    That’s some quality work there, love the modelling, proper detail… hours of work👍. And loving the baby M3… I had an E30 318iS, wish I’d never sold it…
    Great work keep it coming… (sub’d 😁 - but next time give us some of that Bavarian soundtrack!)

      Thanks =D its long in the making. First wanted to build a flat slide System but that was a failure/waste of time.
      Will keep driving it to test reliability and add Datalogging :) try without the filter ;)
      Its awesome to be able to see the journey of likeminded people solving problems and getting it running. Really looking forward to the next update on yours!

    This is freakin sweet! Now you just need to build a speeduino stand alone ECU tune it

    Nice work. You will need a wideband afr sensor and adjust INJ at WOT.

    What a well designed unit! It looks like it fits very well in the stock engine bay. What did you use for the 3D scan of the engine bay? I bet it helped during the design phase :D
    We are doing an e36 race build with an m42b18 with some friends and just talked about 3D printing an airbox with shorter runners for high rpm when we stumbled upon your videos. What you achieved is pretty much our dream now :D Is there any way we can contact you and talk about your project? It would be huge for us both in experience and motivation! All the best with v4 until then, looking forward to seeing it!

    You need to install additional wideband o2 sensor for monitoring the afr while you full throttle.

      Yes! I ordered the stuff to build another harness so i can use the sensor and electronics from my M52.

    Sounds great. One day I will get itb on my m42

    I am looking for a similar solution to n42b20. Please keep us posted with your progress.

    lovely vid but please get some sort of a cam harness or mount for driving videos, very scary aiming and sending it at the same time

    Wow! I was thinking on doing this to my m42 with the same itbs and found this! Awesome work! Would you share your design?

    Hi, i want to build M42 turbo manifold, maybe can i buy your 3D file about the flange? Thanks.

    you have the model of the manifold?

    Amazing work. This might be a stretch but is there any way you could share with me / I could purchase the 3D design files from you? Working on a similar project for a Lemons race team and this would save a TON fo time prototyping!

    This is some seriously cool work. Good to see that you can print stuff that works so well in an engine bay
    What photogrammetry software do you use?

    • @_coffeeandcigars
      @_coffeeandcigars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the polyamide stuff is pretty similiar to what oems use. My m52s manifold is made from pa66-gf, so pa6 with fibers isnt hugely different. Its awesome that we have the technology to use these materisls at home =D
      The scan was done in meshroom.

    • @TheIamgibbo
      @TheIamgibbo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@_coffeeandcigars that's awesome. It's pretty impressive how technology means you can now design and print this stuff at home vs needing to have it cast elsewhere
      Do you have an engineering background or is it just a hobby?

    I used the same throttles on a m40 in an e30, I opened up there spacing though and used the injector holes in the throttles as it's more favorable to run the injector away from head, I made the intake from alloy , your plenum volume is too small you need more volume and also not to aim the entry at any ports, definitely a cool project with the 3d printed parts , once you go stand alone computer your going to notice lots more power and drivability,
