This is gonna sound crazy but I actually work at the Maryland zoo and I'm so happy to see someone use one of our habitats as inspiration for a build in planet zoo 🐧
I wish they’d add aviary species to the game. It would be nice to be able to build a bird house or walk through aviary. Also more options to display the exhibit reptiles and amphibians and More of those species too
That and on my end, I was deeply saddened when they added the Australia DLC, but there was no Enemy Wombatants in it! WE NEED WOMBATS, DAMN IT! WOMBATS OR WE RIOT!!!!

And already I've now realized the obvious thing I've missed when trying to place various objects like the sky-bridge objects for climbers in the game and getting it to actually work - that move/rotation tool. I keep forgetting that exists! The landscape in this zoo looks like it's supposed to be based off of Mozambique or Madagascar. I think this habitat is beautiful and incredible as usual for what you do! I think it'd be a bit too tedious and involved for me to do unfortunately, but, maybe I'll surprise myself!
I just stumbled upon this video and have been watching Planet Zoo builds muted for a while...And I saw this and went "Huh, that looks like the Maryland Zoo Penguin Encounter exhibit!". So glad you used this as your inspiration. It makes me want to go back! I have a few friends who work there and have been going to the zoo since I was really young :)
Saame. Those curbs and barriers from Planet Coaster made everything feel so much more immersive and like your builds were more interactive with he peeps. I have really wanted those back for Planet Zoo, since launch. :(
Paulsley also made a re-creation of this habitat from the Maryland zoo. It is so interesting watching everyone’s different interpretations of it. Love this!
By the way i found two bugs in PZ- Polar bear for some reasons is allowed to have Mangrove apple tree! Which is so unusual... because those trees usually are found in tropics. And the other thing is that the Oryx can jump through the walls of it's stall..which is bizarre! Anyhow, i named all my camels in my new zoo -Rudi, and all Bongo's DeLady :)
I was at the maryland zoo today and it is one if the best zoos I have been to. I loved their African Penguin Habitat as well as the education center and this exhibit looks alot like it.
Oh my goodness I never once thought to make live cams for habitats! The inspiration you give me is insane, I could live on your channel eternally and never get bored of these INCREDIBLE builds ❤
This is too realistic and I love it. I think it is inspired from the Maryland Zoo. It's great. my favourite African penguin exhibit in zoos are San Diego Zoo and the Maryland Zoo.
OMG!!!! My game was freezing and crashing whenever I went to the area my underwater feeder was. I never made the connection until you mentioned they cause crashes. I will remove it tonight. Thanks for saving me from throwing my computer out the window! :)

So planet zoo is a brilliant game and one of my faves so far! Hopefully I get as good as you soon!

Oh my goodness i love ur work! And to answer ur question on if seing other peoples work inspires me, yes! Before i used to spend around an hour on every habitat but now i spend minimum 3 hours on every habitat!

@@DeLadysigner I really, really try! I have problem with building buildings. I am not sure what am I doing wrong, sometimes it happens that pieces don't match even if I did not change the grid (and even on plain 4x4 building), gets me so frustrated that I can't even make a nice square building 😅 maybe I don't understand the mechanics of the grid and buildings fully. Your builds are amazing, and they are definitely inspiring! I also watched all of your tutorials ❤
I love your builds and it inspires me so much! The only thing I would recommend is instead of doing your dialogue just at the beginning you can try popping in and out when you have comments about a certain area. For example, you have some interesting things to say about the education center but by the time the speed build got to the education center I forgot all the fun things you had to say! It's much easier to follow along with what you are saying if it aligns with the build. I know you don't like trying to speak for the whole time, but I wonder if you could try popping in and out.
Really cool habitat for African Penguins. Also, I would really love to see them in The Land of the Cold in City Zoo. That will be awesome. But , if you have others plans with them, no worries, important is to look gorgeous♥️♥️🐧🐧

I love this little hut, like an abandoned fishermen's house 😍 do you always check during the build if there is enough space or do you disable the size requirement in sandbox mode?

Really cool habitat. After that my one from Merida is small🤣 For your cool roof lamps idea in the under water section( i gonna steel this😍😁), use some glass pieces between the lamps. You really didnt see them at day if you put them 90% into the roof and makes a better effect.

I honestly mostly just start building somewhere and see where I end up, unless I have a real life habitat I take as inspiration ☺ but I dont really plan my zoos tbh ☺ sometimes in a later stage to see how I am gonna fill up some areas etc ☺
It’s not really the best enclosures but you should sometimes take some inspiration from Toronto Zoo enclosures. They aren’t the best but they’re pretty cool
Sorry if you've answered this before, but where do you look up habitats/zoo buildings to draw inspiration from? Usually Google images just gives me pictures of the animals themselves haha
This is such a beautiful habitat and very inspiring! I am curious as to how big the habitat is? I know it's large but it doesn't feel too big for their size, which I am learning is very difficult to do with these tiny animals! Lol

Do you draw things on paper when you start? Or do you just wing it? Also on a side note, do any zoos in the world actually have those webcams that you can view somewhere? probably not right, cuz then everyone would watch the webcams instead of go there.
Just make pictures and edit with photoshop or anything simulair. You can get the original education signs via this folder most likely ☺ C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Planet Zoo\ProvidedCustomTextures
ive been trying to get better at terraforming but i noticed when using the terrian tool i have two circles where i see you have only one just a bit confused on that lol? i hope that makes sense
Lol ☺ Altho thats definitely different for everyone tho ☺ I think City Zoo has over 400 animals or so if I'm correct ☺ Also Koali Zoo I dare to say has more animals and total guests recently was over 13.000 ☺

This is such a beautiful habitat and very inspiring! I am curious as to how big the habitat is? I know it's large but it doesn't feel too big for their size, which I am learning is very difficult to do with these tiny animals! Lol

Do you draw things on paper when you start? Or do you just wing it? Also on a side note, do any zoos in the world actually have those webcams that you can view somewhere? probably not right, cuz then everyone would watch the webcams instead of go there.

ive been trying to get better at terraforming but i noticed when using the terrian tool i have two circles where i see you have only one just a bit confused on that lol? i hope that makes sense

Just found out that 332 animals (176 of whom are African penguins), 4700+ guests. God knows how many staff...will crash your game. Lol!
Lol ☺ Altho thats definitely different for everyone tho ☺ I think City Zoo has over 400 animals or so if I'm correct ☺ Also Koali Zoo I dare to say has more animals and total guests recently was over 13.000 ☺
