Don't think the third is changed in the anime as well. They always explained sonido as the hollow version of the flash step. But what makes a sonido or a flash step superior is the ability of the person using it.

While a user's capability determines the speed of their movement, Sonido offers the additional ability of completely erasing one's presence from any kind of sight or presence detection. That's why Ulquiorra quips that Ichigo left his Pesquisa (the Hollow ability to "sense" reiatsu and the like). Ulquiorra was more baffled that a human used an ability specific to Hollows, of course, but the erasure of his presence is what proved Ichigo used a Sonido instead of a Flash Step.

But I'm sure someone like aizen would be able to trace vasto lorde ichigo even if he did a sonido.
I love how it's the simple desire to protect others, not anger, desperation, revenge, etc, just the simple desire to protect others that turns Ichigo into the single scariest thing in this entire series.
The ending of Ulquoirra's arc is a hollow learning not to be hollow - not to live for emptiness - what it truly means to have a 'heart', to find meaning in life.
Sonido is the Arrancar/Hollow equivalent to Flash Step, you can tell which is being used because it has more of a bass/boom noise while the flash step is more of a swish.
Also correct me if im wrong but sonido is different from flash step, it has been said many times that the presence disappears and appears when using sonido.

While conjecture, the reason that Orihime's abilities seem inconsistent is due to how they are being used. She can reject all forms of phenomena (fucking broken) but it is still intrinsically tied to her own level of power. When she brought back Melony, it was a person with fairly inconsequential spirit energy killed by the 6th Espada in his base form with a regular Cero (with barely any more effort behind it than simply repelling her own Cero back at her). She is now trying to bring back Ichigo, whose spirit energy and life force are on a separate planet from Melony's and the wound was inflicted by the 4th Espada in second resurrection with the Cero Oscuras. She doesn't have the power required to initiate that rejection.
Bleach abilities also rely on mental state, orihime in this instance is actively breaking down mental to the point of hyperventilation. Much like her dislike of hat causing her attacks to be week, she doesn’t think ichigo can be saved and so she’s unable to

White was already healing ichigo when orihime saved him the first time ulq killed him but after the second time whites instinct to live plus ichigos desire to save orihime plus plus ichigos low spirit level is why you didn't get lizard ichigo and more of his base quincy power was used and that's why he is HOS form esq
@@jonothanbryant9116 White was not healing Ichigo, Ichigo and White are the same character, Zangetsu was using Ichigo's own regeneration to heal Ichigo. The reason why we didn't get lizard Ichigo was because this was a partial visored-style resurreccion, while the lizard thing is just the mask summonig thing on steroids out of control. The reason why we got this quasi-resurreccion was because Ichigo was dead, so the only way Zangetsu had to save him was to resurrect him and one of the quirks of resurreccion is that it is capable of doing what it says on the name to a certain extent. By forcing Ichigo into a quasy resurreccion, Ichigo survived but because it was a forced release without words done by the zanpakuto side with the user in a weird state, the form did go berserker only instincts. Horn of Salvation is more like the visored mask for EoS Ichigo.
Hollows consume not just to become stronger, but to fill the infinite void in where their heart previously was. When soul becomes into a hollow, he loses its heart, which physically manifests into a hollow hole. That's the reason why they have insatiable hunger, why they craves to keep devouring souls. To fill the void.
Hollows work exactly like you said about demons. The more souls they consume and evolve the more their own soul heals and naturally tries to reagain its full form, which is human. That's why with every evolution hollows become more human-like physically as Vasto Lords is looking pretty human.
Also they basically parasitic in the sense that they consume the souls of who they inhabit, and if the host's soul that is being fed off of is strong enough then the hollow's power is that much stronger.
Thats not the case for Ulquiorra he was natural born hollow, when he came into existence he was already vasto lorde, so he was never a human to begin with.

He's not human. Never experienced feelings. Never experienced emotions. Never understood them. Never understood people. A killing machine. But managed to go against his nature and began to learn through Orihime even though he didnt need to. Almost like in Death Note when shinigami go against their nature, they die. And on his death bed he finally understood "heart" while staring at Orihime. Ive ALWAYS said this is one of the saddest deaths in the show.
What’s special about a Sonido is that firstly, only a Hollow (Menos) can do it, and they know it by instinct. Second, a Sonido user’s Spiritual Pressure actually vanishes during a Sonido, making it much harder to track than a Flash Step.

Idk if someone has already said it or if youve put it together each espada signifies an aspect of death. Ulquiorra is emptiness/dispair and when he finally realized what a heart is he fully dies.

Also my opinion was always that It was neither Ichigo nor White, it was simply auto pilot guided via the fact his hollow power gave his body enough energy in its state of near death to keep moving on its own just via sheer rage and desire to protect Orihime. Hence why once he fell he still needed to be healed by his bodies power and wasn’t exactly okay at first since he didn’t actually regain any level of himself until that moment.
You could say the battle between Ulquiorra and Ichigo is about a Hollow that is progressively gaining humanity vs a human that is progressively losing his. At the darkest time, Ichigo lost completely control and became a full Hollow, while Ulquiorra just before dying finally understood what is emotion. A tragic parallel and very important signal of how dangerous Ichigo can become if his hollow takes control, he was about to blow Ishida to ashes, he could easily destroy a whole city when back to earth. No wonder the Soul Society keeps watching him, right now he is way too dangerous to be on his own.
Note how when he transformed and grabbed Zangetsu, he made a shockwave that blew away Orihime the person he felt like he has to protect at that moment. Which indicate he doesn't really care about her while in that state

I've read the whole manga TYBW arc as well, and still Ulquiorra is my all time favorite character in Bleach. It was so cool seeing this fight and character again :)
IDK who you were refering to when you said "how do you not ship this?" but most people who are stubborn about these two together are usually too invested in some other fanon ship to let go. The problem isn't if people like something else, the problem is when things get toxic in fandom.
[Tidbits & Clarifications][Lotta reading] - Orihime cannot reject death, someone feed you false info. The person has to be alive to some degree. Most character in Bleach are spiritual beings so what lend to a full death is often a bit different than a normal human. But if someone dies she cannot recover them. - Always loved the climax of their conversation on the heart. Ichigo fights with his heart to protect those around him, Ulqiorra in an attempt to understand the heart took ichigo's heart quite literally, and what is a human without a heart...We call that a monster. Ichigo became a monster to protect those around him, tho as we saw with how he almost hurt orihime, a monster ultimately hurts everything. This plays into a bigger theme of ichigo refusing to accept that monstrous side of him, this entire arc is supposed to show ichigo becoming more hollow-like (which is why his time on the mask increses). The issue is that he still doesn't accept that side, he tries to use it as a tool rather than understand that it's as much as himself as the good parts. Ultimately we are all a bit of black and white and denying either of those helps no one and hurts everything. - The anime clearly censored what Ulquiorra does to Uryu. He 100% Takes his arm in the manga. - This episode is a very important stamp in Orihime's development. Her goal is to be able to stand alongside her allies and actually help. This arc set's off with her going to Aizen in an attempt to save her friends by sacrificing herself, this occurred for 2 reasons. : 1 she doesn't believe she could help in any other way because she's not like Ichigo : 2 she attempts to mimic Ichigo's flawed habit of sacrificing himself to save others So we end up here, with everything she did being pointless, reaffirming that she can't do anything, everyone is dropping and she can't help. The lesson here is that she should have had faith in herself and her loved ones, she needs to stop trying to be like Ichigo and work on what she excels in. - In episode 272 It always struck me when ichigo kept going on about "protecting her", because he still, deep down, feels responsible for his moms death, he couldn't protect her back then and here he felt that happening all over again, so much so that he was willing to hurt a friend not to experience those feelings again. It's a good showing of how scars can really be a detriment. (side note: Also loved how much ichigo hated winning via a monstrous form, its a good message, that their are things the we simply should not condoned even if its the easy way towards victory.) - What is it? It's the embodiment of Ichigo's Instinct, and as white said, If Ichigo wants to control his power and remain king "don't die". - I've already typed too much but, Ulquiorra saying "I have no meaning" simply because he's weaker than the enemy is meant to express Nihilism, a theme that plays into his reason for following Aizen, which deals in an entire philosophy by Nietzsche knows as the "ubermensch", but that's a story for another day. - Finally, Ichigo is not upset because he wanted Ulquiorra to live, he's upset that he won by becoming a monster. Ichigo with his own power couldn't protect anything and worse he hurt those he loved. That's not who he wants to be.
I recall seeing a fan art of Ichigo dead on the ground after he defeated Ulquiorra and Zangetsu standing over him and his eyes were not shown it truly showed how much pain zangetsu felt for being sperated from Ichigo for so long.
The fans call that form Vasto Lorde Ichigo. But it's pretty much Ichigo's Ressureccion. It doesn't get explicitly explain, but implied by Kubo subtly. A bit complicated
A few things - Sonido is high speed movement used by hollows. Ulquiorra was saying that Ichigo wasn't using soul reaper movement (shunpo) but rather hollow movement. - You should definitely react to (or just read) Ulquiorra Unmasked, his back story. - Just my personal opinion, but Ichigo fights in order to protect innocent people, but he has pride in his battles. He wouldn't want to fight a wounded opponent, like how Ulquiorra was wounded by "White" and not Ichigo. Plus Ichigo feels guilt for the damage he causes when rampaging as a hollow, hence he wanted to do Ulquiorra right by equalizing their wounds.
I wouldn't say he wants to be loved (that would be the shipper perspective talking), he's a nihilist who wants to understand humans, humanity, that's why he says he was getting interested in "you people" not her. That's why Ichigo always vexed him just as much. When it comes solely to Ichigo and Orihime (which do happen to be his main subjects of interest), then yes, we could include understanding love because those two obviously have romantic implications. But since Ulquiorra also questioned Orihime's faith in her friends and she talked about "The heart" in relation to that faith in them, etc. it's not just her romantic love with Ichigo this would be about. It would be in general, platonic too, that's why I think it's more about humanity.
Something I really like about Ichigo is that I imagine I'd have that kind of energy if I had two younger siblings instead of an older brother. People in his life want him to be well but he feels like he needs to protect everyone.
Fun fact the "I WILL SAVE YOU" can be seen as White saying it to Ichigo. Also that first nuke spear if you watch close Ichigo dodged it. he didn't miss.
Nice take, but it’s not really accurate I think. In the manga too he’s saying to himself “wake up, she’s calling you”.. it was aimed at her. And he approached her when he said “I’ll save you”.

A lot of people assume even as the incarnation of nihilism his soul was touch by the kindness and pure personality of Orihime whether it was love or not is debatable.there an entire shipping between these two call Ulqui-Hime.
Sonido is the arrancar version of Shunpo, but Sonido doesn’t use reiatsu but pure physical prowess so if you use reiatsu perception to detect the opponent present you won’t be able to follow him because of that. Pesquisa is the skill that allow arrancars to perceive reiatsu and its power, having slipped past ulquiorra’s Pesquisa Ichigo used Sonido.

You get it, Orihime's trauma and state of shock. I'm not entirely sure what Ulquiorra did but it was that I think what was preventing him for reverting Ichigo's death cause last time when Grimmjow took her to bring back Ichigo she had mentioned something about how hard it was to revert Ulquiorra's reiatsu from the hole in Ichigo's chest, and that was when he wasn't even in released form. This time he was in segunda etapa even. IDK how long it would've taken for Orihime to revert it (if she even could cause Ulquiorra implied she simply wouldn't be able this time) but clearly Ichigo's hollow, through Ichigo's will to protect Orihime was able to bring him back sooner.
To answer your question as to what that form was. THAT is what a real Vasta Lorde is like. All the espada are just aarancar. Ichigo turned into the pinnacle of what a hollow is capable of.
one thing you should check out the dub for is the scene where Ichigo first transforms, the Hollow scream is really different in the dub and I love it, it's more like a wild animal.

No spoilers, assuming youve watched every episode to this point. everything below is covered in small detail throughout the series. It was later explained by Kubo in q/a's or in databooks. To clarify, in bleach, there are several fast movement techniques: Sonido, Shunpo, and Hierenkyaku. Sonido is native to hollows and uses 0 spiritual power to do so, it is considered a natural fast movement and one of the best because of its 0 cost. Shunpo is native to shinigami and consumes the users spiritual power to use. Hirenkyaku is native to quincies, and like most quincy techniques, consumes surrounding reishi to help the quincy perform such feats. Non has been proven to be faster than the others, but Sonido has been found to be stealthier because of its 0 spiritual power use.
This Ichigo Form Is Vasto Lorde thats Mean Highest Great Hollow is the third and final stage that a Menos class hollow can reach. They are the smallest out of all the other classes of hollows usually equating to the same size as that of a human. Because the level of Vasto Lorde is extremely difficult to reach, they are rare to come across. It is said that they are so scarce one could count the number of them throughout Hueco Mundo with only the fingers on your hands. It is also said that their combat abilities surpass that of the captains of the Gotei 13. Apart from their ability to cannibalise other hollow, the exact requirement for a hollow to reach that stage of evolution is unknown. Captain Tōshirō Hitsugaya stated that if Sōsuke Aizen were the gather more than 10 Arrancar of Vasto Lorde level, Soul Society would be doomed.

Ulquiorra is unique. Unlike other espada.....he wasn't a human that died or a soul eaten by a hollow. He was born in Heuco Mundo. Pure Hollow. That's why. He has no concept of "heart" or love. He's only known emptiness. Orihime was the first time he's ever experienced any connection with anyone. Having her in his care..... orihime is basically a walking bottle of love. It's why it's so foreign to him. She basically his complete antithesis. It's why she effects him so. He's never known love or connection or affection till her.
Ichigo is too noble and honorable for his own good. But it's because he and Orihime (because fo her compassion) are like that, that Ulquiorra is able to understand better.
Also, a reason she can't just heal is because in bleach spiritual pressure out does any hack abilities, simply by leaving his spiritual pressure on his opponent, she can't heal them.

You need to understand that orihime's ability is dipendent on her resolved. Uquiorra saying her power is not enougg to heal ichigo is right cuz he know how orihime ability works. But, orihime can revive ichigo just like what she did in other character.

I wish Ichigo used his zanpaktou to kill Ulq because that would allow his soul to reincarnate, but when a hollow is killed without it their soul goes to nothingness which is very symbolic in Ulq case.

oh yes Ulquiorra is a very unique character. Despite the fact that he is an antagonist, the audience still feels sympathy for him. And yeah...just want to throw this out there...why did Ulquiora come between Ichigo and Orihime so much...jealousy perhaps? P.S. The difficulties Orihime had in healing Ichigo were due to Ulquiora's reiatsu. As Orihime herself said when she healed Ichigo for the first time (when Ulquiora pierced Ichigo with his hand), “it's heavy.” This never happened when she healed anyone else. So it can be assumed that the wounds that Ulquiora inflicts are simply harder to heal. And in his Resurrección form healing becomes even more difficult.

Sonido is the Arrancar/Hollow equivalent to Flash Step, you can tell which is being used because it has more of a bass/boom noise while the flash step is more of a swish.
Also correct me if im wrong but sonido is different from flash step, it has been said many times that the presence disappears and appears when using sonido.

While conjecture, the reason that Orihime's abilities seem inconsistent is due to how they are being used. She can reject all forms of phenomena (fucking broken) but it is still intrinsically tied to her own level of power.
When she brought back Melony, it was a person with fairly inconsequential spirit energy killed by the 6th Espada in his base form with a regular Cero (with barely any more effort behind it than simply repelling her own Cero back at her). She is now trying to bring back Ichigo, whose spirit energy and life force are on a separate planet from Melony's and the wound was inflicted by the 4th Espada in second resurrection with the Cero Oscuras. She doesn't have the power required to initiate that rejection.
Bleach abilities also rely on mental state, orihime in this instance is actively breaking down mental to the point of hyperventilation. Much like her dislike of hat causing her attacks to be week, she doesn’t think ichigo can be saved and so she’s unable to

White was already healing ichigo when orihime saved him the first time ulq killed him but after the second time whites instinct to live plus ichigos desire to save orihime plus plus ichigos low spirit level is why you didn't get lizard ichigo and more of his base quincy power was used and that's why he is HOS form esq
@@jonothanbryant9116 White was not healing Ichigo, Ichigo and White are the same character, Zangetsu was using Ichigo's own regeneration to heal Ichigo. The reason why we didn't get lizard Ichigo was because this was a partial visored-style resurreccion, while the lizard thing is just the mask summonig thing on steroids out of control. The reason why we got this quasi-resurreccion was because Ichigo was dead, so the only way Zangetsu had to save him was to resurrect him and one of the quirks of resurreccion is that it is capable of doing what it says on the name to a certain extent. By forcing Ichigo into a quasy resurreccion, Ichigo survived but because it was a forced release without words done by the zanpakuto side with the user in a weird state, the form did go berserker only instincts. Horn of Salvation is more like the visored mask for EoS Ichigo.
Hollows consume not just to become stronger, but to fill the infinite void in where their heart previously was. When soul becomes into a hollow, he loses its heart, which physically manifests into a hollow hole. That's the reason why they have insatiable hunger, why they craves to keep devouring souls. To fill the void.
Hollows work exactly like you said about demons. The more souls they consume and evolve the more their own soul heals and naturally tries to reagain its full form, which is human. That's why with every evolution hollows become more human-like physically as Vasto Lords is looking pretty human.
Also they basically parasitic in the sense that they consume the souls of who they inhabit, and if the host's soul that is being fed off of is strong enough then the hollow's power is that much stronger.
Thats not the case for Ulquiorra he was natural born hollow, when he came into existence he was already vasto lorde, so he was never a human to begin with.

What’s special about a Sonido is that firstly, only a Hollow (Menos) can do it, and they know it by instinct. Second, a Sonido user’s Spiritual Pressure actually vanishes during a Sonido, making it much harder to track than a Flash Step.

Also my opinion was always that It was neither Ichigo nor White, it was simply auto pilot guided via the fact his hollow power gave his body enough energy in its state of near death to keep moving on its own just via sheer rage and desire to protect Orihime. Hence why once he fell he still needed to be healed by his bodies power and wasn’t exactly okay at first since he didn’t actually regain any level of himself until that moment.

You could say the battle between Ulquiorra and Ichigo is about a Hollow that is progressively gaining humanity vs a human that is progressively losing his. At the darkest time, Ichigo lost completely control and became a full Hollow, while Ulquiorra just before dying finally understood what is emotion. A tragic parallel and very important signal of how dangerous Ichigo can become if his hollow takes control, he was about to blow Ishida to ashes, he could easily destroy a whole city when back to earth. No wonder the Soul Society keeps watching him, right now he is way too dangerous to be on his own.

[Tidbits & Clarifications][Lotta reading]
- Orihime cannot reject death, someone feed you false info. The person has to be alive to some degree. Most character in Bleach are spiritual beings so what lend to a full death is often a bit different than a normal human. But if someone dies she cannot recover them.
- Always loved the climax of their conversation on the heart. Ichigo fights with his heart to protect those around him, Ulqiorra in an attempt to understand the heart took ichigo's heart quite literally, and what is a human without a heart...We call that a monster. Ichigo became a monster to protect those around him, tho as we saw with how he almost hurt orihime, a monster ultimately hurts everything.
This plays into a bigger theme of ichigo refusing to accept that monstrous side of him, this entire arc is supposed to show ichigo becoming more hollow-like (which is why his time on the mask increses). The issue is that he still doesn't accept that side, he tries to use it as a tool rather than understand that it's as much as himself as the good parts. Ultimately we are all a bit of black and white and denying either of those helps no one and hurts everything.
- The anime clearly censored what Ulquiorra does to Uryu. He 100% Takes his arm in the manga.
- This episode is a very important stamp in Orihime's development. Her goal is to be able to stand alongside her allies and actually help. This arc set's off with her going to Aizen in an attempt to save her friends by sacrificing herself, this occurred for 2 reasons.
: 1 she doesn't believe she could help in any other way because she's not like Ichigo
: 2 she attempts to mimic Ichigo's flawed habit of sacrificing himself to save others
So we end up here, with everything she did being pointless, reaffirming that she can't do anything, everyone is dropping and she can't help.
The lesson here is that she should have had faith in herself and her loved ones, she needs to stop trying to be like Ichigo and work on what she excels in.
- In episode 272 It always struck me when ichigo kept going on about "protecting her", because he still, deep down, feels responsible for his moms death, he couldn't protect her back then and here he felt that happening all over again, so much so that he was willing to hurt a friend not to experience those feelings again. It's a good showing of how scars can really be a detriment. (side note: Also loved how much ichigo hated winning via a monstrous form, its a good message, that their are things the we simply should not condoned even if its the easy way towards victory.)
- What is it? It's the embodiment of Ichigo's Instinct, and as white said, If Ichigo wants to control his power and remain king "don't die".
- I've already typed too much but, Ulquiorra saying "I have no meaning" simply because he's weaker than the enemy is meant to express Nihilism, a theme that plays into his reason for following Aizen, which deals in an entire philosophy by Nietzsche knows as the "ubermensch", but that's a story for another day.
- Finally, Ichigo is not upset because he wanted Ulquiorra to live, he's upset that he won by becoming a monster. Ichigo with his own power couldn't protect anything and worse he hurt those he loved. That's not who he wants to be.

'Sonido' is a hollow's fast moving technique as soul reapers have 'flash step' and quincies have 'hirenkyaku'.
A few things
- Sonido is high speed movement used by hollows. Ulquiorra was saying that Ichigo wasn't using soul reaper movement (shunpo) but rather hollow movement.
- You should definitely react to (or just read) Ulquiorra Unmasked, his back story.
- Just my personal opinion, but Ichigo fights in order to protect innocent people, but he has pride in his battles. He wouldn't want to fight a wounded opponent, like how Ulquiorra was wounded by "White" and not Ichigo. Plus Ichigo feels guilt for the damage he causes when rampaging as a hollow, hence he wanted to do Ulquiorra right by equalizing their wounds.
I wouldn't say he wants to be loved (that would be the shipper perspective talking), he's a nihilist who wants to understand humans, humanity, that's why he says he was getting interested in "you people" not her. That's why Ichigo always vexed him just as much. When it comes solely to Ichigo and Orihime (which do happen to be his main subjects of interest), then yes, we could include understanding love because those two obviously have romantic implications. But since Ulquiorra also questioned Orihime's faith in her friends and she talked about "The heart" in relation to that faith in them, etc. it's not just her romantic love with Ichigo this would be about. It would be in general, platonic too, that's why I think it's more about humanity.

sonido is the hollow version of flash step but also hide the reatsu of the user making it good for suprise attacks or to run away
Sonido is the arrancar version of Shunpo, but Sonido doesn’t use reiatsu but pure physical prowess so if you use reiatsu perception to detect the opponent present you won’t be able to follow him because of that. Pesquisa is the skill that allow arrancars to perceive reiatsu and its power, having slipped past ulquiorra’s Pesquisa Ichigo used Sonido.

You get it, Orihime's trauma and state of shock. I'm not entirely sure what Ulquiorra did but it was that I think what was preventing him for reverting Ichigo's death cause last time when Grimmjow took her to bring back Ichigo she had mentioned something about how hard it was to revert Ulquiorra's reiatsu from the hole in Ichigo's chest, and that was when he wasn't even in released form. This time he was in segunda etapa even. IDK how long it would've taken for Orihime to revert it (if she even could cause Ulquiorra implied she simply wouldn't be able this time) but clearly Ichigo's hollow, through Ichigo's will to protect Orihime was able to bring him back sooner.
To answer your question as to what that form was. THAT is what a real Vasta Lorde is like. All the espada are just aarancar. Ichigo turned into the pinnacle of what a hollow is capable of.
one thing you should check out the dub for is the scene where Ichigo first transforms, the Hollow scream is really different in the dub and I love it, it's more like a wild animal.

To clarify, in bleach, there are several fast movement techniques: Sonido, Shunpo, and Hierenkyaku. Sonido is native to hollows and uses 0 spiritual power to do so, it is considered a natural fast movement and one of the best because of its 0 cost. Shunpo is native to shinigami and consumes the users spiritual power to use. Hirenkyaku is native to quincies, and like most quincy techniques, consumes surrounding reishi to help the quincy perform such feats. Non has been proven to be faster than the others, but Sonido has been found to be stealthier because of its 0 spiritual power use.
This Ichigo Form Is Vasto Lorde thats Mean Highest Great Hollow is the third and final stage that a Menos class hollow can reach. They are the smallest out of all the other classes of hollows usually equating to the same size as that of a human. Because the level of Vasto Lorde is extremely difficult to reach, they are rare to come across. It is said that they are so scarce one could count the number of them throughout Hueco Mundo with only the fingers on your hands. It is also said that their combat abilities surpass that of the captains of the Gotei 13.
Apart from their ability to cannibalise other hollow, the exact requirement for a hollow to reach that stage of evolution is unknown. Captain Tōshirō Hitsugaya stated that if Sōsuke Aizen were the gather more than 10 Arrancar of Vasto Lorde level, Soul Society would be doomed.

Look back to first time she healed Ichigo after Ulquiorra took him out, she commented that she have difficulty healing Ichigo's chest due to reiatsu in the wound.
This incident shows how Orihime's power is raw rejection, but it requires the determination to do so. That's why Aizen and Ulquiorra invited her to Hueco Mundo, it was to seed guilt within her
Fun fact, in manga Ishida's was torn of instead of broken. Fact that they censor it to be broken in anime is kinda dumb, since we know from soul society, he has ability to move it anyway.

Ulquiorra is unique. Unlike other espada.....he wasn't a human that died or a soul eaten by a hollow. He was born in Heuco Mundo. Pure Hollow. That's why. He has no concept of "heart" or love. He's only known emptiness. Orihime was the first time he's ever experienced any connection with anyone. Having her in his care..... orihime is basically a walking bottle of love. It's why it's so foreign to him. She basically his complete antithesis. It's why she effects him so. He's never known love or connection or affection till her.
Ichigo is too noble and honorable for his own good. But it's because he and Orihime (because fo her compassion) are like that, that Ulquiorra is able to understand better.

You need to understand that orihime's ability is dipendent on her resolved. Uquiorra saying her power is not enougg to heal ichigo is right cuz he know how orihime ability works. But, orihime can revive ichigo just like what she did in other character.

P.S. The difficulties Orihime had in healing Ichigo were due to Ulquiora's reiatsu. As Orihime herself said when she healed Ichigo for the first time (when Ulquiora pierced Ichigo with his hand), “it's heavy.”
This never happened when she healed anyone else. So it can be assumed that the wounds that Ulquiora inflicts are simply harder to heal. And in his Resurrección form healing becomes even more difficult.
