- In this video I'll be sharing why I think the iPhone 15 pro would be my choice of upgrade from the 13 Mini. I have loved the mini and continue to do so but if we don't get an iteration in this coming year. This is the video I was waiting to watch! I just upgraded to a 15 Pro from a 12 Mini and I could not believe how much I needed this upgrade. I cannot emphasize enough how much I loved my 12 Mini, but that small battery was rough. The 15 Pro is a powerhouse as I’m confident this phone will last me a while!
@crophoppervk328 - Definitely a great upgrade for sure and yes it will last you many years to come for sure. The minis are great but they’re sadly going away and at some point if I have to upgrade it will be a pro device for sure as well.

Meh, absolutely dont need any of the improvements and anything bigger than the mini is a no go for me. The mini is just the absolute perfect size phone and honestly shouldn’t even be called a mini phone. Using the 13 mini until they make a new mini…its a collectors item at this point lol.
@JustinBallard1117 - I totally agree and that’s exactly why I can’t let go of my mini. However I did this video thinking that it’s pretty inevitable that us mini users will be pushed into a corner at some point. The new iPhone SE 4 is getting bigger which doesn’t show me a light at the end of the tunnel for this device. So ultimately when this dies and there is no option, this will be the only way to go.
13 mini is probably the best iPhone ever made and certainly the best phone I ever used but sadly my old eyes needed a bigger screen

Great video! All of your comparisons are on point. I also have upgraded from my 12 mini to my 15 pro. I still love the 12-13 mini form factor.
@johnlee8514 - Same here and that’s why I can’t let it go 😂. I do feel that us mini users will be cornered at some point as all smaller devices are getting larger and if that happens this will be the next best option.
I had a 13 mini and I loved, I also upgraded to the 15 pro and I love it as well, apparently next year the phones are getting even bigger…I’ll be keeping my 15 pro for a while. The 5.8” and 6.1” screen sizes are my fav! Great video!

I do appreciate seeing this video as I took delivery yesterday of a 15 Pro, I was missing the easier to use macro for close ups pitctures which was not as easy for me to duplicate on the 13 Mini so added the 15 Pro because of the smaller size, I had an 11 Pro Max and I accepted the size and weight in the beginning but after two years it was becoming a tank and then switched to the 13 Mini which is still my daily driver, the 15Pro will not be replacing my 13 Mini as my daily just happy to have both in my stable, wish it still had a sim card tray though, I am old school. but enjoy the size and weight with the titanium frame
@SSI1911 - That’s awesome and I agree with you I still will continue to use the mini as it’s the form factor that I absolutely love. If I did have to upgrade the standard pro model is the most suitable. We really don’t have much of an option as even the se 4 is rumored to get bigger which I had hoped would be the mini successor. For now I’m continuing to use the mini and let’s see what happens later this year.
I just received my 15 pro…I’ve used a 13 mini since it came out and liked it alot. I had hesitated on upgrading because I was concerned about the size and weight, but so far the 15 pro size and weight seem fine. Battery is definitely better! I haven’t had time to really investigate the camera.
@dbsantanapr - That’s awesome and I agree the size and weight is not a bad adjustment. Unfortunately smaller devices are disappearing and so eventually if I have to upgrade the standard pro device will be the go to for me. The camera on the 15 pro is awesome, definitely look into shooting videos in pro res as it’s an awesome capability to have. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.

I'm currently using the 14 Pro Max.One of the rumors for the 16 series is the 16 Pro going to 6.3. I remember the 11 Pro Max being 6.5 which was plenty big. I think the 6.3 would be a sweet spot for me. My cousin has the 15 Pro and it's a pretty sweet phone. I like the slight curve better than the edges mine has. I use a case so that makes it a bit more comfortable. I played around with the 13 mini and it's nice. Just a bit too small.
@billiamnotbob - Yeah I don’t know why they’re going to even make the standard pro bigger I believe this size is still comfortable to use. The mini has been my favorite since it launched but sadly the new se4 will also be getting bigger and if that’s the case then I’d much rather just have the standard 15 pro.
@@QasimZafar I liked the mini but it came to late due to my age! LOL My cousin has the 15 Pro. It's really nice. and the screen size, for me, is just about right. The biggest issues with the mini to me is that Apple didn't really push it. It still sold well, just not to Apple's standards. I would have liked to see it with 6g ram though.
@billiamnotbob Yeah Apple definitely didn’t market it well at all which definitely contributed to it failing. People associate the name mini with making compromises so most people don’t really understand the device. It’s been a great one though and I hope it can find a way to survive but that’s looking unlikely. The 15 pro is a great device and definitely my go to upgrade when I do so.
I brought a second iPhone 13 Mini for both me and my partner as a backup in case our current iPhone 13 Mini ever have an accident or die. If I need a larger screen I just use the iPad Mini 6. I simply want a small phone. The only reason I will upgrade is for a usb-c connection but I am happy to wait until Apple go back to making a small phone. Which could be a while. I brought the backups in 2022, yet to need to use them. It could be 2025 when they needed and well, they should still receive security updates. I used iPhone 11 and I just refuse to buy a large phone in my front pocket. Here hoping Apple come up with a small device to replace the iPhone 13 Mini.
@anthonysimpson6738 - Sounds like a good game plan! I also use the iPad mini 6 for when I need a larger screen, I enjoy it a lot and it’s with me everyday. Everything’s pointing to a smaller phone not happening but I guess at some point it might be a possibility.

Im going from 13 mini to 16 pro..i will miss the small size but the battery is garbage

@roa5359 - I try to keep the amount of time I’m looking at screens to a minimum. The mini has helped me bring this time down. Most of the time our screen time is doing stuff that’s useless anyway I’ve noticed the more I’ve begun to use my phone with a purpose the less screen time I get which is great.
Nice video I have the basic 15 and I love it and no fingerprints on the sides , I had the 13pro and I didn’t use the cameras like a pro so I decided to up grade to the 15 in blue 😎

@michaelferguson364 - Yeah that’s what I love about the mini is the size. Unfortunately the new se4 will also be getting larger so eventually if that’s the case then I will have to upgrade to a standard pro as it’s the next size up I can handle.

I have the 15 pro 256gb,Bought last nov. I love the phone and the size. I once used a 12 mini for 2 weeks before I sold it off because I felt the battery life and apps were not very well optimised. But for some reason I’ve got this weird want of a 13 mini rn 🥲 is it smart to sell the 15 pro and get a mini instead? Just asking as I’ve been seeing videos and really kinda like the size not sure how bad of a ‘downgrade’ it might feel ? Any thoughts. Weird i know but I’d like opinions.
Not sure if you've already made your decision or not, but I thought I'd give my two cents. I also had an iPhone 15 Pro, and I really liked it, but ended up trading it in for an iPhone 15 Pro Max, precisely because of the big screen (which I'd eventually learn I hate lol). Turns out they barely take advantage of that huge screen. I then traded it in for an S24 Ultra, thinking maybe if I got a phone that made more use of it's big screen, I'd like it. I didn't like it, it was extremely uncomfortable to hold and I saw myself using my phone way more than I wanted or needed, maybe because the big screen is very appealing to use for basically everything, and maybe cause I wanted to get my money's worth on the (very expensive) phone I had just bought. Eventually, I found out about the iPhone 13 Mini, which was not only a lot cheaper than my s24 Ultra, it was also extremely pleasing to hold and use, so I sold my s24 and got a 13 Mini instead. It's hands down the best phone I've ever had. Initially I missed the 120hz screen, but iOS animations are so smooth anyway that I barely notice it most of the time. Battery life is more than enough for me, but that's because I can finally use my phone as a tool and not an endless distraction device, so I average around 2 hours a day with a lot of battery left. All in all I'd say, if you are someone that actually benefits from the latest and greatest of tech, and use it to it's full potential, or if you're someone whose main device is a phone (as opposed to it being complimentary to a tablet or computer), I'd say definitely get one of the newer ones with the bigger screens. If you're someone that wants your phone to be just a simple tool to make calls, send messages, listen to music and occasionally do some web browsing, this is the phone for you. I personally have zero regrets and like my 13 Mini a whole lot more than any of the phones I've used before, including the 15 Pro.
