Thank you for this video! I enjoyed seeing the Hallicrafters set at 1:18-I used my grandfathers' SX117 / HT44 set for many years-it sadly had to go when we downsized-I really enjoyed the camaraderie with your friends!

Wow there were tons of wood cabinet and plastic case tube radios there. Really impressed by that. Maybe next year.

Terry, I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Thanks for sharing it with us.
I am beyond broke and if I had been there I am certain that I would have pulled out the ol' card and gotten into even more trouble than I am in now.
I need about 5 variable capacitors that are somewhat "unobtainium" now. The description of what the variable capacitors are is as follows:
Tuning Capacitor is a 4 section, 14pF to 331 pF variable each section, 9 Stator 10 Rotor plates each section, Army Stock Number/Navy Type Number/British Reference Number 3D9016V-2. The most interesting feature of this particular tuning capacitor is that it contains a variable 3500 Ω, +/- 10%, 1/10 Watt, metalized carbon resistor attached to the shaft that tunes the capacitor, and it varies from lowest resistance to highest resistance with frequency. In other words, Low frequency = Lowest Resistance, Highest Frequency = Highest resistance.
Tell Marsha hi and that we wish her the very best of everything!

I’m casting no stones here but as this video began after another I had playing, I was listening in another room. Crazy! The one thing that jumped out at me was the guy that walked up appreciating the videos and sharing that his brother had passed away and all his old gear was tabled across the room. What I failed to hear was “Oh my, sorry for the loss of your brother”. Too busy being “a celebrity” or whatever. Just left a sour experience as a first time viewer of this “channel”. That’s all.

What model was that "boat anchor" Hallicrafters? Id like to find one myself.

See, with the way this works sometimes, if you go to a venue like this without any money, you'll find stuff to buy. If you bring money, you might not (lol).

Lots of nice looking stuff there, but I'm not nuanced enough for HAM radio. I can barely operate my Sony ICF-P26 multi band receiver!
