When Legend of Korra first came out, I refused to watch it. I didn't want to accept the fact that the old gang was either old and dead and how much things have changed. Last week I decided to watch it, finishing the series in 3 days. When it ended, it left a larger hole than the original Avatar did. It's amazing just how deep a show or musical piece can affect you.
I was in the exact same position. I refused to watch Legend of Korra because I believed nothing could beat or be as good as The Last Airbender....now I just started watching and I have to admit I'm getting tons of nostalgic vibes from watching the show....the art style, the music -- it's all so similar and different in its own way at the same time. I love it.

She couldn't just beat someone because she was a public figure and there were politics and laws they had to uphold. She was constantly in the shadow of aang since he never had to deal with the pressures of balancing his actions. Idk that's just how I interpreted it

I can't believe it's over.... more to the fact that Avatar is over. When TLA ended we were all beyond sadness cos the adventure was actually over. No more boomerang no more appa no more melonlord. Then LOK emerged and we were joyful cos it was our ticket to reminisce the old adventures and jump aboard new ones. But now, Avatar is truely over.. it can't be.... merely fictional characters they say. I'm beyond beyond sadness. This song just hits it hard in the heart.

The Last Airbender/Avatar series will always hold a special place in my heart. I grew up with Last Airbender as a kid and now, as I become an adult I get to finish off with Korra (I turn 19 soon). Now that Korra is over it really feels like a huge hole is there. Last Airbender left a hole that wasn't completely filled when Korra started up, so in the end it just got larger now that I have neither :( They both taught me really important lessons. It's not every day where a children's show directly impacts the way you think or interact with people, but it really was this way for me. Equality, balance, acceptance and tolerance, and learning to be at peace with yourself and others are not something my parent taught me, and it's not something too many people think about anymore until they become very old and tired. Growing up with Uncle Iroh and Tenzin as teachers will hopefully benefit my life well haha
i totally agree with you... The Legend of Korra and the rest of the Avatar series was amazing and will be something I never forget as long as i live.I Loved every moment from start to finish but I still cant get over the fact that is it done. I just feel empty and kinda lost like when i finished Bleach and Sukitte Il Na Yo (Say I Love You)... Only left to do i guess it put some of the things this show taught us our everyday lives. arghh i still cant describe my emotions and how i feel about this show with just wooords ;/

Disregarding season 1 (I'm sorry but just face the awful fact that it wasn't the best). Seasons 2 and 3 at the moment are extremely amazing. I'm glad i didn't give up on this show.

One of the things The Legend of Korra did better.... the music. The last Airbender had some damn good tracks too, but the music from Korra just mirrors atmosphere and feelings of the characters perfectly
It's not so fashioned as to be based on the characters, at least for me. There is an omniscient realm we as humans fall blind to; it may be described as love or perhaps laughter, but this realm cannot be expressed so simply. It's pieces like this, that help convey it...over silence
The shows outro to me was a thing of beauty because it was zooming in on republic city while playing sweet and soft music which was amazing but at the same time the more you watch the show, the more you begin to realise that republic city isn't a city of wonders as it was thought to be and its really just a shithole and the music just becomes sad the more you begin to realise this. Brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it.
Or how you are approaching Republic City yet with every outro you are leaving the universe as a whole. Never to be revisited again in the same way, just like the difference between watching an episode versus the first time.
I wouldn't say it's a shithole, excuse my language. But as more episodes show us, the city is secretly corrupt and not the so-called "great beacon of hope" that Tarrlok commented.
The only thing i always hated about both Avatar series is that the outro themes are so sad, it always left ya with some kind of sad and melancholic feel after the episode ended. Beautiful tracks respectively tho
I will always remember avatar. I grew up on avatar the last airbender and I've never felt so connected to a tv show in my life. I learned so many life lesson as a growing up 7 year old boy from that show and I will never forget. Uncle Iroh felt like my family. Not only that but the show taught to have respect and sympathy for people! Like when zuko was turning good and all the things he went through made me feel bad. Especially when he was trying to join aangs group in the last season and they kept denying him. I can't believe I'm saying this but that show made me the respectful and responsible and caring man I feel I am today and the show will always hold a special place in my heart

Hi, this is a message brought to you from 2019. When I was a little kid, I watched this. I remember I watched episodes from book 1 and 4. Thats all I remember. I never watched the original series, Avatar. But well, last week I saw this show on the TV and it reminded me of so many stuff. The music, it reminded me with everything. I remember when I was a massive fan of the show at such a young age and cosplaying like Korra the whole time. I was so inspired. Yet everyone made fun of me. I started to re watch the whole series once again this week and I still didnt finish it, but im in book 4 right now. And I couldnt help to tell how many times I cried through re watching the show. I dont know why but I feel like Korra herself, being a no real character, has something to do with us. With our souls. And our brains and hearts. Can't you see how much you're attached to the show? And no matter how many times you re watch the series you still cry? Isnt it weird? This is the only show through my entire life that made me feel this way. I always listen to this music when im alone in my bed and cant sleep. Tears would start escaping my eyes as I listen and re call my childhood. This is a damn great show, I wish it lasted longer. No matter how older I become, I will always love this show. And the proof is that I've been a massive fan of the series since I was a young kid. _Isn't it just so inspiring...?_
I feel like this song fits with so many moments of the series. When Katara talks about her husband, this theme can represent the reminicense of Aang's memory. When Korra is hurt after the fight with Zahier, this theme can represent the sorrow that Korra feels after she doesn't have the control over her body she wants. When this plays as Korra and Asami hold hands, it represents the quiet yet strong love they have for each out. This son is a masterpiece.

This is probably just me but I honestly feel like this song tugs at my heart strings. Every time I listen to it for some reason my heart gets warm and I smile but feel like shedding a tear it's some mystery emotion that mixes happiness, sadness and a bit of want or desire. I think the series is wonderful and all in all fairly well done I really hope that more good shows like this come out in the future.
I get a feeling of serinity and peace. Like an invitation to let go of my burdens. I really wish the songs creator would make a longer version of it. Preferably much longer, so I could just go into a state of deep relaxation.

Wish they could make like a 1 hour film (animated of course not live action) named Avatar: Universe where they would explain everything from the beginning of the universe up to the present of book 4 of LOK. That would be soooooo awesome!
No, I mean like from the beginning with the crossover with Tui and La, start there and go through like 10 Avatars in mini animation shorts, or they could make a non-canon series where they go through the lives of 10-30 Avatars, thats what I meant with all of the events that happened after Wan and the first Harmonic Convergence.
JTlivez sounds like a good idea but there would have to be at least 1,000 shorts if they were gonna go hardcore because each avatar's actions shaped the present/ future avatar's world so everything would be important and they couldn't leave anything out. and the reason they would have to have at least 1,000 is because Avatar Roku himself stated that the avatar had mastered the elements a thousand times in a thousand lifetimes ( rewatch the episode where they meet Jong Jong The Deserter and you'll find it) so they would have to do every single avatar to ever exist leading u to the present. but I'm pretty sure fans like us would watch them tough. so hopefully somebody out there has the power to do that... just anybody who's NOT he who must not be named (aka he who must never be allowed to direct again)
The feelings... What hits me straight into my heart is the fact that we'll probably never see the charachters again, and that's when the good memories just flies by. All the funny and sad moments, all the epic fights. Oh man, I can't believe all that is gone. My biggest wish in the world for now is that they countinue the avatar series. They cant't just.... put millions of fans aside & forget about the series.

As it is true that I also loved both of these and I had still wanted more you have to think about it. They should leave the series alone as it is still on a highnote. If they were to continue it may not be as good as Korra or the Last Airbender and that would bring a sour taste to the franchise. I want to be able to look back and be able to say, "Best show ever." And I may not be able to if they were to continue it and it had the possibility of not meeting up to the expectations that the first two series have made.

Their good old classics like GTO, DB, FMA, Code Geass, Death Note, and the originals are just not around anymore and I tried watching some anime but all I get nowadays are more of fan services than stories lol. Either way, Manga is still there thankfully for quick read :) Korra...on the other hand wow. This season really blew my mind, especially with today's episode!

After TLA ended I never watched this show, and now finally after so long I decided to give it a shot and finished all 4 seasons in a few days. Honestly this show is so great, I can't believe I didn't watch it until now, and I'm so sad that it's over. They have to continue it or make another avatar show. Hopefully Netflix makes their own avatar show.
I don't want korra to end! I love this made up world so much. ATLA and LoK are two of my favorite series of all time and i feel like if it ends they could shoe us so much more even when korra ends i hope there is another show to keep me envoled in this made up world that wish i could live in lol call me a dork... if only i could fly like Zaheer
***** I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I doubt they will go back to Avatar for at least 4 years. The gap between The Legend of Aang and The Legend of Korra was 4 years as well, so if they decide to go back to Avatar after Korra, I doubt they will do so for at least 4 years. I don't think they will do a sequel to Korra. Since the world of Avatar is getting more and more modern in Korra, I think the series will lose its magic if they do a sequel to Korra. The world would probably look a lot like ours and that kind of takes away the fantasy of the world. I think it's more likely that they will go back to previous avatars, such as Roku or Kyoshi. I would personally love to see Kyoshi's full story!
I love ATLA and LoK as much as you do and there is something i want to tell you that might interest you or anyone reading this. There is this phenomenon called "*Astral Projection*" (or astral travel) is an esoteric interpretation of the out of body experience assuming the existence of a spirit. This is used in ATLA and LoK in the form of the spirit world. In an Astral Projection you can do everything you want. It feels just as "real" and vivid as waking life. Try it.

It’s really been 10 years, huh? Since the end of Korra. Where does the time fly. I was 18, watching this with the family in Grandmas’ living room. And now, so much has changed… 10 years have gone by… the nostalgia… I don’t even want to think about the time between the end of The Last Airbender, and now. 2008 is wild to think about.
I really hope we get a Legend of Korra comic series. I'd love to see what Korra and Asami discover in the spirit world, how this new spirit portal will further increase the interactions with humans and spirits, if safe spirit energy based technology is ever implemented and if it is then later used to augment humans, if human spirit hybrids become a thing, how Iroh is doing, if Toph becomes a spirit like Iroh, and so much more. ^^
I've never really listened to this the first three seasons. I knew it sounded good but it didn't hit me until season 4. every episode drawing to the close this song left me in more and more tears. all good things must end but i can never forget this show. i just love it, the music, the characters, the story forever.
I honestly think the follow up should focus on the bonds and love between siblings. Twins, but ONLY one can be the next Avatar, but both are candidates and it is unknown which will be it. The idea of twins becoming enemies is beyond over done, but the idea that there IS some conflict between them and as the show progresses and gets darker, their rivarly grows slowly into that conflict which would be very emotional and heartbreaking to see the siblings go up against eachother, but not become nemesis and in the end, the love between siblings outweighs destiny. None of this evil twin crap. It's about the emotional impact of how two siblings want the same thing and how one must accept that perhaps they were not the Avatar, but the one that cultivates, inspires and transforms the other into the right path. The one you least expect should become the Avatar and the other would stand proud to what he helped create. It would focus on a family subject that I do not believe has EVER been well portrayed in animation as a plot focus. And they'd both have to be Earth benders.
This story sounds beautiful, but... To be honest, I don't think it'd work. From what we've seen so far, the Avatars have all demonstrated easily the power over more than one element(even Aang, who hadn't been outside of the air temples, could do some form of water bending before being even instructed by Katara.) The story COULD work if, rather than both being a candidate for the Avatar, one twin IS the Avatar and the other twin has to cope with the fact that even though they look the same the other has the power.
I'm sure they can come up with a good reason. Maybe destiny split between the two. Maybe they both learn more than one, but only one of them can learn all the elements. Just cuz you are destined to be the Avatar, doesnt mean you will become the Avatar. You have to learn to become it. It's always about the journey, the transformation. They can come up with something. If the writing is good, the story would make sense. Or maybe since the destiny split, they both can be, but it comes down to one of them choosing not to be. Who knows, I trust in the writers and stick to my concept. The idea of an emotional ending where, after so much pain, anguish, everything they went through together and all the conflicts, the siblings are side by side, one is the Avatar and the other tells him that he is proud to be the Avatar's brother, but Honored to be (brother's name)'s brother, Honored, is just too good to pass, lol.
That could also be interesting. Whatever they choose to do, though, I'm not sure they'd go that route of a shared destiny. Could be cool though. But, either way, it's only a good idea. They'll probably come up with something like a villain becomes the avatar and you see him slowly become good. Like maybe two groups searching for the avatar. Good and bad. Him a part of the bad guys and for at least the first two seasons no one knows who the the avatar is nor where he is until the last episode of the second season where the villain discovers he IS the avatar and sees the benefit of such power on their side, the next seasons focus on how he begins to change as he learns more and more, and begins to see himself as the world sees him. How power doesn't satisfy him. How it is never enough becomes he is missing that which gives him perfect balance. To care, love,laugh, help, embrace honor. Actually, thats a good idea too! And then slowly those who were his companions break off, most becoming enemies, but his closest stay by him, for reasons not fully rightious, one perhaps out of simply it is his or her duty to honor what they've been through together. to see things through, at least til the end. Another could see things more his way and understand his alteration and etc. but their personalities don't change they just become better or a bit better person than they were or ever were. And in the end, he and his few companions must choose the sides of the protagonists of the first two seasons (who during the third season became supporting cast shifting the point of view to the villain's) in order to battle his former army led by those who abandoned his side. That would actually be a pretty interesting idea too. Though i Like the twins more. Still, this one could also show the importance of good and bad, that there is no light without dark. That we all make errors in life and some bigger than others. That there can be no power and no heart without each other. Balance is the difference between good and bad from Good vs Evil.
I'm an old gal[in my 30's] when I get dressed for work in the mornings I usually have my tv on either Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon cause the news is just so freaking depressing here in Chicago. Korra is always ending just as I'm leaving out so some mornings this music is the last thing I hear before I go out and start my work day. The Last Airbender and Korra are my favorite animated series.
Man, The Legend Of Korra and The Last Airbender are just the most amazing and memorable cartoons since Hey Arnold! on Nick. I really hope if this franchise is going to be the next Nick's Flagship series, they don't ruin it like they did with Spongebob. Anyway, the this music never fails :D

everytime when i hear this Ending song i cry, because i remember me at the story and the life of Korra and the all bad things what her enemies does to her... it's only a heartbreakingly sad Song :((
This series is probably the most diverse animation I have ever seen. I've never related so much to a show as I did with this one. One thing I found that was a regular pattern in this series and atla was the common "bad parents" Thing and how much their children wanted to please their parents but as they grew they realised they needed to do what made themselves feel happy. When I watched this I related so much to toph, zuko, Lin, tenzin and his siblings. They all wanted to please their parents. And they were either never satisfied or some had crazy parents. And in the end they all realized they weren't born to live for others. That's the beautiful thing about this show that the characters actually grow and you can relate to their real life struggles. So many of them were imperfect but showed that they didn't need what others had to be strong in their own way. This show in general was the true definition of equality.
Both avatar end credits are great, both reflecting on the tones. Avatar, a bit more lighthearted has a beat that I can really jam to. On the other hand, Korras end credit music feels much more serious and solemn, similarly to the topics presented.

Didn't even like Korra all that much, but when this played at the end of the final episode, it actually managed to move me to tears. You never know how much you'll miss something until it's gone...
Spoilers for anyone who hasn't finished book 3 This song really hit home with me after the finale. Just seeing Korra in that wheelchair crying then this piece came up just made me go "wow" this whole season really led to an amazing pay off and consequences! Some many shows miss the idea I consequence and have the main characters easily get out unharmed but this ending really nailed it for me. So far season 4 is shaping up to be something special.
In my opinion, Avatar is by far better than most of the animes. I like the drawing and the meanings each episodes contain. They are some what philosphical.
Imagine them getting the old cast from the last airbender together to make a new series of the road to recovery as a sequel to the first series. The cast would be aged a bit naturally which only helps the story come even more alive. I'd love to hear aang's voice again. I'd love to see boomerang fly again! I want to know what happened to zukos mother too! RIP Mako....

I just realized . . . Korra's decision not to close the spirit portals of the north and south has a more deep sense . . . it's not just because so that the spirits and humans can live together in peace but the bonus of the Airbenders as well , so that the Avatar Cycle will still continue it's natural pattern .
I don't know why, but hearing this song is making me feel so many emotions I haven't felt in years. I feel choked up. I am moved to tears by this. Farewell Avatar, may you be remembered as one of the greatest shows of all time.
I genuinely love this show, even though it’s a different love than what I had for ATLA. Legend of Korra was a different story that just happened to take place in the same universe of ATLA, and even though there were certain things about it I didn’t like, once I finished the show it was heartbreaking to let Korra go just like I had to let Aang and Team Avatar go in his show. This ending theme represents that as a whole

Avatar among other things in this community the importance of forgiveness, balance, basic human morals, how real world ideals pushes people too far. Korra and The Last Airbender have so much that needs to be acknowledged, it's a shame more people don't watch it
The score of movie/TV show means so much. I think of epics like Titanic and Star Wars. The Sam Rami Spider-Man Trilogy had a great score as well. Korra and The Last Airbender also have this great quality. A score doesn't make a piece of cinema, but when you find a score that can so perfectly compliment a series, you have a winner.
When I first watched the series, I never payed much attention to this song, but when the series ended, it hit me how much it represented sadness and loss, and it just fit perfectly into the ending. I have loved this song since then.

I can't believe it's over.... more to the fact that Avatar is over. When TLA ended we were all beyond sadness cos the adventure was actually over. No more boomerang no more appa no more melonlord. The Last Airbender/Avatar series will always hold a special place in my heart. I grew up with Last Airbender as a kid and now, as I become an adult I get to finish off with Korra (I turn 19 soon). Now that Korra is over it really feels like a huge hole is there. Last Airbender left a hole that wasn't completely filled when Korra started up, so in the end it just got larger now that I have neither :(
They both taught me really important lessons. It's not every day where a children's show directly impacts the way you think or interact with people, but it really was this way for me. Equality, balance, acceptance and tolerance, and learning to be at peace with yourself and others are not something my parent taught me, and it's not something too many people think about anymore until they become very old and tired. Growing up with Uncle Iroh and Tenzin as teachers will hopefully benefit my life well haha

The shows outro to me was a thing of beauty because it was zooming in on republic city while playing sweet and soft music which was amazing but at the same time the more you watch the show, the more you begin to realise that republic city isn't a city of wonders as it was thought to be and its really just a shithole and the music just becomes sad the more you begin to realise this. Brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it.
Or how you are approaching Republic City yet with every outro you are leaving the universe as a whole. Never to be revisited again in the same way, just like the difference between watching an episode versus the first time.
I wouldn't say it's a shithole, excuse my language. But as more episodes show us, the city is secretly corrupt and not the so-called "great beacon of hope" that Tarrlok commented.

I will always remember avatar. I grew up on avatar the last airbender and I've never felt so connected to a tv show in my life. I learned so many life lesson as a growing up 7 year old boy from that show and I will never forget. Uncle Iroh felt like my family. Not only that but the show taught to have respect and sympathy for people! Like when zuko was turning good and all the things he went through made me feel bad. Especially when he was trying to join aangs group in the last season and they kept denying him. I can't believe I'm saying this but that show made me the respectful and responsible and caring man I feel I am today and the show will always hold a special place in my heart

When I was a little kid, I watched this. I remember I watched episodes from book 1 and 4. Thats all I remember. I never watched the original series, Avatar. But well, last week I saw this show on the TV and it reminded me of so many stuff. The music, it reminded me with everything. I remember when I was a massive fan of the show at such a young age and cosplaying like Korra the whole time. I was so inspired. Yet everyone made fun of me.
I started to re watch the whole series once again this week and I still didnt finish it, but im in book 4 right now. And I couldnt help to tell how many times I cried through re watching the show. I dont know why but I feel like Korra herself, being a no real character, has something to do with us. With our souls. And our brains and hearts. Can't you see how much you're attached to the show? And no matter how many times you re watch the series you still cry?
Isnt it weird? This is the only show through my entire life that made me feel this way. I always listen to this music when im alone in my bed and cant sleep. Tears would start escaping my eyes as I listen and re call my childhood.
This is a damn great show, I wish it lasted longer. No matter how older I become, I will always love this show. And the proof is that I've been a massive fan of the series since I was a young kid.

This is probably just me but I honestly feel like this song tugs at my heart strings. Every time I listen to it for some reason my heart gets warm and I smile but feel like shedding a tear it's some mystery emotion that mixes happiness, sadness and a bit of want or desire. I think the series is wonderful and all in all fairly well done I really hope that more good shows like this come out in the future.
I get a feeling of serinity and peace. Like an invitation to let go of my burdens. I really wish the songs creator would make a longer version of it. Preferably much longer, so I could just go into a state of deep relaxation.

No, I mean like from the beginning with the crossover with Tui and La, start there and go through like 10 Avatars in mini animation shorts, or they could make a non-canon series where they go through the lives of 10-30 Avatars, thats what I meant with all of the events that happened after Wan and the first Harmonic Convergence.
JTlivez sounds like a good idea but there would have to be at least 1,000 shorts if they were gonna go hardcore because each avatar's actions shaped the present/ future avatar's world so everything would be important and they couldn't leave anything out. and the reason they would have to have at least 1,000 is because Avatar Roku himself stated that the avatar had mastered the elements a thousand times in a thousand lifetimes ( rewatch the episode where they meet Jong Jong The Deserter and you'll find it) so they would have to do every single avatar to ever exist leading u to the present. but I'm pretty sure fans like us would watch them tough. so hopefully somebody out there has the power to do that... just anybody who's NOT he who must not be named (aka he who must never be allowed to direct again)

As it is true that I also loved both of these and I had still wanted more you have to think about it. They should leave the series alone as it is still on a highnote. If they were to continue it may not be as good as Korra or the Last Airbender and that would bring a sour taste to the franchise. I want to be able to look back and be able to say, "Best show ever." And I may not be able to if they were to continue it and it had the possibility of not meeting up to the expectations that the first two series have made.

After TLA ended I never watched this show, and now finally after so long I decided to give it a shot and finished all 4 seasons in a few days. Honestly this show is so great, I can't believe I didn't watch it until now, and I'm so sad that it's over. They have to continue it or make another avatar show. Hopefully Netflix makes their own avatar show.

I don't think they will do a sequel to Korra. Since the world of Avatar is getting more and more modern in Korra, I think the series will lose its magic if they do a sequel to Korra. The world would probably look a lot like ours and that kind of takes away the fantasy of the world. I think it's more likely that they will go back to previous avatars, such as Roku or Kyoshi. I would personally love to see Kyoshi's full story!
I love ATLA and LoK as much as you do and there is something i want to tell you that might interest you or anyone reading this. There is this phenomenon called "*Astral Projection*" (or astral travel) is an esoteric interpretation of the out of body experience assuming the existence of a spirit. This is used in ATLA and LoK in the form of the spirit world. In an Astral Projection you can do everything you want. It feels just as "real" and vivid as waking life. Try it.

I really hope we get a Legend of Korra comic series. I'd love to see what Korra and Asami discover in the spirit world, how this new spirit portal will further increase the interactions with humans and spirits, if safe spirit energy based technology is ever implemented and if it is then later used to augment humans, if human spirit hybrids become a thing, how Iroh is doing, if Toph becomes a spirit like Iroh, and so much more. ^^

Oh my god it has been almost 10 years since the last episode of Korra. I can't believe it. I am going to rewatch it again very soon for sure.
I honestly think the follow up should focus on the bonds and love between siblings. Twins, but ONLY one can be the next Avatar, but both are candidates and it is unknown which will be it. The idea of twins becoming enemies is beyond over done, but the idea that there IS some conflict between them and as the show progresses and gets darker, their rivarly grows slowly into that conflict which would be very emotional and heartbreaking to see the siblings go up against eachother, but not become nemesis and in the end, the love between siblings outweighs destiny. None of this evil twin crap. It's about the emotional impact of how two siblings want the same thing and how one must accept that perhaps they were not the Avatar, but the one that cultivates, inspires and transforms the other into the right path. The one you least expect should become the Avatar and the other would stand proud to what he helped create. It would focus on a family subject that I do not believe has EVER been well portrayed in animation as a plot focus. And they'd both have to be Earth benders.
This story sounds beautiful, but... To be honest, I don't think it'd work. From what we've seen so far, the Avatars have all demonstrated easily the power over more than one element(even Aang, who hadn't been outside of the air temples, could do some form of water bending before being even instructed by Katara.) The story COULD work if, rather than both being a candidate for the Avatar, one twin IS the Avatar and the other twin has to cope with the fact that even though they look the same the other has the power.
I'm sure they can come up with a good reason. Maybe destiny split between the two. Maybe they both learn more than one, but only one of them can learn all the elements. Just cuz you are destined to be the Avatar, doesnt mean you will become the Avatar. You have to learn to become it. It's always about the journey, the transformation. They can come up with something. If the writing is good, the story would make sense. Or maybe since the destiny split, they both can be, but it comes down to one of them choosing not to be. Who knows, I trust in the writers and stick to my concept. The idea of an emotional ending where, after so much pain, anguish, everything they went through together and all the conflicts, the siblings are side by side, one is the Avatar and the other tells him that he is proud to be the Avatar's brother, but Honored to be (brother's name)'s brother, Honored, is just too good to pass, lol.

They'll probably come up with something like a villain becomes the avatar and you see him slowly become good. Like maybe two groups searching for the avatar. Good and bad. Him a part of the bad guys and for at least the first two seasons no one knows who the the avatar is nor where he is until the last episode of the second season where the villain discovers he IS the avatar and sees the benefit of such power on their side, the next seasons focus on how he begins to change as he learns more and more, and begins to see himself as the world sees him. How power doesn't satisfy him. How it is never enough becomes he is missing that which gives him perfect balance. To care, love,laugh, help, embrace honor. Actually, thats a good idea too! And then slowly those who were his companions break off, most becoming enemies, but his closest stay by him, for reasons not fully rightious, one perhaps out of simply it is his or her duty to honor what they've been through together. to see things through, at least til the end. Another could see things more his way and understand his alteration and etc. but their personalities don't change they just become better or a bit better person than they were or ever were. And in the end, he and his few companions must choose the sides of the protagonists of the first two seasons (who during the third season became supporting cast shifting the point of view to the villain's) in order to battle his former army led by those who abandoned his side. That would actually be a pretty interesting idea too. Though i Like the twins more. Still, this one could also show the importance of good and bad, that there is no light without dark. That we all make errors in life and some bigger than others. That there can be no power and no heart without each other. Balance is the difference between good and bad from Good vs Evil.

I'm an old gal[in my 30's] when I get dressed for work in the mornings I usually have my tv on either Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon cause the news is just so freaking depressing here in Chicago. Korra is always ending just as I'm leaving out so some mornings this music is the last thing I hear before I go out and start my work day. The Last Airbender and Korra are my favorite animated series.
Man, The Legend Of Korra and The Last Airbender are just the most amazing and memorable cartoons since Hey Arnold! on Nick. I really hope if this franchise is going to be the next Nick's Flagship series, they don't ruin it like they did with Spongebob. Anyway, the this music never fails :D

This series is probably the most diverse animation I have ever seen. I've never related so much to a show as I did with this one. One thing I found that was a regular pattern in this series and atla was the common "bad parents" Thing and how much their children wanted to please their parents but as they grew they realised they needed to do what made themselves feel happy. When I watched this I related so much to toph, zuko, Lin, tenzin and his siblings. They all wanted to please their parents. And they were either never satisfied or some had crazy parents. And in the end they all realized they weren't born to live for others. That's the beautiful thing about this show that the characters actually grow and you can relate to their real life struggles. So many of them were imperfect but showed that they didn't need what others had to be strong in their own way. This show in general was the true definition of equality.
Both avatar end credits are great, both reflecting on the tones. Avatar, a bit more lighthearted has a beat that I can really jam to. On the other hand, Korras end credit music feels much more serious and solemn, similarly to the topics presented.

Clinged can’t say I there to watch the original premier of either show, they were made before I was born, but my family and I watch it every year, it’s like a tradition.
All along, this was the Korrasami theme. I didn't think the writers would go there, but they did. Good job. That threw me off by surprise. :p

Spoilers for anyone who hasn't finished book 3
This song really hit home with me after the finale. Just seeing Korra in that wheelchair crying then this piece came up just made me go "wow" this whole season really led to an amazing pay off and consequences! Some many shows miss the idea I consequence and have the main characters easily get out unharmed but this ending really nailed it for me. So far season 4 is shaping up to be something special.
In my opinion, Avatar is by far better than most of the animes. I like the drawing and the meanings each episodes contain. They are some what philosphical.

Imagine them getting the old cast from the last airbender together to make a new series of the road to recovery as a sequel to the first series. The cast would be aged a bit naturally which only helps the story come even more alive. I'd love to hear aang's voice again. I'd love to see boomerang fly again! I want to know what happened to zukos mother too! RIP Mako....
airanator1212 there are comics following up instantly after the ending of the legend of aang, the questions with zukos mother and many more are getting answered, just google them. i don't think they will make a series out of them but they are still nice to read if you liked the series :)

I just realized . . . Korra's decision not to close the spirit portals of the north and south has a more deep sense . . . it's not just because so that the spirits and humans can live together in peace but the bonus of the Airbenders as well , so that the Avatar Cycle will still continue it's natural pattern .

I genuinely love this show, even though it’s a different love than what I had for ATLA. Legend of Korra was a different story that just happened to take place in the same universe of ATLA, and even though there were certain things about it I didn’t like, once I finished the show it was heartbreaking to let Korra go just like I had to let Aang and Team Avatar go in his show. This ending theme represents that as a whole

I haven't seen all of the Airbender series, but I have watched the whole Legend of Korra series and I absolutely love it, one of the best cartoon shows in my opinion. Avatar among other things in this community the importance of forgiveness, balance, basic human morals, how real world ideals pushes people too far. Korra and The Last Airbender have so much that needs to be acknowledged, it's a shame more people don't watch it

The score of movie/TV show means so much. I think of epics like Titanic and Star Wars. The Sam Rami Spider-Man Trilogy had a great score as well. Korra and The Last Airbender also have this great quality. A score doesn't make a piece of cinema, but when you find a score that can so perfectly compliment a series, you have a winner.
When I first watched the series, I never payed much attention to this song, but when the series ended, it hit me how much it represented sadness and loss, and it just fit perfectly into the ending. I have loved this song since then.
