Good old Paul has been around for years, reminds me of Paul Jones (ex Manfred Mann), always around keeping busy. There's not a decade in my existence that I've not seen him in something, TV Sitcoms and Dramas, Films like Tommy and The Jazz Singer (Neil Diamond), his Disco era in the 70s (Dancing with The Captain is worth a remix!) and recently celeb reality shows.
Never heard this in Holland in the days. Sounds very like that time. Nice to hear something you can relate to immediately. and then of course the Cat's remix. Always the prime. Thanks.

Sounds like there is software that attempts to remove the vocals. It has improved from what I had a decade ago when I was working on my remix list. Good job! Fun trivia: producer Chris Neil also did Sheen Easton's first three albums and Celine Dion's first English stuff.

This one- "Heaven On The 7th Floor", Alan O'Day's "Undercover Angel", and especially Jigsaw's "Sky High"- that song came out in 1975, but kept re-entering the charts all the way into 1979 as it grew popular all over the world ending up as a 12" disco single by end of 1979. The marriage of disco & pop produced a whole lot of disco babies.

The version I grew up with (in Canada) was by an outfit called The Mighty Pope. It was also released in 1977, a few months after the Paul Nicholas version. Again, they sound very different - this version has the really pronounced disco beat. The other is much closer to soul/pop. It’s on TH-cam if you want to compare.
