    • @TienNguyen-wv1ys
      @TienNguyen-wv1ys 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Saying chao only is leaving it very hanging. Similar to saying hello to something invisible. Not useful. You should chao someone. I.e add a pronoun of the person you are directing chao to. E.g chao Ong --> hello sir.
      If you simply want to say hello without directing to a pronoun , so that would be less personal. Use xin Chao.
      Always remember if you directly address someone then it will come off as more personable more amicable and relatable. But the less words you use then it will come off as more tersely more cut more rude infact even. Hope this helps.

    This is so fun to watch! And kinda weird to watch because 👉🏻 Like why would a Vietnamese, who knows how to write, read, and speak fluently watch a Vietnamese teaching. This is very well taught though! Natives don’t really say xin chào though. Also, some of the translations were simplified! Overall, this is great and pretty accurate!

    Beautiful video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.

    • @TienNguyen-wv1ys
      @TienNguyen-wv1ys 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are 3 distinct accents being the north , central (hue region) and south. These are accents since the spelling is still the same but the way people pronounce in those regions will be different. The northern is more pure and like the spanish spoken in Spain Europe. The south is more relaxed tone similar to the spanish in the Americas. The middle(hue) accent is so unique and different even vietnamese finds tricky imitate. If you ever study Spanish you probably find that studying the Latino type Spanish is much easier then the spanish spoken in Spain. Thus I find the southern vietnamese accent is the easiest to work with.

    I find that in Vietnam most of the girls do not like calling westerners by older or younger pronouns. I think this has something to do with racism and not being vietnamese.

      I've found that vietnamese people struggle to guess westerners age. It could just be that they don't want to get it wrong.

    Mình là người Việt và mình thấy những cụm này không tự nhiên 1 chút nào. Chưa 1 lúc nào mình hoặc bạn bè mình nói "Tôi đã mang 1 thứ đặc biệt cho bạn" hoặc "xin lỗi, làm ơn thanh toán cho tôi". Cái này nó thuộc về văn hóa và bạn không nên chỉ translate các cụm tiếng anh sang tiếng việt để dạy vì sẽ rất khập khiễng và sound unnatural.

    • @hoanglamvo3518
      @hoanglamvo3518 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mình thấy ổn mà nhỉ? Chắc có lẽ việc dùng "tôi" và "bạn" nghe ko tự nhiên thôi. Nếu đổi thành "tao đã mang 1 thứ đặc biệt cho mày nè" thì nghe ok ổn áp mà. Tương tự với việc đổi chủ ngữ khác thôi "xin lỗi, làm phiền CÔ/BẠN/ANH tính tiền cho em/mình/tôi dc ko"

    • @nganphan1302
      @nganphan1302 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hoanglamvo3518 nó không tự nhiên giống như cách người Việt hay dịch từ tiếng Việt sang tiếng Anh. Bạn có thể tham khảo sơ qua Ngôn Ngữ Học Đối Chiếu để hiểu hơn về chuyện dịch ngôn ngữ này sang ngôn ngữ khác.
      Ví dụ khi thanh toán bạn nói excuse me trong tiếng Anh để thể hiện lịch sự chứ nó không mang nghĩa xin lỗi như trên. Có thể hỏi đường thì có (thi thoảng) nhưng thanh toán thì mình thấy hiếm đấy.
      Hai nữa là những câu này nếu xét kĩ chì là informal thôi thì cách bạn ấy dịch hơi trịnh trọng quá (please: làm ơn). Mình không biết ở địa phương bạn đang sống thì thế nào chứ ở sài gòn mình chưa thấy ai mua đồ hay tặng quà mà nói thế cả.

    • @hoanglamvo3518
      @hoanglamvo3518 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nganphan1302 hmm mình thấy điều này cũng k ảnh hưởng nhiều vì ko thể mong chờ 1 người ko phải bản xứ dùng từ vựng sao cho nghe thật tự nhiên y như người bản xứ, đặc biệt khi vừa mới học thì nên để mọi thứ đơn giản như thế này thôi, dù nó không tự nhiên. Khi họ nói tốt hơn hoặc tiếp xúc đủ với ngôn ngữ và cảm thấy đến lúc phải thật sự chú tâm vào việc giảm độ formal khi nói thì cũng sẽ dễ hơn và từ từ loại bỏ những thứ cảm thấy ít người nói, chứ ở trình độ vừa bắt đầu mà k học theo kiểu dịch word by word thì theo mình khá là khó hiểu do nó ko có 1 cấu trúc cụ thể nào để theo á. Ngay cả "crít ở châu á" hồi lâu có bị bắt bẻ cụm "quốc gia ngoại quốc" chỉ nên nói là "nước ngoài" nhưng khi mình nghe đặt trong 1 câu và kèm theo độ trôi chảy thì mình cũng chẳng nhận ra là nó nghe ko tự nhiên :)). Chắc có lẻ mình k khắc khe về việc tự nhiên hay k tự nhiên lắm

      There are a few dozens of accents/ dialects in Vietnam, the 'northern accent' that you say here includes several dialects, not just this one. No accent is more proper or less proper.

My mom is from Ecuador and growing up I used to always hear her talking down about the Colombians and especially the Peruvians. She would always proudly say that her Spanish, the Castilian Spanish, was the SUPERIOR way to speak Spanish, haha!
