About 15 years ago, I had an old pair of BMW motorcycle boots that had soles I hated. They didn’t grip very well on wet pavement, which is not a good feature when riding a BMW (or any motorcycle). So I went to a cobbler to have them resoled with Vibram soles. I whined about the cost, but they ended up being amazing amazing. Those boots lasted 10 years of riding. I actually sold them on eBay because BMW quit making that style, and because of what the cobbler had done, it made them more valuable because it made it easier to replace the soles. Now I know why! Literally no one other than a few black dudes in NYC care if they "look fake." Stupid shoes and a stupid style. Cool video though.
@@SirPhilMcCrackinVonBeggington Oh you'd be surprised. There's a whole gang of Timbs followers who wouldn't touch anything even little out of whack from what they consider original. I agree, they're just boots but ain't stupid, to each his own.
The ultimate pair of constructs where born that day
Just from a respect factor clean your soles before bringing them to the cobbler. Some people are such trash.
👍
Great job. You added 25 years life to his booths. Thanks
Thank you!
Love watching the press that secures the sole. For some reason it's very satisfying. Great job as always guys.
Thank you!
@@TrentonHeath How does the press work exactly? Just by applying pressure or is there heat involved? Been wondering since the first time I watch your video. 😃
Wow! It was better than the original! How i wish i had an old boot to send you to rebuild it...
why am i watching shoe repair youtube? Why am I enjoying it?!
Me too
G'day great boot upgrade and restoration it's amazing how you can breathe new life into shoes and boots that would have been thrown away and some of the finishes to the uppers and soles are a work of art. One thing after watching a lot of your videos is the filthy state you get these sent to you in particularly the boots I think it's a bloody nerve sending boots into you with mud and crap all over them, I would be wearing very good gloves and strong hand wash after putting your hands inside them. Anyway love your channel and always look forward to watching the next video, kind regards John
Thank you very much for watching our videos!
I like that decorative red stitching on the soles! 👍
This probably cost more than buying a pair of new shoes. But the result was great! Loved the red stitching!
Thank you!
Saphir Renovateur Spray for suede & nubuck does a great job to revive that nubuck leather. Tried on my Timberlands yesterday and I was surprised how good they got to look.
👍
Hi, great video on the Timberlands. Are you all not doing this type of repair now? Or just Goodyear Welted repair? Timberland will not repair their own products.
omg! this is what we call: QUALITY! 😎👍👍
Wow, wish mine looked and were rebuilt like these. Thanks for sharing.
I like watching REAL craftsmen at there trade. It takes talent.
Thank you for the video. Can you give me some advice on how to remove paint from Tims boots if I painted them badly?
Those soles turned out beautiful! Great craftsmanship
One of my requests has been fulfilled! Thanks a lot Trenton! Wish I could experience some of your proper winter ❄️
Today the temperature was 20 degrees Celsius in Greece. Not even autumn standards 😆
One of my very favorite vacations is when my dad took me to Greece for vacation! Loved it!!
why is watching shoe repair so satisfying
Sweet video. I no longer buy leather products but I miss wearing Timbz. I have an old pair needing a resole. Think I might just do that do I can reuse/repurpose them.
Nice work guys I LOVE your channel and the care and work you put into people's shoes! Keep on keeping on!
Thank you very much!
Even with them still not cleaning up like new he made those $180 pair of boots into a $250 pair of boots just by the work he did on them! Maybe Timberland should have these guys make the boots for them! They would actually be made the right way! Great work!
