I was in band for all of high school, and I legitimately think this piece was my favorite. It’s actually the only one I can distinctly remember my band director asking people what they felt or imagined while playing it. There were a lot of different responses, but I always imagined some kind of dramatic movie climax where the hero has to sacrifice themself to save the world, and is reflecting on all that they’ve done in their life, finally making peace with their fate in the very end
I could picture just like for some reason going to the bathroom and walking back to a class and you just hear this reverbrate throughout the school hallways, and it's the end of the year.

I played this Euph solo my sophomore year of high school. I love listening to this song and the added vibrato to the solo is phenomenal.
