Another great video mate. This is definitely the stuff new shooters search for and previously couldn't find easily explained. You're a true asset to our sport/hobby.
You make me want to return to the outback and do some hunting. I worked as Roo Shooter back in the early 90s. It was an amazing education as I was a younger lad then.
Awesome comprehensive guide. I think i need to watch this through a few times to make sure i fully understand it. I dont want to damage my new Lever Action Adler!
It's always good to see video like this, that explain what some of us might be 'rusty' on,....I am, as I don't do much shotgun shooting, this is good to know.
Just letting you all know rrp in Eastern states is now around $1575.00. The 28” gun will cycle 28 gram shells. The magazine tube situation has been resolved. The magazine follower in the first batch of guns was a little long. It has been replaced with a slightly shorter one and now everything works perfectly. We also now have a forend for left handed shooters.
when i was in Nz , i used my FIL mossberg 12g pump action and he was using 3" 36g shells, so just trying to work out what the rest of the numbers mean on the box, it as 12/76/16 - 36g and then under (3" - 1 1/4 oz.)
Thanks for that demonstration, had a fair idea regarding chokes and patterns etc, however that practical demo fine tuned my thinking, know it must have been time consuming for you.
Great vid mate! I'm new to shotty's and I was told that I shouldn't go any lower then my two narrowest chokes out of the 5, but you did OK with it? With slugs, I understand!
Thanks Ozzie, great information and well presented. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to shoot and show the Patterns. My Mate has a 20" Stoger 12G side by side and I have an under over 24" Savage 24 223/12G. What difference do these barrel lengths make in Shotguns? I originally had Full choke and it pattered 00 Buckshot really well at 25Y, but I experienced doughnut patterns where the centre thinned with AAA and BB. Due to targeting small game, I now have a modified choke and will pattern that with different shot as well. Have you experienced being over choked?
G'day Ozzie great video, very informative. I'm looking into getting a 12g for knocking over close foxs whilst whistling. I can't choose between a under and over or a straight pull/lever action. What would you choose and why.
The lever action and straight pull will give you greater magazine capacity. However you can get much better quality from over unders. I would recommend the lever action for hunting foxes.
Hi Ozzie, I have a question I was hoping you may be able to help with . Could you tell me if and where I maybe be able to purchase the Adler A110 choke set please. The case and key & the 3 dies or plus dies you might reccomend
Perfect. I was shopping for my first shotty last week. Will be a 50/50 mix use between rabbits on my property and clays at the local range a few times a year. My local shop recommended the MK70 sport (I was asking about the MK38 trap or MK70 field ) but they said go for the sport. Didn't have one on the shelf anymore though so waiting to see one in person before I buy it
As a new shooter your clips are a bloody gold mine of info m8. Thank you very much for your time and knowledge. Priceless!!

This actually really helped me understand what is going on with chokes. also the steel shot info was a great tip. Thanks heaps mate.
Fantastic. Good to see different patterns
Thanks for another great video Ozzie. The explanation of what chokes to use with steel shot and solids was particularly helpful mate, Cheers. :)
You’re welcome, I’m glad you got something from it.
Another great video, i look forward to the rest of this installment. Well done.

Just recently picked myself up an under over Stoeger Outback tactical and this is some great info, cheers 👍

Awesome thanks for explaining in simplicity!
Thanks Mate, just bought my first shotgun today and really needed this video 😅
Great tutorial thanks Ozzie 👍

Fantastic video mate, if more people educated themselves with videos like this, we might not have such ridiculous gun laws.

Yeah great intro vid. Those target swaps would have taken ages. Watching the clock for my first piece.
Excellent
Thanks Caba buying a 12 gauge so was good info
Nice video. Getting ready to head out with my 20 guage, modified choke, pump action with #5s to try and kill some rabbits with a good pack of beagles
Thanks Ozzie, really increased my understanding of chokes, can we expect any under and over reviews in the near future?
thank you so much, it is really helpful.
Wow those shotguns are amazing fully chocked. Looks like they will do a lot more damage than a rifle close range.
Great vid mate! I'm new to shotty's and I was told that I shouldn't go any lower then my two narrowest chokes out of the 5, but you did OK with it? With slugs, I understand!
Just stick to what I said here and you’ll be fine 👍
@ozziereviews cheers mate...subscribed
Great vid very informative thanks 🙂👍
Cheers Mate!
Great video mate. Would it be possible to cover shotgun barrel length? About to get an Adler but not sure what barrel length to chose
Thanks Ozzie, great information and well presented. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to shoot and show the Patterns.

Yes, it's a matter of testing each choke and various shot shells as different brands will pattern differently also...
Can u do a pattern test for duck shooting with steel and the different between steel and lead sizes
Hi Ozzie , great video. what's the point of using extended chokes ?
this was awesome!
Glad you liked it!

I would recommend the lever action for hunting foxes.
Ozzie I thought there was no evidence on the solids, as they are smaller than the chokes anyway?

What model miroku is that and does it get the Ozzie tick of approval?
Model 70 sporter, if there’s enough interest I’d happily review it...
