If you look at the lever action rifles used in Cowboy Action shooting virtually all have a leather wrap around the bottom of the loop, this makes a HUGE improvement in comfort when shooting a lever action. You can buy them from many suppliers but I usually make my own. They can be sewn on, laced on or I put snaps on mine. You can also buy leather shoe laces and wrap the bottom of the lever with the leather laces. I use snaps on mine, the lever can rust under the leather, so I take mine off and oil it every time I clean it.
Have one of these but the "all weather hunting" version in stai less with synthetic furniture. Over here I can still use the 7 shell tube without blocking it and still go hunting with it, use it mostly for boar hunting. Great shooter and smooth ☺️
I despise our government. People making laws about things they don't understand. Make it hard for us farmers to even own them so we can put food on their table. Keep your silly laws to the city.
the be aware part is actually an advantage because it gives you an extra round if you take the trouble to put the max capacity by removing the spring putting the shells and placing the spring again.
Regarding the tendency to beat up your knuckles: wrap paracord around the bottom edge of the lever, tie it off, and run a lighter under the bottom to soften it and make it set up in position. It makes levering rounds much more comfortable in large quantities.
I love lever action guns!!! I seeing some guys complain in Australia 🇦🇺 About buy a gun legal or ilegal but they have no idea how hard is for you to buy a gun in Brasil 🇧🇷!!!!!!
What you did with the shell is called ghost loading or carrier loading. I see how that gun would prevent you from properly doing this if the shell pops back. It's a way of getting an extra shell in the gun. Load one in the chamber. Fill the tube. Open the action and push the shell down into the carrier. Load another shell into the action. There you go. One plus one, plus your full tube. Maxed out carry. Great trick for hunting to give you an extra shot. Hate plugs.
Take up, or creep? It looked to me like you showed normal take up. Trigger creep to me would be any movement after it has reached the wall, but not every trigger is designed to break like a glass rod either (best example of a glass like break that I have would be my Daniel Defense MK18 with Geissele SD3G, or Walther PPQ M1 Navy 9mm).
I bought the 5 round .410 version of this gun. I found it in my gun store and was only going for $250. I never owned a lever gun before and I wanted to try one out before investing "heavily" into a gun. So I went and bought it as a simple "test" gun not even thinking I would like the gun since it was obviously cheap but I was blown away at how nice and sturdy it was once I started trying it out and I shot it for nearly 2 days straight and it quickly became my favorite gun I have ever owned
I wonder if this is legal in the US? One question: if it's that easy to remove the barrel, is it possible to get a second barrel for the same gun, say, 28" inches long for hunting and use the shorter barrel for clay shooting at the range? Or something like that??
it's a super cool idea. looks cool, but as the camera gets closer you can notice it's a bit rough around the edges. even the checker in looks rough. Really unfortunate. Maybe next model will be a bit cleaner.
They r cheap and the guns coming out of new factory seem to b finished off nicer mine really only has one superficial negative that is the butt pad looks and is really rough but its a farm gun. If I got a more expensive gun I wouldn' use it as much.
why dont you include more specs in your video. talk about the type of steel the sohtgun uses, barrel steel, receiver material, aluminum, steel? Finish? Is the barrel chrome lined? hows the durability, any company torture tests done on it? This is useful information that people will watch your channel to find out. take care
so its been almost a year sense you uploaded this, over that time have you noticed anything you'd like to point out wether it be good or bad? pretty interested in getting one
Or countries who has extremely tight gun laws that banned all semi auto rifles then this is an option compared to the old twin barrel shotgun like in Australia which by the way did not reduce gun crime like our own terrorist attack armed with a semi auto shotgun which was banned ages ago.
Yes quite possible but from what i read its because the states cant agree where the gun should be classified as since "8 rounds in 8 seconds" to them sounds like a semi auto which is just asinine considering how fast people can shoot lever action rifles so im not sure nothing i read that was explaing as to why it is didnt make any sense but hopefully they come to an agreement i love this gun
+The Hunting Gear Guy no that was was the decision in the us since it can be fired so rapidly the states within the country cant agree with the NFA where it should be classified not the amount of rounds but the rate of which they should be fiered
You're thinking of Australia, the US has no restriction on semi automatic rifles or shotguns in most states. The ATF defines fully automatic weapons as firing multiple shots with one pull of the trigger. This shotgun can obviously only shoot once per trigger pull and can't repeatedly shoot with consecutive trigger pulls on its own and so has to be cycled by the shooter, making it manually cycled like any other bolt action or lever action
You can ghost load a lot of shotguns or whatever you want to call it fill the mag tube drop the bolt with a round in the chamber then open it a little just enough to push that shell in the chamber down onto the loading gate then place one in the chamber close it up and you got one in the barrel one on the gate and in my case 5 in the tube
+The Hunting Gear Guy oh cause I've been looking for a recreational shotgun and I think the lever action models are super cool, and out of the ones I've seen this seems to be a good one
looks pretty good, one thing I'm not fond of, is that the trigger on it isn't incorporated into the lever. You'll mess up one day and close that lever and your finger will wind up between the trigger and the lever. Ouch!
Xr8dACE420 I think I've also seen a magazine tube extension specifically made for an 1887. My norinco one is okay fit and finish wise but as for performance, I haven't gotten to fire it but as long as you run the lever ALL the way with force, it sends dummy's flying.
I was looking at a gun auction site this morning . They sold 2 of them for 400 dollars for the pair and I almost bid on them but I didnt know . Now I am kicking myself for not bidding and I am very depressed .
The mechanics and work look pretty good. I'm considering this or the century model87 but I'm hearing very mixed reviews about that gun. I want a lever action but the 87 seems to be kind of a boat anchor even though its gorgeous in appearance. But I wont sacrifice reliability fuck that
Had mine for a while now its a 28" barrel have looked after it and it still looks really nice it is super fun to use but also really functional for farm use does a number on rabbits. Have a straight pill 12ga 20" barrel by the same manufacturer(adler)out of Turkey....... good review I'm from oz so we don't have many options on shotgun actions we r allowed break barrels, lever, bolt and straight pull. The straight pull is virtually a broken semi auto.

I have used a 20" wood model with the fluro orange quality control sticker. Was smooth and easy to cycle from new.

There are only 3 chokes not 4? If you look at the video there is no choke in the gun? 10:36 The models sold in Australia only have 3?
Still waiting to actually see these in the stores.
That's one gorgeous shotgun!
Would it be worth having a version of this weapon in the 30 rem caliber?
This gun in Legal in Sweden if you've taken the hunting exam.
With no magazine limit as that only apply to semi automatic and pump shotguns.
I don't know why I like that lever action shotgun so much but I do.
p.s. I'm a Benelli legacy owner even
i can't seem to find it on Tactical Imports' site anymore, i hope they'll bring it back soon. want to get one.
Don't got many option of them in the USA. We got the Henry 410 lever gun
And the chippa Winchester clones don't cycle well.
How do you remove the bolt? Thanks
Did you find that after 200 rounds that the action smoothed up some?
Wouldn't mind having one of those in either 20 ga. or 410.

Why they dont sell it in canada anymore?
Is it still legal
Still legal, maybe they just haven't brought any new ones in recently
I don't think that's a bead sight on the barrel that's more of a blade sight! What do you guys think?
I'm glad he safety checked it...it might gone off and hurt me...
Are you in the states? Where did you get yours?
Canada. Tactical Imports brings them in.
around $750
You need to get you some small diameter paracord and wrap your lever to help your hands not get hurt while actuating the lever. It works great.
That sounds like something a villain in an old western would do. "They say he only wears one glove."

yes and it can take the longer magnum rounds if you want to punnish your shoulder lol.
