My 2 brothers and myself were sitting at that spot, late in the evening of january 15th 2017, right after the show and a quick trip to the (sometimes weird at night) snack bar. I remember just watching the near-full moon and stars over the ocean, listening to the waves... a bit tipsy I must admit :) We had a great talk and walked back on the beach to our rooms at the extreme north side of the resort. A night to remember! Just felt like sharing ;) Thanks for the time you put into this!

I can’t wait to go back again. I was aware by your time share people and I admit I got sucker it to it. They say it’s only 99 minutes but it was 3 hours long. I was upset cause I felt like they mislead us and took an afternoon from our vacation. Staff was awesome, so friendly and I felt safe there. I won’t hesitate to back again!

Amazing memories though 😊

Great video! I watched the whole thing. My daughter and I will be visiting this hotel in June and I hadn’t been able to fully understand the layout of the resort in regards to the beach and pools. I totally understand now and am even more excited thanks to this. 🏅
We stayed her last March and we are going back in December. Stayed at Coba last November for a wedding (our first vacation to Mexico), and we decided on Tulum for the second time because of the convenience of having your room close to the beach. Our room was in building 12 right behind the snack bar and the second, quiet pool and it was well worth it. The cost wasn’t that much different from Coba but if you are a beach bum like we are it is so worth it. Going for our birthdays and I can’t wait to see how they decorate for Christmas. They were just starting to put the lights up when we left in November. I love Christmas decor

Great and informative, seems like you covered most everything. We went last November and will be there again in 2 weeks. Love it. Last time there were tons of Canadians (which were all nice) and some Brits and Germans.. Everyone we met were great! You don't get a chance to meet a lot of people from Europe here in the States and it's cool to talk with people from other parts of the globe. Great video!

hey Wayne, i always go in mid or late august, so humidity is very high. i know a lot of people going march-april and they say it's less humid. it's also a less hot, still noce though. would love to go one day during christmas, but the price is a bit too high for me ;) i totally felt in love wit that place, each year im looking at other destinations, but this place keeps calling me back lol
agree! they have so little, still they are happy. they staff is what makes that resort even more amazing! made many friends over the years, staff and guests. and although the beach can be a bit rocky, the vieuw is amazing!love the wildlife, early mornings are my fav time, to hear the birds singing and to watch the sunrise, so peacefull

Maria Chase they are slowly getting rid of the dolphin shows. That’s what we were told in March when we were there. Animal protection groups are putting lots of pressure on places that have marine life on display to get rid of them. I’m hoping by the time I go back this December it will just be another pool

Hi ya. April is good time. Its windy all year round. You tend to get the American and Canadian college students there during march and April. We went to a Xcaret park and it took about 30min by coach. Hope everything goes well for you.
+MrRw59 thank you for watching. Unfortunately there isn't buses that go to the town, you would need to get a taxi. Some tour operators organise free shuttle trips to Playa Del Carmen (Thomas Cook) however they divert you to shops along the way

Mick Boyes thanks for watching. We was told to take Mexican currency due to better exchange rate but we found whilst in Mexico that mostly all places use the us dollar, when paying in Mexican currency they convert it to the US dollar exchange rate making items more expensive. Plus you have to be careful taking Mexican money as you often get cheated if u don't check the calculations correctly. My advice is to use the us dollar.

I tend to tip house keeping, middle and end of my stay. I tend to tip individuals in the resort. I'd avoid the dolphins in the resort as they are kept in a large swimming pool. We went to the Explor adventures which was very good, they have zip lines etc...
@@canna04so7 it is very nice great drinks and you can actually buy a ticket inside the hotel with one of the guys in reception! Make sure you get the all inclusive
+lorraine seddon hi ya. There is a dress code for the restaurants but most people wore smart shorts and shirt due to the heat, this includes myself. I never saw anybody being told off lol

Thank you for your kind comments, the food at all of the restaurants including the main buffet restaurant was fantastic, I couldn't fault the food at all. As for the sailing, my apologies but I didn't take part in any sailing so can not say unfortunately. I hope you have a fantastic time.
Thanks for the tour. My travel agent picked this for me (he always picks 3 and shows them to me then I pick one) and I think he made a good choice. I will be there in Feb. Are the balconies off the rooms private? Are they those little skinny things that they somehow wedge two chairs and a small bistro table onto? (I don't care because I don't plan on spending a lot of time there but mum and I got a laugh out of it at the last resort we were at.)

Yes coba is the sister resort they are all connected I know for the nightlife they all will be connected to attend in the same place. In your package should tell you what you have access to. I am staying in coba leaving in a couple weeks!

Ruth Cartner hi ya, I'd recommend taking the dollar as everything is priced in the dollar. Akamul apparently is good for snorkeling, I didn't go myself but was told by others that went, it's only a about a 10min taxi ride from the bahia principe Tulum

I'm told the nightlife life is good, I tend to make my own entertainment but having said that there is nothing outside the hotel within walking distance. Was you ever bored during your stay ? Thinking of booking this place or Coba for 2 adults & a child. But with it been so isolated and most time spent on resort, did you ever feel at a loose end ?It was either this region or Cancun as atleast up there you have the nightlife on the door step, but these resorts look beautiful and are slightly cheaper than Cancun and have great reviews. Just hoping were not bored after a few days of the same scenery constantly. Also how far is Akumal beach ? As that looks a really nice beach too. And finally did you ever venture off resort to anything nearby such as Playa Del Carman or anywhere that might be of interest. Thanks for your help
+Liakon92 hi ya, there were times where I felt isolated, there's no where to walk to apart from the beach, the hotel itself is huge and great value for money in my opinion. Having said that next time I go then I will go to cancun. It's a long transfer to Rivera Maya. The Tulum hotel is on the beach where the coba is not but you can use the free transfers to and from hotel, the akumal hotel is exclusive to that hotel, staying at the Tulum and coba means you can't use there facilities including the beach area. The beach in cancun is much better then the one at Tulum, loads of rocks in the Tulum area. The only way to visit Playa Del Carmen and akumal is by taxi.

Great video! 2 questions, what would you recommend for tipping like every drink and for housekeeping. Also what excursions or activities do you recommend?
I tend to tip house keeping, middle and end of my stay. I tend to tip individuals in the resort. I'd avoid the dolphins in the resort as they are kept in a large swimming pool. We went to the Explor adventures which was very good, they have zip lines etc...

Hi ya, there is nightly entertainment there and a night club, we didn't use the night club but did enjoy many live singers

@@canna04so7 it is very nice great drinks and you can actually buy a ticket inside the hotel with one of the guys in reception! Make sure you get the all inclusive

+lorraine seddon hi ya. There is a dress code for the restaurants but most people wore smart shorts and shirt due to the heat, this includes myself. I never saw anybody being told off lol

+Ediz Beyaz the restaurants do have a dress code which is smart casual, most people wore smart shorts because it was so hot, I went to 6 of the restaurants and there was never an issue with this. Hope you have a fantastic time

Thank you for your kind comments, the food at all of the restaurants including the main buffet restaurant was fantastic, I couldn't fault the food at all. As for the sailing, my apologies but I didn't take part in any sailing so can not say unfortunately. I hope you have a fantastic time.

Thanks for the tour. My travel agent picked this for me (he always picks 3 and shows them to me then I pick one) and I think he made a good choice. I will be there in Feb. Are the balconies off the rooms private? Are they those little skinny things that they somehow wedge two chairs and a small bistro table onto? (I don't care because I don't plan on spending a lot of time there but mum and I got a laugh out of it at the last resort we were at.)
I like a resort and the beach and swimming pool the people in Mexico very nice

Yes coba is the sister resort they are all connected I know for the nightlife they all will be connected to attend in the same place. In your package should tell you what you have access to. I am staying in coba leaving in a couple weeks!
My wife and I are considering this place. How would you rate the food? And was the buffet pretty good? We go to cancun almost every year, and the food makes a huge difference

Ruth Cartner hi ya, I'd recommend taking the dollar as everything is priced in the dollar. Akamul apparently is good for snorkeling, I didn't go myself but was told by others that went, it's only a about a 10min taxi ride from the bahia principe Tulum

+Gillian Garcia thank you very much, the quality of food was excellent I thought, I often saw staff taking temperature readings, the restaurants were very clean. As a x chef I was impressed. I'm told the nightlife life is good, I tend to make my own entertainment but having said that there is nothing outside the hotel within walking distance. When we was there we found the US Dollar ruled, we took Pacos but in future will take the Dollar

Was you ever bored during your stay ? Thinking of booking this place or Coba for 2 adults & a child. But with it been so isolated and most time spent on resort, did you ever feel at a loose end ?It was either this region or Cancun as atleast up there you have the nightlife on the door step, but these resorts look beautiful and are slightly cheaper than Cancun and have great reviews. Just hoping were not bored after a few days of the same scenery constantly. Also how far is Akumal beach ? As that looks a really nice beach too. And finally did you ever venture off resort to anything nearby such as Playa Del Carman or anywhere that might be of interest. Thanks for your help
+Liakon92 hi ya, there were times where I felt isolated, there's no where to walk to apart from the beach, the hotel itself is huge and great value for money in my opinion. Having said that next time I go then I will go to cancun. It's a long transfer to Rivera Maya.
The Tulum hotel is on the beach where the coba is not but you can use the free transfers to and from hotel, the akumal hotel is exclusive to that hotel, staying at the Tulum and coba means you can't use there facilities including the beach area.
The beach in cancun is much better then the one at Tulum, loads of rocks in the Tulum area.
The only way to visit Playa Del Carmen and akumal is by taxi.

Hi ya. I've only been to this resort, I've walked past the Akumal past the beach, I'm told it's a little bit more adult friendly and apparently slightly higher in class.
