Oh goodness, Vinted! I fell down a Cath Kidston rabbit hole last week and now have SEVEN very usable bags of all sizes (all like new and designs that I coveted back in the day) for less than one would have been new! I really miss these stores that have disappeared - hope Wilko can be saved 🤞🏻
Morning Mr C. Happy Sunday! The weather down here in Devon has been horrible - lots of rain and grey skies and simultaneously very muggy and hot. I went to Cornwall for the weekend last weekend and on Sunday morning we had blue skies, it was lovely, so we decided to go for a morning swim in the outdoor pool - within 5 minutes of getting in the heavens opened up; we just carried on swimming as we were wet anyway! 😂
A Man Called Otto is good and so is the book it's based on, "Ove". The silk scarf is beautiful and will make a lovely gift. The plaid shirt is good looking.
You find the coolest things on the street--that little shelf unit is perfect. It's raining here today, too and I do love a rainy day to enjoy your videos. My cat used to retrieve, her favorite ball, too, and then one day when she was six months old she gave me a look--essentially, "you threw it; you pick it up"--and never did it again!
I always love seeing the kitties! And, the ottoman makes the purrrfect bed. The "new" swimming trunks are nice. I love the tropical prints. I can't wait to see the new paint in the kitchen.😊
Love the little lamp, in the corner, with the white light....very classy looking. I usually shop on Ebay but after seeing your bargains, i will be on vinted next. That little bamboo table is perfect. Our two lady cats love the baskets and boxes too, even both very different , one is very reserved and the other into mischief all the time. They are both getting closer, but i still think our tom cats were more loving... These are surprising us every day though.😻😸
Here in Bethlehem PA we are suffering the curse of Musicfest! A lot of rain. We had tornado warning this week as well. Woke up at 1 to really scary thunder and lightning for hours! So glad today is the last day!😊

Can't wait to see your kitchen makeover, looking at the sneak preview its going to be perfect. Your paint choice looks ideal for the shelves. Love the idea of storage jars for leftover paint. Might be a good idea to buy a small rubber spatula to scrape the last drops of paint from the tin into the jar. It was rainy last night up in the North East,but its sunny at the moment.i enjoy browsing the charity shops too. There is three charity shops where i live.

Sadly Wilkos will be no longer, if you look on their site, you will see a farewell letter from the CEO and also no online shopping with no deliveries or collect either. Amazing to think no more Wilkos soon, not sure how long the stores will remain open, but I hope to get down to my local one this coming week sometime and stock up on some of my usual stuff I buy from them. If you are going to go on a short vacation to get out of the humidity and heat, you really don’t want to come to the United States. It’s like hot and humid in almost every state here. Some states have temps over 100°F. You know my air conditioner is working double time here on the southeast coast of Florida. It’s also hurricane season so, you might want to look for someplace like New Zealand that might still have a lot of snow on the tops of the mountain region. Hope you have a nice week. Iowan, can I ask you about the heated clothes dryers. I am assuming they are more economical to run than tumble dryers? I use my dryer a lot in the winter when I can't peg anything out. I am considering purchasing a heated clothes dryer but am sitting on the fence about them as I do not know very much about them. Can I ask you are they quite effective in drying your clothes? and what should I look out for when purchasing? Thank you so much in advance for any advice you can give. Mr. Carrington's face when looking at the kittens is just adorable. You sure have become a fabulous cat daddy ❤. I'm quite a bit of a window peeker. But just because i love to see the sky, birds and trees. I live in a small village and on the back side of the flat there are fields so I watch people walking their dogs, sometimes whith my cats 😂. On the front side there are buildings but they are quite apart, because my building has a little garden and the buildings on the opposite side of the street also have a garden and a small playground, so i have a wide view. Only a few cars pass by, its a one way street so its not very busy and there is hardly anyone walking by, specially now with this heat. As always lovely finds, you were lucky to get the new basket to match the one you already have. I hope you will soon let us see the new bathroom and kitchen makeover. I'm sure they will be wonderful!

I am considering purchasing a heated clothes dryer but am sitting on the fence about them as I do not know very much about them. Can I ask you are they quite effective in drying your clothes? and what should I look out for when purchasing? Thank you so much in advance for any advice you can give. I'm quite a bit of a window peeker. But just because i love to see the sky, birds and trees. I live in a small village and on the back side of the flat there are fields so I watch people walking their dogs, sometimes whith my cats 😂. On the front side there are buildings but they are quite apart, because my building has a little garden and the buildings on the opposite side of the street also have a garden and a small playground, so i have a wide view. Only a few cars pass by, its a one way street so its not very busy and there is hardly anyone walking by, specially now with this heat.
As always lovely finds, you were lucky to get the new basket to match the one you already have.
I hope you will soon let us see the new bathroom and kitchen makeover. I'm sure they will be wonderful!
