I’m still carrying my 1990’s Gen 1 model 19 that I’ve lightly modified over the years of absolute accuracy and flawless function. I actually bought the pistol purely out of curiosity believe it or not! One of the Best Buy’s of my entire life! I’m an old and disabled veteran and I alternate EDC pistols purely on what I feel every morning as I dress for the day. Some days I carry my 1911c and others it’s my old 19, neither pistol is wrong for the protection of myself or my family, it’s purely instinctual as to which one I carry. I do very much want a new GLOCK, I gave my little Sister a model 43x after her husband died suddenly leaving her alone and responsible for her own self preservation/protection 24/7 and I absolutely fell in love with that pistol as it’s so very concealable and typically GLOCK accurate and reliable. FYI- Everything I’ve purchased from Glock Store has been 1st Class in every way so, Thank You!
Be careful switching out platforms for your EDC. I don't need to explain how they are different, but 1911's and Glocks obviously have different functions to make them go bang. When seconds matter, you wouldn't want to draw that 1911 with muscle memory trained on a Glock and forget that thumb safety. Food for thought.
Your videos are so awesome. I can't thank you enough for all you do for the community my brother! Can't wait to finally have enough to purchase on of your beautiful custom setups!
Nice addition, but 10 years late. Glock makes (very, very) good pistols but they quickly became complacent and made little or no progress for many years. It makes sense to have a longer slide and a smaller receiver for CCW. Not the other way around, as the grip portion is the hardest to conceal (the rest goes inside your pants!).
I just got a Shadow Systems 9mm with a 4.5 inch barrel on a compact frame, with fantastic sights, a good trigger, a proprietarily designed optic cut, hard serrations, stippled grips and interchangeability... for the price of a basic Glock.
@Desert Rat exactly, I run my glocks stock except for sometimes changing my sights or putting on a red dot. I prefer the functionality over a shadow systems that just looks a little cooler and have a slightly better trigger. In a defensive situation, reliability is the most important thing. With OEM mags, glocks basically never jam. I have had them jam with aftermarket mags, which is to be expected.
That's what magazine grip extensions are for. What about a 1911 slide on a glock frame? Now we're really talking crazy. While we're at it mad scientists can take a monkey's upper and put it on a human frame.
I'm issued a Glock 45 as my duty pistol. I did purchase a new Glock 47 last week (Blue Label) and I already own a Gen 5 G19 so I'll play around with these switch-arounds as Lenny just demonstrated. Overall, this is a great idea.
I have a bunch of Glocks too, but my favorite combo right now (since I finally got a G19.5 MOS), is switching the G19x slide with the G19 frame and vice versa. Creates 2 different 2 tone guns. The g19 MOS slide adds more capabilities to my g19x frame, plus it looks amazing
The G47 has a G19 length recoil spring assembly. The G17 does not (it’s longer). This is what allows the cross-compatibility, & explains the difference in dust cover and slide from the G17.
Ok, so like how you can swap slides on the 43 and 48, now you can swap slides in the 47 and 19. Cool. Everyone puts the short upper on the larger lower, but try it the other way around for conceal carry. Short grip/long slide. It’s works. Check your local laws though because serial numbers won’t match.
I have a G17, G19 gen 5 and a G45 so this pistol doesn’t offer me anything that I don’t already have. What I would’ve liked was a mid size 10mm. I own a G20 and a G29 and I had to purchase mag extenders for the G29 in order for it to fit my hand. It still doesn’t feel good enough IMO. A midsize 10mm around the size of a G23 or G19 would’ve been perfect. I would carry a mid size 10mm daily if one was available as 10mm is my favorite caliber.
Oh I didn't know you could take your 17 19 45 mash the parts up and get a long slide compact frame. Oh wait you can't. This is the only way short of aftermarket slides. Maybe you have no desire for a compact grip long slide but some people do.

Next, the Glock " perfection" plastic slide. 85% plastic for $670. 😄 Glock: " We haven't changed since the '80s except a bunch of numbers to confuse customers.
Here's what Glock should do. Sell the "Long slide" G19 as the G49. Then offer slightly discounted pairings for sale. Customers could buy either a G47/G19 pair or a G45/ G49 package. At a $1000 sales price, these packages would fly off the shelves.
Or how about this? Make a Glock AR LIKE EVERYONE’S BEEN BEGGING FOR. How many times must we be resold a G17?? This is why sig is taking over Glock is an embarrassment.
Thats gonna be the g49 apparently. This makes alot if sense of you only have a 45. Then you can make 4 versions. But if you only have a 19 then the 47 makes sense. It's a smart marketing move towards modularity.
What people dont understand with glocks is the 19 isnt just a short 17, now glock is starting to standardize their double stack guns. Now we have to wait till they start doing this to the rest of the line for larger cal versions. also I want a g26 with a light rail.
I can’t wait until this comes out because when it does I want to buy it and it’s going to become my EDC. I know most people wouldn’t conceal carry a full size handgun but I would!

I'm not sure about the polymer MOS plate 🤔 but as noted, most serious Glock owners, SWAT, SOF types get slides milled or they use C&H brand optic plates. I'd add by 2026 or so, I'd guess that Glock USA 🇺🇸 will only have MOS format pistols. Med, large, target models. Rear optics are here to stay. Like 1913 rails or night sights.
Yes so new and fresh. They only invented this gun 40 years ago under the name Glock 17. But yes let’s all pretend like we’ve never seen this gun before because we’re Glock fanboys and we have pea sized brains with cult like personalities
I have never understood the "it has a shorter barrel therefore it is more concealable" thing. Shorter grip means less printing. Longer barrel just means it is a bit further down your pants and is still concealed the same.
I used to think the same thing when I carried 4 o'clock strong side. But when you switch to appendix, too long of a barrel can affect how you sit down. It will start poking you in the dick.
@@SmokesKwazukii Theoretically, maybe, but in practice the difference on the draw is not enough to make a difference, unless you have the "Joker gun" from Batman or something, an inch is not going to change your draw.
@Glockstore: Question, Why would Glock have made the Glock 44 (.22LR) in a frame size that's too big for most children's hands to hold? It would have been the perfect pistol to use in teaching a kid to shoot. I really wish they would have made the 44 in the 42 or 43 frame size. Your thoughts?
A lot of adults use .22 as a training round and with the Glock 19 being the most popular handgun in the US, it would make sense to make a training gun in that size. Also, to your point, If you are training a child, you might as well train them with the size of handgun that they are most likely to get their hands on - Glock 19. Not to mention, manufacturing and marketing a gun directly for children is kinda frowned upon nowadays..
@@glockstore Sadly, that's one of the reasons that we are where we are in this country. Kids were once taught how to shoot(rifles) in public school. Those kids grew up to defend this country. Glock and Apple iPhone have so much in common; they can release the same item every year and It will sell just because of the great quality of their products.
For all the fussing we've done for years about lack of innovation, and yet still loving the product because of what it is to is Glock fanboys… I think Glock may be really onto something in terms of "modularity". If you're not going to make different types of frames available, then at least make all the parts interchangeable. Eventually, you'll be able to buy a Glock à la cart! You pick your frame and slide and just put it together. Or if you have them, mix-and-match to your hearts content based on what you need at any given time. Personally, I think this may be far superior to the way Sig interpreted "modularity". Well done Glock. I think they have a way to go to bring a lot of it together, but I can see it headed in that direction.

NOW, my question is....could you put a Glock 34 upper ( whether just slide and barrel OR complete Glock 34 upper, to include slide, barrel and buffer spring) on the Glock 47 frame?
What Glock needs to do is make all its parts except for barrel and op rod interchangeable no matter what gen.
I've got a G48 and the old lady has the 43x. Same premise. I used to carry her slide on my frame all the time
Next, the Glock " perfection" plastic slide. 85% plastic for $670. 😄
Glock: " We haven't changed since the '80s except a bunch of numbers to confuse customers.
Bingo
Boy oh boy this will be reviewed on the channel
The way he picks it up to start….😂 A treasure…
Observant.
Does no one else see . . .?
@@fjb4932HA! I missed it first time around 😂😂😂
😂😂 that's how I grab a snack at the store when I specifically told myself.. no more junk food.
Nice quick scooping action! Just like grabbing a handful of cake your not supposed to have.
I’ve been carrying the G47 as my duty pistol for the last couple of years and it’s a great firearm in my opinion.
so is the glock 17 lmao
@@SmokesKwazukii difference is, you paid for your 17. I didn’t pay for the 47.
So its using a 19 recoil spring? Making the recoil slightly harsher.
They should have just made the 47 with the 19 bottom and 17 slide
For all the midgets out there with tiny little fingers
Thats gonna be the g49 apparently. This makes alot if sense of you only have a 45. Then you can make 4 versions. But if you only have a 19 then the 47 makes sense. It's a smart marketing move towards modularity.
So bold and revolutionary!
What people dont understand with glocks is the 19 isnt just a short 17, now glock is starting to standardize their double stack guns.
Now we have to wait till they start doing this to the rest of the line for larger cal versions.
also I want a g26 with a light rail.
Will this Glock 47 Frame accept a Glock 34 upper on it as well?
I would rather have my g45 with a threaded barrel. A longer barrel than a g17 without the extra slide length 😁
exactly what I have. this is just dumb. Glock has finally run out of ideas I guess.
I Love This One! Glock 17 (47) Slide On A Glock 19 frame! I Love It.
I can’t wait until this comes out because when it does I want to buy it and it’s going to become my EDC. I know most people wouldn’t conceal carry a full size handgun but I would!
I open carry the Glock 19. I may have to consider getting the Glock 47 slide. I don't need a bigger grip. The 19 accepts the Glock 17 magazines so why get the 17?
The G17 is a terrible CCW
@@youtubeshypocrisy How so?.. I carried it everyday for a year. A G17 Gen5 MOS with a light. I'd keep carrying except I have to justify all the money I've spent on these other handguns by carrying those too..
Just bought the 47 and I really like it! I have a 19 G5 and was about to go out and buy a G45!! Well hold on there! Now I have a 45 and a 47 and a 19! Life is good!!
Bought the same gun 3 times almost be a real man and go buy a beretta or a 1911 45acp
I like that Glock 47 and I like it the way they're making them in the changeable it's about time that's cool I'm glad that Glock is coming up with some good cool stuff
Now I just need a 19 frame with 17 slide released from Glock factory, maybe the Glock 50
Are the slides and frame of the 17 gen 5 and the 47 interchangeable ?
This is a glock 17 that can take some glock 19 parts...
There’s a few people in here that understand what a scam is lol
Glock needs to make a 5.7!!
Wow glock is really being innovative 😂
Yea I’ll keep my Sig. Thanks for the info
It will start poking you in the dick.
just draws faster if its shorter theoretically
@@SmokesKwazukii Theoretically, maybe, but in practice the difference on the draw is not enough to make a difference, unless you have the "Joker gun" from Batman or something, an inch is not going to change your draw.
I'm a Springfield man but I do say I'll be making that purchase.
That looks cheesy and cheap having a plastic plate who would rather have the metal one looks like somebody’s just trying to cut corners to me
I did as a matter fact lol
Who buys a gun with an optics cut and doesn't use an optic? The plate is going to come off anyways who cares
Plus lighter slide weight if leaving the plastic on…
When are they coming out with the left-handed finger groove model? That would be super innovative.
Now kids are taught to dye their hair weird colors and hate everyone else. Thanks for your reply though and I enjoy your channel very much. God Bless and be ready.
I am 84 and would love a 42 in 22lr or 22mag. Like Glocks and there are very few small frame 22’s out there. Love my 42.
But will that plastic plate break when pistol whipping someone?
Thanks Lenny.
You can put any mag in of a longer size in any Glock of the same caliber. So who care about the longer grip for concealment ??? 👀👀🤔
Thanks, Uncle Lenny~
The DREAM-gun realized!
Funny thing...brownells sell that same slide for g19 gen 1-3 in many color for a lot less
Yeah it also fits on the Glock 26 sun compact frame for a really compact accurate firearm Ik what I’m getting for my birthday
How many rounds it carry or it takes the same mags as the 17,19??
I have a Glock 17 Gen 4. It's fine for EDC for me. Why spend more for the same thing. Mine does have the Glock store guide rod, and a trigger job. But it suits me fine.
This gun is a scam
The full grip w the short slide looks like a 19x in black
My favorites are glock 19 and glock 45. 😎
I have a 19 gen 3 I like the 19 length slide but I want a longer barrel but I don’t want a threaded barrel because you have to unthread it every time to remove the barrel from the slide….so I’m going to try to buy a g17 gen 5 barrel because I heard the locking lug nuts thing is the same as the gen 3 and 4 because of the government contracts with the gen 5
So, it's a 45 frame with a 17 slide and a 19 recoil spring? Have I got that correct?
Hey Lenny, when are you getting in the Glock 19 gen 3 survival parts kit back in?
Lenny, I own a Glock 4010 mm are there going to be any changes coming up in any of the 10 mm pistols
Got one over the weekend. Truly the best do all Glock
That would be the G23...
45acp power in a g19 frame.
Looks interesting, I have a Glock 19 gen5 I’ve been thinking of a 17 gen5 maybe I’ll go for the 47…..why did Glock switch from a flat recoil spring system?
Revolutionary!
Have a G17 and Black Betty my G40
But I am confused on the description of the G47
Was going to get a G19 gen5 for my son but need to check this out
Not excited about plastic base plate
The John Wick character would be a satisfied and pleased customer. Optional choices always are a plus.
