I had a heart attack when I went on this ride because I really thought I was gonna be spun upside down, but even just the fact that we were moved pretty high up gave me a heart attack. Overall a pretty fun ride tho

The concept of a Vekoma Madhouse is so basic, yet so complicated!! A very fun ride indeed.

It's an old ride concept, but with a twist. The original ride only rotated the building, with the seats remaining stationary. The geniuses at Vekoma ( SPOILER ALERT!!)...
...added motion to the seats as well. This is definitely one of GA's best investments!

I was severely motion sick after riding that. That ride was so vomit inducing
This ride holds a special place in my heart, I was a ride operator on in back in 2016

The ride itself doesn't even go that high, the surroundings move in a way to make you believe you are much higher than you are, it's a magician ride in honor off Houdini he was a great illusionist of his time, the best. so naturally adding in the screwy mind games was definitely what gives this ride an edge
Your mind is playing tricks on you .. It' messed with your state of equilibrium and balance especially since it moves so slow at first and doesn't tell you when it starts to move . I couldn't tell if I was upside down or the background. I was looking at was . A mind trip, a great illusion,cool ride. Next time I will really try to be in a more readily hypnotics state and see what that does, all in the name of fun kids.
I remember getting on this ride when I was a child and I was SO scared I cried the entire time. Now looking at it.. I’m embarrassed that I cried haha
I went on it on a field trip in 6th grade and I was bawling, a chaperone had to hold me, but it was fun

ugh I know i went on it and was so sick afterwards but I went on it again, the first time I went on it the metal bars locked over my thigh so before they started the ride they had to redo the bars on everyone’s lap, and my phone almost fell which was completely my fault bc ur not supposed to have ur phone on the ride
Coaster Chaos basically the Most tilted you get is 90 degrees and the house moves with you

i remember i went in on a school trip, i thought i would be a haunted house type thing, I NEVER expected it was a ride but honestly i was my favorite ride i went on
This ride is one of the best rides to work, either as operator or attendant. Back when i was working there we actually used an old line divider to slam onto the ground when they say he died to scare people. I miss working it so much. If i ever went back i would request to be trained here. It was so much fun i remember all the lines of the preshow

They did that with the Dark Knight too when the Joker hijacks the press conference.
My favorite part of this ride is when the seats start moving so slowly that you don’t realize it’s moving at first. Also the only thing that comforts me in reminding me a are not actually upside down is that the bar that comes down does very little and if it did actually go upside down it would not hold you.

This is low-key my favorite ride
I went on this ride when I was really little, feels like a fever dream seeing it again. The spinning room terrified me and I'm pretty sure would still mess with my brain today.

I tricked my dad into getting onto this ride he said no spinning rides or anything that would make him nauseous and I got him on this exact ride he did NOT like it at all lmfao he screamd the whole time and swore shit was fucking hilarious I wish he was still here I wish I could go on it one more time with him
Houdini actually hated mediums and spiritualism and around the time he died he was trying to prove they were fake

The optical illusion on this ride is that you’re rocking in the room while the room spins upside down spinning. That’s why the doors are sliding doors
This is why Six Flags needs to theme there park because this is the only ride that feels alive in this park...

The room spins 360 but you only rock back and forth slowly to give you the effects.

I went to six flags with my family and I went on this ride.. AND WHEN I TELL U I WAS ABT TO START CRYING..and yea when I went home I was to scared to go to sleep..it wasn’t even a illusion,, the ride was literally upside down and my seat was like wiggly so I thought I was about to fall off.. I want to go on it again but then again I don’t..
I rode this back in 2000 when I was 13. Freaked me out a bit but it's a fun ride nevertheless
Went on this ride a whole lot when I was really young, I the room being far larger , but that’s par for the course for growing up.
One of the oddest childhood memomories. I went on this with 3 of my family members and the room was empty until the room started to move. Thats when some really creepy grinning man appeared next to us and said, "hold on tight". He dissapeared once we stopped, but till this day im like WTF

@@robloxgirl1771 That's what I thought. Went on it yesterday and was mind blown asf. Then I had to think. My necklace didn't flip "upside" down either. Then I looked up at the ceiling & it was no track or anything. Still, very fun.

Last time i went on this ride i was in like 2nd grade and in the dark room all i remeber me doing was crying my ass off cause i used to be scared of the dark
the first time i went on this ride was my 17th birthday a few days ago. my boyfriend told me it was a mind fuck and i didn't believe him until we were "upside down" and i just started screeching

Your not actually going up side down it’s the walls moving. I asked one of the workers. Also to prove it if you look at the lamp the fringes at the botton become upside down when you think that your up side down. I hate this ride it’s so boring but that’s because I like intense rides and this is just my opinion.
Katie F The sides are also going up and down on the ride both the walls and the sides where everyone sits are moving it doesn’t go all the way, it moves up about half way of the room but the sides where you sit do move up and down

Funny story 😂 I just got back and there was a group of teenagers in there near me and my god mom and when the cage in the back shakes I screamed and instead of the cage scaring the teens my scream did 🤣

It’s not! It’s an optic illusion. All that is moving is the benches and the walls to trick your brain that you are going on the walls and the ceiling it’s very cool but scared me because I’m a puppy lol

Video is so dark and camera focus poor, audio is worse. It's a shame this video is so poorly done, because it sounds like the in-person experience is quite good.
I can imagine it would be very difficult to film this venture, but it was really hard trying to watch this video and I finally gave up even tho I sampled a few mins here and there throughout.

The way I found your video was I was doing a search for the cartoon by artist Kliban titled 'Houdini Escaping Jersey' - I think Houdini himself would get a kick out of that depiction... And I can laugh at Jersey jokes cuz I'm from Jersey 😉

Cheyenne Cope you have a bar like a roller coaster. And no, it doesn’t go upside down, it’s just an illusion. You just swing back and forth and the outside wall is the one that is flipping upside down
They have tight lap bars and it only gives you the illusion that your going upside down when really your not.
