    Great review. One of the best videos I have watched on the subject. Great job!

    By far the most underated adventure SUV in SA. I bought it and it is a very satisfying experience every time I drive it.

    Good review mate, I predominantly SAND 4WDrive on the islands off Brisbane Australia (Moreton, Nth Srradbroke & Fraser Islands) looking for a something reliable in dry soft sand yet comfortable both on it or off it for City driving. Think I found my replacement for my aging R50 2000 Pathfinder

    I love how it looks, it’s my current favourite over the Fortuner and the Everest.

    This car has the best 4x4 system in its class, very quite ride at cruising speed on the freeway and fuel efficiency is up there with the best in class considering the size of the vehicle. I like that the 4x4 mode can be selected even on sealed surfaces. This car is simple with no unnecessary technology because it is built to last. The suspension is soft tuned for more comfort than handling which is ok considering this car is not a Ferrari. Surprisingly the pajero sport excellent 8 speed auto box is sourced from Toyota owned Aisin, sharing it with the Lexus LX570 and Land Cruiser 5.7L, which are a class above the fortuner. Concerning value for money in the class, theres no better vehicle than the Pajero-Sport. The car has some minor shortcomings though as it could do with a physical volume knob, a more softer steering, standard 360 degree view camera across the range and a push button rear seat folding mechanism. Anyone looking to buy a rugged ladder frame suv should atleast test drive the Pajero-Sport.

    Mitsubishi know how to build off-roaders. More so than most well known competitors. In the Aussie tests the Triton and Pajero Sport are always favourites. That 2.4 8 speed is excellent and they should have used it in the Triton as well.

    • @SA4x4online
      @SA4x4online  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We certainly agree @Sean. yes, having a 2.8 engine (as some competitors do) would give you more torque and power, but with the 2.4L 8 speed gearbox from Mitsubishi is more than sufficient for overlanding excursions into the bush. Plus, its a comfortable and more fuel efficient drive in too. if you have any pictures of of your Mitsubishi getting down and muddy, please do share them with us on our Facebook page or website. We are certain our community of Mitsubishi followers would appreciate that!

    Looks nice with a sunroof
    I don't think Australia has that option.

      Agreed! We love the sunroof! Once we had a pack of monkeys sitting on the top of the vehicle. it was phenomenal!

    I'm really curious about this one. Gonna test drive soon. In such a saturated market segment, I think it's great to have a product that visually stands out

    • @SA4x4online
      @SA4x4online  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Khanyo! Yeah, we can easily see why you feel that the market might be saturated. Others may assume consumers are spoiled for choice! Tell us what you think when you do get out and about for a test drive! We're eager to know! Will you be using the vehicle for a daily town run around? or would you like to use it more - come holiday time?

    • @KhanyoMjamba
      @KhanyoMjamba 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SA4x4online Saturated in the sense that there's a lot of product available to the customers but, yes, it's more spoilt for choice. It's hard to get a car that stands out while offering real value. There are always big tradeoffs. eg. Haval & Subaru fuel economy sucks. Duster EDC transmission can be indecisive etc
      I went to the dealership on Saturday but they didn't have their demo. But the salesman did a good job and even offered me a boerewors roll.
      I'm thinking about school runs, trips to the rural areas and I'm trying to get into a some light overlanding and camping.

    • @SA4x4online

      @@KhanyoMjamba AHA! That makes complete sense! Now we see why you have chosen to view the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. In our opinion they are great value for money when compared to some of the other name brands in the market in the same vehicle class. its affordable and a great entry and expert level touring vehicle. Replacement parts don't cost an arm and a leg and vehicle maintenance is extremely easy. Plus there are loads of Mitsubishi dealerships across the country.
      Just remember one thing, Though it says 4x4 on the badge, it can quite easily handle gravel roads and easy trails ( grade 1 trails) -if you've had a bit of 4x4 training. However, if you're going to venture into trails and off-road routes that are grade 2-5 you will need aftermarket suspensions and tyres. That is true for any standard production vehicle in SA.
      The biggest pro for the Mitsubishi Pajero sport is bang for buck, and we like the aesthetics too.😀

      @KhanyoMjamba 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SA4x4online thanks for that. I also like this coz they hook you up with a 4x4 course.
      Grade 1 should be enough. I wanna keep it stock.

    My one issue with the Pajero sport is the height in the drivers seat which sits too high in the lowest setting. My wife has no issue with it but I find it a little strange. Other than that it is a beautiful vehicle.

    • @SA4x4online
      @SA4x4online  ปีที่แล้ว

      WOW Will! We have to ask how tall are you? Jacques our presenter is well over 6 foot and yes, the headroom is a little tight for him. Though we suspect that irritation would encompass most standard production vehicles. it must be a real nightmare for you when you enter bakkies! as generally these are limited headroom only.

      @@SA4x4online 5’11 with long torso I guess may be the issue. I had the normal Pajero and sat in the vehicle as opposed to the sensation of sitting on it! I owned a Navarra with no such issues.

      @@Will-nb8qk Thanks Will. We are due to get the new Navara next year so will certainly test this out for the rest of our followers. One humorous comment we can make is that the PS ( Pajero Sport) does have a fully retractable sun roof - for those that are taller than 6.2 🤣🤣🤣

      hehe, thanks Izzy. Yes we did try. persistently.
      After ALOT of technical support and trouble shooting we discovered that the emulation between the PlayStation and the screen size/pixel count was too low for the multimedia to handle. Which is why we got a blank screen. Either way - Grand Tourismo in real life is alot better than playing it on a 10 inch screen ;)
