What if you have done some selective color manipulation in lightroom before doing this? Wouldn't that create an issue where you would be getting conflicting measurements? Maybe you set you midtowns cooler or warmer but not the white point/black point or any combination. I am trying to figure out my workflow. What to do in lightroom versus photoshop and in what order. Would love to see you do a full walkthrough on your workflow when editing a photo. basic editing, exposure, color grading, sharpening...

can you make some tutorials like instagram fashion influencers does like vintage , polaroid or disposable camera effects without those camera. You know these days people really like to see those kind of effects like the influencers make on Instagram. On youtube its just someone create a presets but its dosent fit on our photos. We want to recreate those effects using photoshop or lightroom>>>>>>>>>>>> You know what I mean! DISPOSABLE OR VINTAGE OR POLAROID . I WOULD PREFER CREATE DISPOSABLE EFFECTS. ON your youtube playlist there is no tutorial like those. I think it's time to create some unworthy but I think thats what people really want to make or atleast get more closer to those effects. I think your best explanation & technics will help it for sure. Do think about it.

Perhaps a useful tip. While selecting the white or black dropper from the curves adjustment layer, you kan press ALT to highlight the most bright/darkest part of an image. This way you don't have to create identification for the black and white points if you're doing it manually.

This feels much more precise compared to the color cast trick I have been using by sampling the color of the area which should have been close to white, making a solid color layer of it, and set it to divide. Making a few saturation etc. corrections after that. Especially the automatic option, which I did not know it existed, amazed me. Thank you for your great insights into the wonderful world of Photoshop as always.

Damn, this was incredible. It felt like magic, when the black, white and grey-points are set. I was really struggling with a picture of a gray-ish cat and some skintones, shot at a difficult light situation. It is somehow a bit time-consuming, but for difficult situations that cannot be handled in LR it is perfect. You are really a big help for my editing skills with PS. tbh, PS is not that beginner friendly 😑 but your videos are really helpful, as you always explain even the small steps, that are not obvious for beginners.
While explaining every detail, your videos are still not too long for ppl that know most of the basic steps, while beginners can still pause or repeat some steps. Thank you man.

Thank you. Wow you really know Photoshop so well and your videos are really helpful. I have learned so much from your explanations and instructions.

Glad you showed the Manual method. I compared the Automatic to the Manual. I felt like the Manual on my picture was just a little better, BUT when I left both on I had really good skin tones and better contrast and saturation without adjusting further. Go figure.
