Incredible. Why on earth would God invest the whole timeline of the Old Testament with the insistence that we should NOT worship anything but Him? If we could get to Him by sacrificing babies to Baal, or mummifying cats or burying ourselves in ornately carved tombs with everything we need for the afterlife - why on earth would He send His only Son to suffer so awfully for us?
The Egyptians sure had a weird understanding of the afterlife. They also pulled the brain out through the nose during their mummification preparation process.

They are against the Pope no matter what he says -- this is the work of the Evil. Satan is a good theologian and biblical scholar.

You notice that the audience of Pope Francis is onboard with his declaration of heresy. Think of people who may have been considering converting to Christianity, or Protestants considering converting to Catholicism. Why should they? This is truly horrible.

The Church is still the one instituted by Christ and He is in control. Trust, have faith, pray, do penance for the Church and the clergy who need it and for the radical conversion of Pope Francis and the woke hierachy not all are woke - judgment day will it be good if they don't.
It’s becoming more and more difficult to bring the truth to anyone, when the truth is skewed; right from the top. I have a friend who converted, purely because she recognised there is no one source of authority in any Protestant sect. The only person I’ve ever spoken with who converted for this reason, alone. I have another friend who is struggling to convert for witnessing the absolute collapse of authority in our Church. Sobering thoughts, and especially when hearing this latest debacle.
Encourage your friend on the journey. The Church has the fullness of faith as handed down by Jesus Himself. He said the gates if hell shall not prevail. No matter what the Pope is doing God is in control. Our faith and trust in the Lord is being tested. We need to pray, fast and do penance for the Pope and all bishops and clergy as they will be held more accountable before God one day. The world is a mess because humanity has lived as if we do not need God, we have all contributed. Keep close to Our Lord and His teachings not to thise in authority thst are preaching a Gospel contrary to Christ.

I was born in Lahore when it was in India. I have always prayed for the land of of my birth.

How about baptism of desire ? The trinity is easy to explain --- a family --- three fingers, one hand --- but i am chair-bound and find it hard even to pray one hour ---- without getting to Mass at all any more.

Related to Pope Francis shocking statement, it reminds me of some meditation prayers where I considered what the Church would like if St. Paul was Chinese, Indian, etc. If those States had empires that were similar to the Roman Empire when converted, and so an effective way to spread throughout the world.
Clearly the general form of the TLMass would be basically the Masses created in all those different regions/empire.
It was an interested tangent meditation subject, and to be done well I would have had to know more of those societies.

Live a good life in love and service to others and you are living a life that would be pleasing to God. Why would that not be a path to God irrespective of religious affiliation? That's a bit harsh. I agree with what you say but there are people who genuinely cannot face the notion that their pontifif could lead them astray. Sin against indigenous populations. That must mean the sins of criminal -- because illegal -- immigrants to Britain, for example. I don't think he's going to encourage his imam buddies to tell their muslim flock to stop sinning against indigenous people.

The persistent calls for patience, tolerance, understanding, face-to-face dialogue and reconciliation are more important than ever given today’s spiralling polarisation and the dangerous anonymity provided by social media.
