morten is well known for his long notes. Also is lower register is absolutely astounding. I’ve been an a-ha fan for 39 years, been with me since I was 12, now I’m 51. You have sooooo many fantastic songs and live performances to discover. Morten is easily one of the greatest vocalists ever, he just doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.
The song was written by Magne Furuholmen, who plays keyboards in the band. The main songwriter for a-ha is Pål Waaktaar Savoy, but Magne has been involved in the songwriting from the beginning, and this is perhaps his most important song for a-ha. When the two of them came together in the band's early days, they created pure magic. Unfortunately, that time is over, the collaboration problems are too great within the band, so now they create music separately. The band has many amazing songs, but for some reason I always come back to this one as my favorite from the band. The atmosphere in the song - and the nostalgia, as you so rightly point out - captures me every time. Mortens is a fantastic vocalist. His voice is so soft and full of emotion, and his control of the voice is impressive. He can twist and turn it, up, down, back and forth. His range is huge, and although he is best known for his falsetto, his lower register is if possible even better.
Hello Kari i hope you’re well? i am an A-HA fan from Scotland who is part of Matt Sniders reaction commenters . Take care 😘🏴 just wanted to say Hi. ❤️🇳🇴❤️A-HA FOREVER❤️🇳🇴❤️
A-HA’s ending on a high note was in Oslo, Norway. I love this concert it’s very emotional for A-HA fans at times because we all thought this was the end of the band but they came back and the rest is history.
Another classic a-ha hit from the 80s era. This is a nice update and rendition of the song with orchestrations. Honestly the original stands up really well in the music world today. This song is great in the car on a long drive, Towns passing by at speed and wind blowing in your hair. As i said, it's a classic.
Hi, Thanks for another great reaction of A-HA’s music especially live. The first time i seen A-HA live Magne the keyboard player said look after Scotland while we’re away then they played the last song which was stay on these roads and that’s always stuck with me so hearing the song live makes me think back to when i seen A-HA live. Take care 😘🏴 ❤️🇳🇴❤️A-HA FOREVER❤️🇳🇴❤️

Great reaction. It was in Oslo. You did react to someone singing this song on The Voice Norway, just for information.
Oh yeah! I did, Irina
