Sometimes I feel like you are speaking to me Father Mike, your homilies hit home every time. I had to go to mass overseas and listen to a language I don't even speak . I followed along with structure to receive the Eucharist, a mass with so much energy and singing like I have never experienced before,. Even though I didn't speak the language, the energy was enough, and your Homily connected that experience today. Thank You.

Just a word of caution, depression comes from so many areas but maybe encouragement to see it's about God's love for them more than what they can do for Him. It's ok to hurt and even to feel overwhelmed by it, mother theresa experienced depression. It can be good to just be ok to be held in His arms

When I am doing something creative artistically for spiritual enrichment as an offering to others, I am not doing it for admiration. And when the ambitious task or project takes a long time or involves difficulty I need encouragement. I don't need admiration, I need to know that others identify and see the value of the effort and can encourage it's completion. I believe that artwork is most often done to share, not possess. When the Holy Spirit inspires a creative artistic project that others will see, I feel so driven to manifest those images and thoughts, that I can't not do it! It becomes a prayer. And sometimes it is good to pray together, being encouraged to continue.

If u go hiking or walk at a trail u follow a path right. It doesn’t directly take u home - place of residence but it paves a way to eventually head up home. U go around trail or complete it but it leads u to ur car, bike or a route heading home.
Our Pope said path NOT other way. Jesus is the way truth life - our means to make it Home. Pope is saying & reminding us maybe that good works, even if atheists or non Christian, leads to a possibility of Home. But u see, Jesus is the key - IF HE SEES U FIT - Christian or not - IT IS HIS CALL TO GRANT ANYONE HOME.
If u are true Christian - pray for the Pope - quit misinterpreting the bible. Better yet seek proper guidance. I say a priest like Fr Mike.
The Pope is helping us see clearly ONLY IF we open the eyes of our souls & listen clearly w our hearts.
