    This couldn't be better timing.i just got a 12 pathfinder v6.
    Your videos are great!
    I am somewhat mechanically inclined and these help quite a bit.
    I hope you will continue to post what you do as i am following along on my own pathfinder.
    Great job!!

      Thanks for the feedback. Yes I have a few more videos to do on the Pathfinder. I've taken a bit of a break and switched to house repair stuff since I just moved into what can only be described as a fixer-upper that needs some immediate work done on it.

    • @DIYNorth
      @DIYNorth  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I'm not too familiar with all of the options for getting the P101 but it seems like it can be a bit of a host of issues and sensor communication problems,

    After you clean or replace the sensor, do you have to drive it or will the check engine light be off automatically as soon as you start it?

    • @DIYNorth
      @DIYNorth  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might need to clear the codes for it to really disappear.
      I'm not sure if driving would be enough

    Nice infro but I clean mine on light come back ofter a week even change it on it still come back was told I have to buy it from the Nissan dealer any help please.

    • @DIYNorth
      @DIYNorth  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not really sure. It might be better to get a Nissan sensor. I'm not sure how much they are but if they are a lot you could try a scrap yard. Is there any other issues along the path of airflow that might be causing an issue.

      The "Nissan" sensors are just Hitachi. Buy it yourself and change it.

      I was having a similar problem and it turned out I had to go to the Nissan dealer for a software reprogramming. 300 bucks. 😕

    • @DIYNorth

      The brand was CRC, the product was "mass airflow sensor cleaner"

    Great video , I tried it but didn’t solve my issue . my pathfinder only has a rough idle in warm days ( I’m guessing when choke comes off ) have you come across anything to fix my issue ? No hesitation when driving

      Is your check engine light on, and if so do you have a code that it is giving?

      I had this similar issue back in May and it turned out I had to go to the Nissan dealer for a software reprogramming. 300 bucks.

    Could you use panel wipe? I'm in the UK

    • @DIYNorth
      @DIYNorth  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what that is (is that like a white board cleaner), but the MAF cleaner is a specific type of electronics cleaner that doesn't leave a residue when it dries. You don't want to any sort of film on the sensors. They must have MAF cleaner in the UK, perhaps a different brand.

    My check engine light still on. Sometimes the rest happens after I drive it. That common?

    • @DIYNorth
      @DIYNorth  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't sound common. Have you plugged in an OBD II code reader to see what check engine code is displayed.

    • @55powerz
      @55powerz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Before the cleaning. The code was for the MAF sensor. I'll have to head back to AutoZone to see if there's a new code.

    • @55powerz
      @55powerz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oddly enough it drives better even with the light on. The lag in acceleration was fixed agree the cleaning

    • @DIYNorth
      @DIYNorth  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. A few things could cause the MAF code to be thrown. It could be that the sensor is faulty.

    • @55powerz
      @55powerz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DIYNorth that would suck. I just changed it with an OEM from nissan less that a year ago. Read online that it may take a few driving trips to reset the light. Here's hoping!
