What about the accent
@@Heenfio It's hard to switch from stress language to tonal language, take your time listen more.
Try to be move your mouth more when you try to pronounce. Make it as riddiculous as much as you can. My accent coach teach this tip.

I’m trying to learn Vietnamese so my mom won’t say I’m stupid.

Xin chào, tôi là người Mỹ gốc Á, sinh viên Việt Nam tại Chùa và tôn giáo của tôi là Phật giáo
I'm a beginner but I'm starting to feel like the tones in Vietnamese are more important than the pronunciation/sound of the character. I notice a lot of differences in pronunciation and as a native English speaker I'm finding I'm having to learn to listen for the tone more to hear the similarities when a word spoken in the same dialect sounds very different when spoken by two different speakers. I find this especially true between male and female speakers. Does this observation make sense? Of course there are pronunciation differences in English as well, even among speakers from the same area, so I'm wondering if I'm just over thinking it as a non native speaker, or if it is a case of tones being more important to meaning than getting the sounds "correct"/"the same".
Hi! Each language has its own characteristics. Vietnamese words don’t have final release like in English like fv sz sh zh ch dg…, the Vietnamese words are defined by tones, the same letter(s) different tones give different meaning while the tones in English is more for intonation. My advice is when you learn Vietnamese you’d better take the Hanoi accent because it is clearer, the pronunciation matches more the spelling. Thank you for your comment.
Vietnamese: Dang Foi Song Hai Nong Ďaing
Makonian: Вадл Будет ли
Cẳm ơn

TYSM im practicing so that I can get good grades😀

vietnamese is hard, such as: the weird symbols on top of the words, like ẹ, ẽ, è, ẻ, é, and normal e. but, they can have "hats", like this: ế, ể, ê, ề, ễ, and ệ. the e with the "hat" is pronuced as "ay". okay.. hmm, hơ do i explain this? okay, the symbols on top/bottom changes the word, but idk how to do it..
in Vietnamese, dont worry..
okay, um, here.
hehe..
If you were wondering if this is real I am Vietnamese and all the words are correct🗿🗿🗿.
