My house is an aviary

1 Galah, 2 cockatiels, 2 budgies, 1 Indian Ringneck. Chickens and a rooster. Parrot tips and play time. Featuring mostly the very smart Galah Mickey and his best friend Willow the cockatiel. All my birds are free to roam the house during the day with my supervision so it gets very hectic but always loads of fun and laughter

Yea unfortunately Mickey has picked up a swear word. We love him loads though and sometimes it does make mummy laugh because he always says it at the right times.
He is still as adorable as ever.

I have never done them this early before but wanted to show my granddaughter. She did the videography while I candled. Birds love to keep their feathers clean. It’s important for their flight to have clean feathers. Also their new feathers grow in a straw like keratin sheath so they preen to get the keratin off as the feather grows. All species of cockatoos get very dusty. Oh no 😮 does he pull them apart? One of my ringnecks does that but she wants to try get the wee bell ball out so we have to watch her carefully with it
@@myhouseisanaviary no he just throws them away aggressively and his feather puffs you know. He also hates the rubber duck. Basically all of his toys pisses him off 😅

It’s so awesome to watch them developing. We have to give away eggs to. It is great to gift them. Though we do also sell some eggs to others. We get soooo many 😂 you are very kind for giving them to neighbours ❤️
@myhouseisanaviary It's fun to share! We get about 2-3 dozen a week and eat one dozen a week... 😆 They're huge eggs too, brown shells... free range and organically fed... We also raise meat chickens 🐔 annually 😊

He is so smart
Gives me bad vibes seeing your doggo wandering around with the birds. Dogs are predators, and they can't help but obey their instincts. My brother's dog never gave any indication she might want to chase chickens or attack other animals, but when my conure got out of his cage she went straight for him. He didn't survive.
This doggy has been trained by me, a qualified dog behaviourist. She used to help find injured birds when she was younger. While I would agree with other pets and even our other dog is not allowed anywhere near our birds, this one has their best interest at heart always. Though I try not have her in videos because others then think it’s ok. Sometimes she sneaks past 😂
