As a non-native English speaker, somebody ones told me: the person who speaks your language with accent is fluent at least at one extra language. And this is so true! Hi Alice, I'm an older follower (74) but enjoy your content, enthusiasm and style...it's timeless and appropriate for whatever your age. As for the negative comments, remember these people have nothing going for themselves and somehow feel better when they think they can bring someone else down. I've been to Paris many times and have always admired French women. I had a retail home decor store and carried many French products and Europeon inspired decor pieces. Occasionally I would get a completely unwarranted bad review on Yelp that had no baring in truth, however, I carried that negativity with me for days. It's not healthy and does bring you down. I'm sorry you've had this experience but happy to see you have rebounded and will be stronger for it. Looking forward to what you bring your audience in 2025.

I'm sorry that this happened to you, you had to go through a nightmare. I've been following you since [the beginning and I know that you must have put a lot of work into its development, because I was shocked at how quickly you managed to grow! I.think it's good for you that you're considering changes to your channel. What actually took me here was your first videos, which were really different from the content that flooded TH-cam and other social media like: how to be a real Parisian. You talked about the history of French perfume houses, fashion houses and social culture, which are an inseparable heritage that must be understood and known to know what it really means to dress and behave like a French woman. It's just less interesting (also but much less) to me personally to talk about how to match shoes with a bag like a French woman, there is so much history and social and cultural social phenomena and habits and so much to tell and learn. You have this knowledge and this opportunity to talk about French and Parisian style in a completely different way than other influencers! to talk about yourself and this being built for decades and even centuries French style and Je ne sais pas quoi chic. I would like to see more videos on this sub-area. About the accent, don't worry ( I myself can't spell the r the French way, for instance). Great quality content and I come back to the perfumes- I could clearly see you don't just present hyped products (perfumes) and you took the time for the classics (you're guilty as charged for my Jean Patou perfume purchases in my collection- 6 of the Heritage plus Joy, 1000, Sublime, Paname- you can still get it in Romania by the way, Patou Forever, Sira des Indes, no regrets). Also, great to see that in the 2020s somebody still appreciates Anais Anais and also Boucheron ( I have and love Jaipur 1994 EDT + the EDT/EDP Homme+ I like Jaipur Bracelet and Bouquet- don't get me started that I want also Trouble). This could have happened to anyone, and I am just happy you are back in the saddle again, so to speak! Also, to anyone who gets a notification from a channel you don't recognize, report it to TH-cam right away; it will help to get the fake content taken down; I knew right away a channel from someone I follow had been hijacked, because I don't follow content like that. As someone who speaks two languages, (my second language was learnt as an adult), if anybody criticises you accent, then they should ask themselves if they can speak more than one language, and if they can, do they have a noticeable accent in their second language? Yes, you have an French accent when you speak English, but I always understand 100% what you're saying! And I totally agree, with zero tolerance about negativity. Constructive criticism is okay to a point, but negativity isn't.
I,m so sorry you had this awful experience! I want to tell you a couple of things, firstly, one of the biggest reasons I watch your channel is because I LOVE your accent. I am a total francophone ever since a visit to Paris 20 years ago and the sound of your voice takes me back to my favorite city. Secondly, I’m a 70 year old woman for whom some of your fashion suggestions are out of reach. But I learned a lot about dressing as an older woman and have revamped my wardrobe as a result of your suggestions and was recently told by another woman that I always look so elegant and put together. Finally, I’m now using rosewater on my skin exclusively! Merci beaucoup for everything you do and take care!

I would have no idea how to contact eitherTH-cam or Google because both try to keep that information hidden so the fact that you were able to get through is amazing in and of itself...and then to have them actually help you instead of giving pre-fabricated replies such as "go read this FAQ page" is an added amazing thing! And your accent is fine with me. I only have trouble when you totally mispronounce a word and I have to reverse the video and listen carefully to figure out what the word is....and then I wonder what the French people think (I live in Canada and we have Quebec) when I completely mess up on a French word 🙂

I've been following you since [the beginning and I know that you must have put a lot of work into its development, because I was shocked at how quickly you managed to grow!
I.think it's good for you that you're considering changes to your channel. What actually took me here was your first videos, which were really different from the content that flooded TH-cam and other social media like: how to be a real Parisian. You talked about the history of French perfume houses, fashion houses and social culture, which are an inseparable heritage that must be understood and known to know what it really means to dress and behave like a French woman. It's just less interesting (also but much less) to me personally to talk about how to match shoes with a bag like a French woman, there is so much history and social and cultural social phenomena and habits and so much to tell and learn. You have this knowledge and this opportunity to talk about French and Parisian style in a completely different way than other influencers! to talk about yourself and this being built for decades and even centuries French style and Je ne sais pas quoi chic. Great quality content and I come back to the perfumes- I could clearly see you don't just present hyped products (perfumes) and you took the time for the classics (you're guilty as charged for my Jean Patou perfume purchases in my collection- 6 of the Heritage plus Joy, 1000, Sublime, Paname- you can still get it in Romania by the way, Patou Forever, Sira des Indes, no regrets). I am sharing your video with some friends who have TH-cam channels because it is an important cautionary tale for everyone to remember to not trust too easily on TH-cam and especially to not install software sent by strangers. This could have happened to anyone, and I am just happy you are back in the saddle again, so to speak! Also, to anyone who gets a notification from a channel you don't recognize, report it to TH-cam right away; it will help to get the fake content taken down; I knew right away a channel from someone I follow had been hijacked, because I don't follow content like that.
Just ignore the negativity, and what do people expect? Of course you have a French accent! I didn't even realize anyone would complain about such a thing. 🤷🏻♂

As someone who speaks two languages, (my second language was learnt as an adult), if anybody criticises you accent, then they should ask themselves if they can speak more than one language, and if they can, do they have a noticeable accent in their second language? Yes, you have an French accent when you speak English, but I always understand 100% what you're saying!
And I totally agree, with zero tolerance about negativity. Constructive criticism is okay to a point, but negativity isn't.
I,m so sorry you had this awful experience! I want to tell you a couple of things, firstly, one of the biggest reasons I watch your channel is because I LOVE your accent. I am a total francophone ever since a visit to Paris 20 years ago and the sound of your voice takes me back to my favorite city. Secondly, I’m a 70 year old woman for whom some of your fashion suggestions are out of reach. But I learned a lot about dressing as an older woman and have revamped my wardrobe as a result of your suggestions and was recently told by another woman that I always look so elegant and put together. Finally, I’m now using rosewater on my skin exclusively! Merci beaucoup for everything you do and take care!

So happy that you solved the problems and are "back in business". I would have no idea how to contact eitherTH-cam or Google because both try to keep that information hidden so the fact that you were able to get through is amazing in and of itself...and then to have them actually help you instead of giving pre-fabricated replies such as "go read this FAQ page" is an added amazing thing!
And your accent is fine with me. I only have trouble when you totally mispronounce a word and I have to reverse the video and listen carefully to figure out what the word is....and then I wonder what the French people think (I live in Canada and we have Quebec) when I completely mess up on a French word 🙂
