I love the classic EMD beer keg control stands and the very basic "dashboard" lay out, thems were the days! Simple, but functional. Great video John, much appreciated you sharing them. Dave
I recall when the B Class first rolled up in tangerine with its new 3 car tangerine set, around mid 1981, we were on the platform at Spencer Street to relieve & run to Cobram, those horrible colours stood out like dogs balls, from the old VR blue and gold or even the old red wooden cars still looked better. The beginin of the end for the VR. Nice memories your old videos, thanks Jerry
Thanks much for a fun cool video. My grand dad use to run locomotives like that here in usa. The engineer seat on right side of engine cab. Safe railroading.
Awsome footage I like the B class locomotives. But I find it would of been even more informative if it was stated wich controls the engineer was actuating whilst driving the beastly B class..😃😅✌

Great video of the in-cab action of Driver & Fireman, plus the Driver wearing his period tinted safety glasses. Thanks for taking the time to share.
And thanks for watching.

It is not every day where you get to ride in the cab of a locomotive.
It helped being the railways Chief Photographer.
