It was a long project though, with full time work with a one year didn’t help too.. took me almost a month to finish it but I’m really excited. Thank you for this beautiful project.

I love this. I do macrame all the time in my horse tack business. I made one of these years ago and it lasted a very long time even being outside. I use 6mm macrame cord for a lot of my tack designs. The macrame cord comes in an endless supply of colors too! Beautiful job! I just started a channel myself and it is challenging to get the camera and all the supplies ready to go. Thx for taking the time to make this. Awesome 👍
Tonya Renee awe thank you! The weather is finally turning nice again here and I can’t wait to break this thing out again. We had such a lovely summer laying on the hammock.

I've sold my house so will finally, finally have the funds to follow my dream. The temptation to spend money I cannot afford till closing in 30 days is palpable, but I must maintain a modicum of self control 🙃 Hmmm 🤔 WTH! Self control be damned. On my way to find and purchase materials to create this masterpiece whether I eat between now and closing or not 🤣👍🤣👍🤣👍 Wish me luck 🤞🤞🤞

Great work!! I’m just beginning to learn how to macrame. This is above my skill level but I’m excited to get to the point i can make something this beautiful.
Love This. Newbie to Macrame but me and my crazy self are going to give it a go. I am tying to calculate how much additional rope is needed to make it 12” wider. I’m guessing about 1/3 more of everything?? Or around 800’ more of rope? But I guess I can always buy more if I run short? I have also calculated adding in one more braided piece at the ends so 4 instead of 3; and extra rope for the design area between the two dowels. Just thinking out loud - hoping to get some feedback if you’re not too busy. Have a great day!! 😄
Megan Bell Thanks for replying Megan. Just a curious question: in your video you mention a relative gave you the instructions for this hammock. Can I ask how “vintage” it is? Just wondering. I’ve started and just got to the 2nd dowel. It’s very time consuming with the very very very long ropes. I spend most time trying to keep them all untangled - but I’m not giving up!
What book would you recommend that shows all the knots and patterns? That being said it is hard to tell from the video of just how you are making the knots tieing off to the rod. Maybe you could zoom in more next time.
Hi! Are you able to provide the approximate dimensions? I have a Jeep wrangler so I’m hoping to (attempt) this pattern but modify it to work as Jeep hammocks. I’m just trying to figure out the materials/yardage. Thank you! It’s gorgeous!
I have made this twice now. Once the hammock was too narrow and the second was extremely long. I put 2" between my knots on the second one and when I got to the diamond it was more like 1 inch so it is a little narrower in the middle but it is about 24 feet long and I had to add cord to make the braid. Any suggestions where I went wrong for the third time try? It is beautiful and I am determined to make a good one yet! Thank you.
I'm going to try this to fit an old hammock stand I have. How long is your finished project? Not including the braids connecting the rings and outer dowels.
I am just about done with my hammock only it looks very narrow. I used all the correct supplies and followed the instructions (which were very good, by the way), but will probably need to make another since this was a Birthday gift for my sister and it won't fit her, I'm pretty sure. Can you tell me the approximate measurement between the alternating square knots. I think I was too tight on this. Please advise asap. I would like to make another only this time a usable one. Love the looks, just have to tweak it a bit. Thank you!
Hey Larry! You should have a couple inches between. I felt mine to be a bit on the narrow side as well and actually had to go back and loosen and adjust some of my square knots. You can do that, but it takes some time. Even when I was done, it looked to be narrow but it does stretch quite a bit once you get in it, so don’t be fooled.
@@MeganBell Megan - thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I think I will have to find something to make it wider now because I am already putting the last 1" dowel in place. I think I am too far gone to adjust and will just start over with another hammock. Again thank you!

Amazing hammock, truly inspired by what you've done.Only one question: would you be so kind to clarify total length of cord being used (or explain values in cut list, e.g. 10 144''=xxx metres).I'm from Ukraine and mixed up with the measurements due to different systems. Many thanks for you video and support. Still believe that able to create such a great hammock by myself:)
Hey! Great question! I purchased a spool of cord that measured 2400 feet for this project and I used about 80% of that spool to complete it. I would say to have about 700 meters of cording for this project. You may have a bit left over but not too much. It's quite a project!

Thank you!!
This is pure beauty. I will definitely make one and update here.
I would LOVE that! Please do!
How long did it take to make?
Beautiful I think I’m going to try this as a summer project 💖
Amazing, I just love the video and love even more the vintage hammock.
Obrigada 😊
Great Job, i have a question , do i need „fringe” that you made. its really pretty, but i dont have that much yarn . Do you think that hammock will be secured whitout it ?
Lusia Zac. This fringe is only decoration, so if you do not have enough cord I would skip it.
Thanks so much
hey there! i just started working on this and i am super excited, but i’ve hit a snag... what is a quadruple half hitch? i can’t find a tutorial anywhere and you go
too fast in your video. please help!
It’s a double half hitch twice! You can look that up. Hope that helps
Beautiful work. I'm looking for something more simple
Hello, really beautiful. Can i buy this hammock? Whats the price? Thx
Sorry, no. Not for sale.
@@MeganBell thx 😔
wow i like the instruction to made a Vintage Style Hammock .......
@@MeganBell Many thanks for your support!)
