I think the bird was just asking for love and attention. It thinks when you ask it to come out it is your way of saying you want their attention and love. And they do their best for you. They just wanted you to maybe play the games (training) that you always do when you take them out, because that's how they share love with you.
They are such sweet joyous little beings 😊 God is good and loves all of his children completely 🤗🫂

Sometimes but not often. We have unscented baby wipes to clean it up straight away 😊

@blkmagicwmn4461 yes he goes to his cage easily for bed time. Or goes in himself if he wants a drink or a rest through the day.
