate their island in this same way? it's kinda unfair xD Also, I'd like them to come up with the second floor and roommates to the island villagers as well... like some sort of Happy home paradise achievements, of course.
I agree! It would be awesome if we had at least the option to expand and decrease room sizes on our own islands, even if we have to pay a fee to Nook for it 😂😂
@@umbercinders I would really love to be able to expand or decrease the rooms we have. I’d love to be able to have a big kitchen and be able to use a lot of my decorations but there just isn’t any room

I don’t remember if it was in your pre-update video where you showed off the Nook’s stairway, but I’ve seen a video that shows Nook’s building is not as wide as it can be. It’s not as wide as the museum or resident services. I think that and what you’ve shown means more “minor” or paid updates.
There isnt gonna be any more DLCs, theyve said that after there was some confusion from the Nintendo Direct where they said there wouldnt be any more major updates 👍
@@pachimari3420 There are no more FREE DLC is what Nintendo said, which ceo pointed out very clearly in her video. And Nintendo have updated the game a few times already. Any future major update will be paid.
There have been additional interviews that have shut down future updates, and they have unlocked all the holidays which is another indication that all updates are over. I have no faith in future updates. Just patches MAYBE
This very hopeful and wishful thinking and I really want it to be true! But I want to note that Nintendo was also quoted stating that Happy Home Paradise would be the *only* paid content for New Horizons. I hope that maybe they see the success still to be had from paid content and change their minds but that was the also in the clarification announcement about New Updates from Nintendo.
Thank you! Silly to talk about any other updates. Nintendo is pretty serious when they say they are done with a game. And sadly all, animal crossing NH is done.
Did everyone just choose to forget that they literally said there would be no more major updates? Why get people's hopes up when we literally know this won't happen.
Honestly the current nooks cranny doesnt LOOK like its finished. The colouring and the style is so underwhelming that there just HAS to be a final form imo..
I personally believe there will be a new update for the game. I don't think they are doing anymore major free updates, but they might be doing paid expansions, similar to the Sims. They aren't just gonna abandon this game. It was a major success for them.
I hope Nintendo will just release the update and don't do an announcement on it. Animal Crossing TH-camrs will just do the news spreading for them by releasing video after video showing the update.
I mean…is it possible that the devs just said there won’t be any more updates so people don’t have a come-apart every update if it doesn’t include massive changes? Nintendo was hounded every day by people demanding more and more from them for Animal Crossing so now that they have said “no more major updates (free or otherwise)” people will leave them alone and stop expecting things to be put into the game. I’m not getting my hopes up by any means, but I think it’s just as possible that they realized they shouldn’t have promised their customers a three year timeline in the first place… This way if they do end up giving us more content/updates that are more than bug fixes and stuff, we’ll be thankful instead of complaining over this or that small feature that wasn’t included/changed.
the team for animal crossing is the same team for splatoon 3. they'll be busy with that for the next 3-4 years. theres no time to work on AC. dont get your hopes up for the literal impossible. also LOL that you think a billion dollar company cares if the fans are ""grateful"" or not.
@@Lucy-uf6oi “Only a Sith deals in absolutes.” I mean, sure my thoughts on the subject are not extremely likely. But even so, as long as there is a .000001% chance, there is still a chance. I would hope that a company that works hard to make games people love would care about those people’s opinions/feedback.I hope Splatoon isn’t dealt the same crappy hand that animal crossing was and that you’re right about them actually working on it for the next 3-4 years. Honestly there are so many games to play that if there aren’t anymore updates (minor/major/etc) for AC I’ll be totally fine! Have a good one! 😊
I’m pretty sure this isn’t happening… and from my recollection, Nintendo said the 2.0 update was gonna be last last major update so I personally would classify this as a big update given the fact that if there were a bigger nooks, there would most likely be more items to get. I’m not really sure but that’s what I have to say.
Although I want this so so bad I don’t think we will be seeing any updates at all, I think if anything it will just be new seasonal items and bug fixes
The ladder isn’t really proof of anything, it’s easier to render a full ladder than to cut it off at where the player’s view stops. Plus, if it did lead anywhere it would probably be Timmy and Tommy’s living space.
💔They literally confirmed that it wouldnt, and this would be their final update excluding patches I think. Also now that I’ve watched it, I have a argument, all of the considered: “MAJOR” updates have gotten a trailer, so i don’t think they’d casually add a new feature and not consider it major
They literally said they wouldn't have any more major content updates after last year's DLC announcement. And the whole theme of the game is "deserted island". A big, fancy store full of stuff doesn't fit that theme.
Yet so many players has made town and city based islands like an actual towns and citys. Normally you don’t find those kind of places on deserted islands.
Omg, thank you! You said it all: "free" and "major " were the key word in Nintendo's announcement, while the majority began to believe that it was the LAST ever update, only because IGN (on behalf of Nintendo) said and confirmed that, while Nintendo themselves never conformed nor clarified that. For me, i'm 100% sure we'll see more updates, there is only to define what Nintendo means by "major " and "minor " updates. I personnally hope that we'll see the coming back of Gracie and her sets.
I reckon poor Timmy and Tommy sleep in the shop, and their bedroom is there. There’s also a door on the able sisters and resident services that could lead to their sleeping quarters.
We’re not getting anymore major updates they’ve already stated that idk why people can’t get that in their heads Getting a whole new level for the store is a major update because of how you’d unlock it and whatnot we’re not getting this
I am down to buy into this theory, similarly however....in splatoon 2 (a nintendo game which just coincidentally shares some dev team with animal crossing) there definitely are parts of the main lobby that APPEAR to be expandable areas but turned out to be nothing as the game is now at the point of no more major updates as well (and 3 has now been announced.) That doesn't rule out however, that maybe they did plan on making more expansions and they either never finished on time/saving features for the next game/ things got cancelled or key devs got moved around or really, any other number of jnternal events causing it to not go through to delivery. Anyway tldr cuz I'm rambling...I agree, maybe they have planned an expansion, possibly paid...but also, we have a paid dlc happy island designer, which could almost be treated as a shop expansion....you can buy more stuff daily if you purchase this dlc. It's not a nooks cranny update but it's possible their plans for that morphed into this instead.
I've had to correct people when they say that Nintendo said there'll be no more updates, when they clearly stated no more major free updates, which like you said therefore implies they could still update nooks possibly even ables to have label move into the shop once she's done her thing... There's so much more they could still give us but I love how they put it clear no more major free updates and no more paid DLC too... I never get my hopes up cause my hopes are always torn down so I have had high expectations since I was a child...
You're saying in your own messages that they made it clear "no more major free updates and no more paid DLC"... I don't think a nook's or ables upgrade would be considered 'small', and they also unlocked all the holidays. I think the updates have MOST LIKELY come to an end except for patches personally.
@@ally1538 you may see nooks and ables as major updates but that doesn't mean Nintendo agrees, it might be a small update to them... and quite frankly if that would be their thought process on it I tend to agree because it's an upgrade to the shop which might put Timmy or Tommy on the other floor nothing too major, as for ables could be upgraded for Label and allowing us to change colours of our clothes or something 🤷♀️ But who knows if they're going to upgrade either shop or anything, they said 2 or 3 years of updates so who knows...
Wouldn't it be sweet if we could expand our island and be able to terraform mini islands in the ocean that we could swim to. It would be my own little hidden paradise. I would love it.
I wish we had more music. The OST is very scarce in New Horizons, mainly due to the lack of Main Street (though for good reasons). Us being on an Island as opposed to a peninsula like in New Leaf, is a double-edged sword, and a crutch that made it so that Nintendo only needed to included 2 shops on the main island, until following the update where you can then go to Harv’s Island and get nearly every other vendor from the last entry. Whereas every shop in New Leaf had its own theme; Harriet’s Shampoodle The Able Sisters’ clothier the Nookling Twins’ Connivence Store Leif’s Gardening Store Kicks’ Shoe Shop Katrina’s Fortune Telling Pete/Pelly/Phyllis’ Post Office BOTH Blathers AND Celeste at the Museum Dr. Shrunk’s Comedy Club Luna’s Dream Suite and Nook himself to manage homes (And other facilities like Cyrus & Reese’s Retail, Booker/Copper’s Lost & Found and Brewster’s Roost), Only a selection of these returned, some being compiled together or condensed into smaller features before and after Updates, and other’s made for us to forget completely. And by extension, most of those themes don’t return since the NPCs don’t, and those that do just had their previous themes’ tempos cut in half. Before 2.0, we only had the Nooklings, Nook, 2 of the 3 Able Sisters, and Blathers consistently on the island. Celeste, Kicks, Leif, Sahara, and Label show up randomly in rotation, no 2 ever being on the island at the same time, and Luna and Harriet’s services were condensed into the bed and mirror items, which while Luna is a fair choice, it sucked not to see more of Harriet until 2.0. Katrina, Redd, the Retail Couple*, and Brewster only just returned in the update back in October, but we’ve now since lost the Pelican Trio, and the Lost & Found Officers. (*I know Cyrus and Reese helped Harvey with their anniversary wedding photo thing, but reprising their main feature to customize furniture was kinda weird using the customization kits. I guess they can get something of a pass, since they and their feature returned, just that they were severed from that feature) I guess it makes sense why Shrunk didn’t return, as learning the reactions only through him could be kind of an inconvenience, but they allowed all the villagers to now offer his service to teach reactions, and that at least makes sense from a gameplay standpoint, and a quality of life update, instead of only being able to see him at like 8pm or so. But to have so many of the others make spotty appearances that aren’t even guaranteed, and putting several others on the chopping block to meet Gracie’s fate just sucks. Like the introduction of CJ, Flick, Niko and Wardell in New Horizons is phenomenal, because it serves the same purpose as the Nooklings, a new generation that can also fit that role, a sorta reboot y’know? CJ successes Chip, and Flick for Nat for both the Fishing Tourneys and Bug-Offs, and in the Happy Home Paradise, Niko helps you travel to former clients’ resorts, like how Porter would take you from one train station to different players’ towns. Wardell sells items not just wallpaper like Wendell did, so in that sense he’s an improvement! But changing the Pelicans to just an automatic mailing feature in the game really sucks. I just wish there was more to do and more NPCs to visit on the daily, cuz now I can finish all my daily errands in the game in like 15 minutes, which would’ve been at least double with all the NPCs in New Leaf. Idk, New Horizons isn’t bad per say, I enjoy it still, but it took a while to be almost as good as New Leaf, if that makes sense.
From a development standpoint, the things you found are more likely signs that they were planning an expansion and scrapped it, not that they're placeholders for future updates. Most likely, Harv's island served whatever propose a bigger Nook's would have (based on past expansions). And considering new items didn't even end going to Nook's and had to be obtained via Poki, I say there's no chance.
They said that there won't be another DLC for ACNH Also, do you really think an expansion to Nooks Cranny is a "minor" update? ^^" In an article I saw Nintendo even went as far as to say that there will be NO further updates (no minor nor major) aside from things like bug fixes, seasonal items etc So the probabilities of adding that is as low as them adding new villager personalities as a "minor update"
I still find it weird that they didn't add the new fruit that we got in NL, they have a lot of missing furniture, and Gracie grace which would be good to spend all those bells we earned. I found NH disappointing but that's because I played new leaf for do long. Yeah we can't place furniture outside but why are we still missing bridges? Like I know people would like to have the fairy Bridge and Gracie Grace's princesses set. My favourite was always the wedding set. And the pocket camp items?
Considering the number of items they added in the 2.0 update, it still seems surprising that there is no better way to acquire new items, outside of the 3-5 new ones you get in the shop, items villagers give you, and the random ones you get from the Happy Home DLC. I really would love to see Nook's Cranny at least get 2 or 3 more upgrades.
also you can see that the building doesn't take the full 7x4 space of the plot. like the museum, the actual building gets bigger as you expand but that footprint stays the same from the very beginning. so i think there will be an eventual update too. hoping, so anyway!!
I agree with a lot of what you have pointed out here. I fully believe there will be more paid major updates to add to this game. I don’t think an upgrade to nooks cranny would classify as minor unless that’s literally the only thing added with a bug fix update.
I just want to share my knowledge as a developer in the point you gave on rendering objects. Yes, the trees are not fully rendered but what is not rendered is the leaves, that has the animation of the wind (that puts extra work on the processor) and makes sense not to be rendered but the tree body is fully designed and texturized because it's easier to put a full object from the get-go that to add more in the future if needed. So the stairs being fully rendered and texturized is not that weird.
If the staircase, which has been there from the first day of release, was really a "proof" that they were planning a nook's cranny update, then they wouldn't have clearly stated that they were done with big updates in the game. I'm pretty sure from now on they'll just add new seasonal items/recipes
Apparently Nintendo already said that ACNH isn't getting anymore big updates. Its only gonna get patch/bug updates now. Other than that! What I really wish they added for the new update, is a place in the museum for flowers, and adding new flowers.. I personally think that Brewster should of gotten his own little building.. I felt like that would of been way more cuter that just adding it into the museum.
In a way they already did update nooks cranny it’s the happy home paradise store. That was what they chose to do for this game instead of upgrading nooks cranny a second time.
Nook's Cranny should have a grocery room. Here they would exclusively sell food items, handheld snacks (like ice creams, donuts, sandwiches, etc.) and any produce you currently have growing on your island. While we're on the subject of fruit, let's bring back durians, bananas, and mangos. Have them grow exclusively on tropical Kapp'n islands and make the trees that durians and mangos grow on the same color as those dark trees in the bug section of the museum. And for people who've installed Happy Home Paradise, give us the ability to give our villagers roommates on our own island, then their house interiors would be 8 by 8 if they get a roommate. Oh yeah and give Copper his own office in the resident services building.
When Nintendo said HHP was going to be the last major update I took that to mean the last update that would be quite that big, I took it to mean we'll still get updates, just nothing as big.
They won't get any more dlc either. Nintendo confirmed this somewhere. Though we do still get minor updates so maybe there will be a nooks cranny update? Idk. I think minor update are bug fixes and new items. But we'll see I guess. I hoped it will update.
People say a fancy looking shop would make no sense on a deserted yet so many players has made town and city based islands like an actual towns and citys. Normally you don’t find those kind of places on deserted islands. And players had made alot of fancy themed islands.
In the Nintendo direct there are three different times that they say that they have more content that is coming that is not available right now, we still haven’t even gotten those updates. so I’m pretty sure that is a definite thing, we just haven’t seen it yet. Thank you!!!! I have been saying more is coming. I believe we will get an upgrade and update. we have stuff that hasn’t been shown yet. They said we were getting more stuff we haven’t seen yet. I fully believe that things that are still coming. I also think there will be more crossovers. They never counted the Sanrio series as major. I love the way you presented this idea.
I think that they’ll probably add more smaller updates because if they didn’t want to add anything else then they would have said “last update” instead of “last *major* update” so yes I agree.
Major and free are definitely key words here. I’ve been saying since the game came out that Nintendo is now going the EA route and will start doing microtransactions; they will release a very basic form of the game for the same price as a full game, and then slow release the rest of the content for money. They still have not yet charged, except for the Happy Home DLC, but it wouldn’t surprise me if from now on they charged for everything else…even the Nook upgrade people have been asking for. And the scary thing is that some people will defend this action, guaranteed
Big PLOT Twist Timmy, Tommy sleeping there. They need too a bed. Like the door in the town hall behind isabelle there are rooms for each (Tom and Isablle)and for able sister have too a door :) and we have now 2 Shops Cranny and HHP. I need zelda ,monster Hunter, splatton Items/Villager or somthing new - and Villager can do the same things on the island like on the DLC they using the items different (boxing, etc) so give it us Nintendo.

I'm pretty sorry, y'all. but it is canon that the set of stairs conduct to a type of room or so where timmy and tommy live in :(
proof? do YOU have PROOF of this? i know its true but i am wondering if theres proof to that at all
If there was a shop update, what would it add?
Dude the NL shop expansions had soooo many items per day!! It's ridiculous to me how few we get in NH
No more paid or free updates?? So there will be no more updates
@@elijah6169 now im scared idk why 🙃
nah, I think a small thing like a second floor wouldnt be a major update thing. Also if its just there living space then why wouldnt any other npc on the island have an area like that. Nintendo is smart and thinks every little detail thru. :) I do think tho its possible they were going to add it but then decided not to especially with all the other updates. still a possibility tho
@@BumbleteaArt it's been confirmed it's timmy and tommys living space
With how much easier it is now for Nintendo to roll out small updates and how wide of an audience New Horizons has I don’t think they’ll abandon this game based on its age anytime soon.
sir adding something you can see is a major update
I wish the upstairs of the shops could be unlocked as apartments for the NPCs that you can decorate when you beat HHP.
Is that so much to ask for??
this they meant no huge things added they still uppdate and patch
Its been out for years?? It literally hasn't even hit 2 years yet
@@derekpreston6868 lol, my bad. Before NH I hadn't played since City Folk
I still don't think they will update nook's at this point. It would already be built in if they were going to
One thing that indicates to me that there'll be an upgrade is the fact that the building doesn't take up all the plot space, it has a porch thing around it.
Even up to the lookout tower at the airport ?
ooo you're right! Like how the Museum tent takes up more space with the little roped off area than it expands and takes up the whole plot! Good eye!
except villager buildings town hall airport and i think harvs
actually it still doesnt theres space where you cant place stuff@@ceomg
I highly doubt it. It's been nearly 2 years since the game came out, I think if we were gonna get and upgrade to nooks or Ables we would have had it already
But I think they mentioned somewhere, that Happy Home paradise would be the first and only Paid DLC for New Horizons... which means, there will be no more DLCs like this in the future.
BUT one thing intrigues me... The player can have vacation homes for all villagers in the game but can't have their own house in the resort or the possibility to decorate their island in this same way? it's kinda unfair xD
Also, I'd like them to come up with the second floor and roommates to the island villagers as well... like some sort of Happy home paradise achievements, of course.
I agree! It would be awesome if we had at least the option to expand and decrease room sizes on our own islands, even if we have to pay a fee to Nook for it 😂😂
@@umbercinders i would happily pay this fee for Tom Nook XD i think it wont be that expensive since his price is 9000 bells for simple decorations XD

@@umbercinders I would really love to be able to expand or decrease the rooms we have. I’d love to be able to have a big kitchen and be able to use a lot of my decorations but there just isn’t any room
@@ys1876 I think it's a shame that we have all these new features, but they don't really work in our small rooms on our island. The long, wide upper floor and basement rooms aren't great for making effects like scenery on the back wall with a balcony for example, like we can do on HHP.
I don’t remember if it was in your pre-update video where you showed off the Nook’s stairway, but I’ve seen a video that shows Nook’s building is not as wide as it can be. It’s not as wide as the museum or resident services. I think that and what you’ve shown means more “minor” or paid updates.

Well, this video aged well
I hope Nintendo will just release the update and don't do an announcement on it. Animal Crossing TH-camrs will just do the news spreading for them by releasing video after video showing the update.
Nintendo must love the free advertising we give them!
@@ceomg do you think it will be true. I thought that they said that they are not going to add that
I think blanca will return b/c they did the december update meaning they can do an April update
But what did the december update added apart from new items for toy day?
Not odds to hang my hat on, so like I said, my hopes are not high haha.
And yes!
Nintendo said HHP was the only DLC as well. So I don't think we'll see anymore dlcs
I remember that nintendo said in an article that this is the last update for acnh, maybe we might get small dlc updates but I doubt so
Although I want this so so bad I don’t think we will be seeing any updates at all, I think if anything it will just be new seasonal items and bug fixes
The ladder isn’t really proof of anything, it’s easier to render a full ladder than to cut it off at where the player’s view stops. Plus, if it did lead anywhere it would probably be Timmy and Tommy’s living space.
I think Tommy and Timmy live on the 2nd floor of Nook's Cranny. That's why that ladder is there.
💔They literally confirmed that it wouldnt, and this would be their final update excluding patches I think.
Also now that I’ve watched it, I have a argument, all of the considered: “MAJOR” updates have gotten a trailer, so i don’t think they’d casually add a new feature and not consider it major
I really want bulk crafting. It would be so helpful too!
and… maybe redeeming multiple things from nook miles at once???
I wouldn't call this proof at all sadly, just a conspiracy :( I'd LOVE a Nooks Cranny update, but realistically do I see it happening? No
They literally said they wouldn't have any more major content updates after last year's DLC announcement.
And the whole theme of the game is "deserted island". A big, fancy store full of stuff doesn't fit that theme.
Yet so many players has made town and city based islands like an actual towns and citys. Normally you don’t find those kind of places on deserted islands.
What part about "last big update" don't people understand
Omg, thank you! You said it all: "free" and "major " were the key word in Nintendo's announcement, while the majority began to believe that it was the LAST ever update, only because IGN (on behalf of Nintendo) said and confirmed that, while Nintendo themselves never conformed nor clarified that. For me, i'm 100% sure we'll see more updates, there is only to define what Nintendo means by "major " and "minor " updates. I personnally hope that we'll see the coming back of Gracie and her sets.
When I first saw the staircase while playing one night, I just thought that it was a storage something space.
I reckon poor Timmy and Tommy sleep in the shop, and their bedroom is there. There’s also a door on the able sisters and resident services that could lead to their sleeping quarters.
Those stairs have been there since day 1 of upgrading the cranny.
you guys DO remember that new horizons is DONE with all major updates. we're not getting anything new in terms of building upgrades or other stuff.
We’re not getting anymore major updates they’ve already stated that idk why people can’t get that in their heads
Getting a whole new level for the store is a major update because of how you’d unlock it and whatnot we’re not getting this
I am down to buy into this theory, similarly however....in splatoon 2 (a nintendo game which just coincidentally shares some dev team with animal crossing) there definitely are parts of the main lobby that APPEAR to be expandable areas but turned out to be nothing as the game is now at the point of no more major updates as well (and 3 has now been announced.)
That doesn't rule out however, that maybe they did plan on making more expansions and they either never finished on time/saving features for the next game/ things got cancelled or key devs got moved around or really, any other number of jnternal events causing it to not go through to delivery.
The only issue with the paid island dlc is nintendo came out already and stated there will be no more future paid dlc for acnh
I thought that Timmy & Tommy live upstairs? The light is on after the shop closes... gosh, I just hope we get like 300 custom slots haha....
adding in caves to explore would also be nice - might actually find some gold nuggets for a change!!!
If anything, I'd think Gracie would have a floor in an expanded Nook's, since she otherwise isn't a part of NH. But I certainly won't hold my breath.
You're saying in your own messages that they made it clear "no more major free updates and no more paid DLC"... I don't think a nook's or ables upgrade would be considered 'small', and they also unlocked all the holidays. I think the updates have MOST LIKELY come to an end except for patches personally.
@@ally1538 you may see nooks and ables as major updates but that doesn't mean Nintendo agrees, it might be a small update to them... and quite frankly if that would be their thought process on it I tend to agree because it's an upgrade to the shop which might put Timmy or Tommy on the other floor nothing too major, as for ables could be upgraded for Label and allowing us to change colours of our clothes or something 🤷♀️
But who knows if they're going to upgrade either shop or anything, they said 2 or 3 years of updates so who knows...
Wouldn't it be sweet if we could expand our island and be able to terraform mini islands in the ocean that we could swim to. It would be my own little hidden paradise. I would love it.
Nintendo already said they won’t do any more paid DLC, so if this happens it will be for everyone!
Whereas every shop in New Leaf had its own theme;
Harriet’s Shampoodle
The Able Sisters’ clothier
the Nookling Twins’ Connivence Store
Leif’s Gardening Store
Kicks’ Shoe Shop
Katrina’s Fortune Telling
Pete/Pelly/Phyllis’ Post Office
BOTH Blathers AND Celeste at the Museum
Dr. Shrunk’s Comedy Club
Luna’s Dream Suite
and Nook himself to manage homes
(And other facilities like Cyrus & Reese’s Retail, Booker/Copper’s Lost & Found and Brewster’s Roost),
Only a selection of these returned, some being compiled together or condensed into smaller features before and after Updates, and other’s made for us to forget completely.
I guess they can get something of a pass, since they and their feature returned, just that they were severed from that feature)
I guess it makes sense why Shrunk didn’t return, as learning the reactions only through him could be kind of an inconvenience, but they allowed all the villagers to now offer his service to teach reactions, and that at least makes sense from a gameplay standpoint, and a quality of life update, instead of only being able to see him at like 8pm or so.
They also said later that the current DLC will be the only paid content they'll add.
They said that there won't be another DLC for ACNH
Also, do you really think an expansion to Nooks Cranny is a "minor" update? ^^"
In an article I saw Nintendo even went as far as to say that there will be NO further updates (no minor nor major) aside from things like bug fixes, seasonal items etc
So the probabilities of adding that is as low as them adding new villager personalities as a "minor update"
So much for the 3 year of updates most of the 2 year one’s weren’t major updates just little ones they promised us updates and they lied to us
You sure… they said no more huge updates
Nintendo said that hhp would be the only dlc for the game
I still find it weird that they didn't add the new fruit that we got in NL, they have a lot of missing furniture, and Gracie grace which would be good to spend all those bells we earned. I found NH disappointing but that's because I played new leaf for do long. Yeah we can't place furniture outside but why are we still missing bridges? Like I know people would like to have the fairy Bridge and Gracie Grace's princesses set. My favourite was always the wedding set. And the pocket camp items?
I have a theory about the missing fruits. I’ll talk about it in another video
@@ceomg good because there's this one fish recipe that has a lemon on the picture yet no lemon needed
I copped the "major* magic word as well. I thought that was fishy/fodder for further hope.
Yep
That was the best part about Nooks Cranny .. the upstairs
I mean, a secondary island would be nice but who knows
This is a sucky speculation. The stairs have been there. I wish TH-cam would let you see the dislikes on a video….
Nintendo confirmed that there will be no other paid dlcs, they stated that this dlc will be the only paid dlc :( unless they change their minds
also you can see that the building doesn't take the full 7x4 space of the plot. like the museum, the actual building gets bigger as you expand but that footprint stays the same from the very beginning. so i think there will be an eventual update too. hoping, so anyway!!
This is the first video I've seen from you channel. And I'm already subscribing!
I rlly hope acnh gets another update or at least small ones. I feel like the game is still pretty big.
The fact they so much big updates makes me so happy about the game because there always will be something new to discover
i'm cackling at the soulless look Timmy and Tommy are giving you.. like you walked across the counter and they just.....
**stares mother fudgingly**
I agree with a lot of what you have pointed out here. I fully believe there will be more paid major updates to add to this game. I don’t think an upgrade to nooks cranny would classify as minor unless that’s literally the only thing added with a bug fix update.
So excited for this! Definitely brings back some nostalgia
So the stairs being fully rendered and texturized is not that weird.
ty for the info!
Didn’t they say the last update would be the last major one? So isn’t any major patch like this almost 0% likely?
Oh noo I did not expect this kind of trickery on my lush trees and bamboo. The betrayal hahaha
The only things left that I would love to have back are the town tree and nooks shop update.
In a way they already did update nooks cranny it’s the happy home paradise store. That was what they chose to do for this game instead of upgrading nooks cranny a second time.
The day animal crossing came out, I guessed that Gracie would get an upstairs over there.
I hate to have to be the one to tell you this, but those stairs have been there since 1.0 once you upgrade the shop.
Didn't Nintendo later say there were no other DLC planned for New Horizons?
Sure did
When Nintendo said HHP was going to be the last major update I took that to mean the last update that would be quite that big, I took it to mean we'll still get updates, just nothing as big.
They won't get any more dlc either. Nintendo confirmed this somewhere. Though we do still get minor updates so maybe there will be a nooks cranny update? Idk. I think minor update are bug fixes and new items. But we'll see I guess. I hoped it will update.
You showing me the back of all my trees has me shook....*shudders*
Omg in the beginning ceo just chilling on the nooks cranny roof like it's nothing lol
Nintindo said that the 2.0 update was their last update on animal crossing nh
likely they will add an observatory to the museum on the right side of the upstairs area in the future with celeste inside it most of the time.
The area behind the counter is probably hinting towards a living space for the nooklings. Pretty sure there is no update coming for this one.
Imagine the devs see this lol
Big PLOT Twist Timmy, Tommy sleeping there. They need too a bed. Like the door in the town hall behind isabelle there are rooms for each (Tom and Isablle)and for able sister have too a door :)
and we have now 2 Shops Cranny and HHP. I need zelda ,monster Hunter, splatton Items/Villager or somthing new - and Villager can do the same things on the island like on the DLC they using the items different (boxing, etc) so give it us Nintendo.
