We've got couple of these in my shop running mostly cold rolled steel 7/16 diam. While good runners I wouldn't advise running them, even when running brass, without hourly or even 30 minute checks. Too many bad things can happen too fast with all that's going on.
All the extra axes are for meant to reduce cycle times, to make the machine more like a rotary transfer machine, simultaneous cutting, combining two or more operations into one. Can you make the same part on a 7th axis machine? You probably can but its going to take longer. Now, to program a three or more paths (heads) and synch them in the most efficient way, thats the real challenge where CAM softwares are barely keeping up.
Does not look like it has quick change tooling, more like gang tooling. probably take 5 hours to set-up like the old screw machines vs. C.N.C Lathes. When I see a machine that uses oil for coolant, that's enough for me. :-/
So Sweet They came a long way in Last 15 years I Want it

I feel for the sales guy who has this for his demo.
yeah, where is the finished part?
Incredible!
@HeadShot360IN The 11th and 12th transcend space and time.
LOL. They used to be. but they have to keep up with technology, how many axes does citizen have at most?
You can make them I agree, but the cycle time may be twice as much, meaning your shop won't get the job.
I work in a shop with Star machines, Citizen and Deco's. Star's are most user friendly..
without a finished part, whats the point of this video?
Isn't this a $3M machine?
Good Machines, but get to trouble also too fast
finished part that you looking for youcoud make with 12 tarret cnc lathe /35k$
