- Finally got my 2nd lift installed so I can now have both boats up on the lift. I take out the boat on a windy and choppy day while the guys worked and also had lunch at my favorite local restaurant.

I'm curious, have you done a video that explains your reasoning behind buying two boats that are of somewhat similar size? Also, when the next huricane hits, do you plan on leaving both of those on the lift?
Not a video giving that explanation but when I first got the boat I explained why but since I got you here already I will tell you why. The sea hunt is a perfect boat I call it the Swiss Army knife of boats it can do it all and with just 1.5 feet of draft. Now the cobia even tho it’s only 5 feet longer and wider it provided me a longer range not only in fuel but in weather It can take. Also having a cabin with a/c is a game changer now being able to sleep on the boat. But the mean reason is I’m going to be doing long distance trips and the cobia far more suited for that then the sea hunt which can do it also but not with a whole family on board. We basically outgrew the sea hunt but I did not get rid of it because I do alot if solo trips and a 30 is easy to manage and handle solo

@@MiamiLiving305 Hi Ariel, My brother and I have a similar setup. We are up in the Treasure Coast between Sebastian and Ft. Pierce Inlets, and have a Sea Hunt 27 Gamefish for offshore, and a 22 Sea Hunt Bay Boat for going to the sandbars and fishing inshore or just taking out on solo trips or 2-3 people for fun. I was unsure about keeping both when we got the 27, but my brother was right (for once) :) and it has been the best decision. I found Miami Living 305 way back when looking for Sea Hunt Videos, and I'm glad you are also keeping the Sea Hunt! Love your channel.

Great video as always! Looking to relocate out of miami to KL soon. Hows your travel time get to the ocean side through Adams? debating on what side of the island to buy on
I can come straight out because I’m on the ocean side! Once you start thur adams cut your looking at 25-30 min with the no wake zones to get out to the Atlantic. It’s one of the reason why the ocean side house are almost double of the bay side

rates have gone up but you can still find insurance

Depends on situation. Long Distance Cobia! Shooting around the keys sandbars and restaurant hopping Sea Hunt

Hove you noticed and popping sounds fromnyour lift recently when its lowering and lifting?
Yes those are the wires of the lift that sometimes get salt build up on them for being next to the water
@MiamiLiving305 Okay, yeah. I have your same Hurricane lift and they made the drum from aluminum instead of Stainless steel. Anyway, the wires corroded into the aluminum, and shards of it come away with the wire as it lift and lowers and it popps so loud my neighbors all down the canal hear it.
@@skullhart these pop a little bit not that loud either and I hit them with a spray to keep them as clean as possible! I also hit it with the hose Everytime I wash the boat
@MiamiLiving305 same here, doesn't fix. My lift is 8 months old. Hopefully you get better response from them than I did so far, nothing.

Why 2 center consoles and they look similar? For hanging out around town like harbor bars would not one should stick with RIB boat which can lot more maneuverable and you can buy more power as well.
The cobia is better suited for longer distance since the fuel thank holds almost twice as much fuel. Also the cobia has A/C and a bed to sleep in overnights. The sea hunt is better for me to use when when filming along I can get into about 2 ft of water and I can easily put it on the trailer and haul it out to any other destination I want unlike the Cobia that all Travel is by water

Being English I stopped the video at the menu and looked at the prices there not bad but not cheap either there on par with a top end fish and chip restaurant in Dartmouth which is on the river Dart very very pretty and very very nice food but still not like the views you get there its double what I pay in my town and that's top end for my town
