Giving up endless stress, anxiety, and the rat race is in fact a no-brainer.

I started visiting a kadampa centre recently, and i hope to attend more and delve deeper into the beauty and peace of buddhism. I'd love to take a similar path to this :-) As a woman, I am curious if ordination would work differently though.

It depends what sect you want to ordain in. Zen and Tibetan Buddhism are the most female-friendly from what I know. The speaker here is a Tibetan Buddhist.

Hi there, why don’t you have a chat with the teacher at the centre you’re attending? In general it’s best to take your time and consider this carefully as ideally your ordination will last a lifetime - so not something to be rushed. In the Kadampa tradition we make no discrimination at all between and male and female. Ordained nuns and monks are treated exactly the same.

@@KadampaLeeds Of course, I wouldn't rush and it's something i would consider in 5-10 years time. Thank you for the response.
I will be attending a Thai buddhist temple closer to me to learn more and I'm looking forward to it.
