10:40 turns out, dockside is not just a "make 10 treasures" ritual, and a build around card that depends on your opponents playing card types isn't a card that is so broken that it needs to be banned.
I just recently finished the Dimir Zombies deck that Dylan played awhile back and I put Warren Soultrader. It's good to see it getting played very powerful card.
Not really relevant to this video, but wanted to give a tournament update with my Malcolm/Vial Smasher list. Had a good day with the deck. My record in swiss was 3-1-1. In the last round the pod decided to draw since everyone was guaranteed a spot in too 16. My only loss was round three against Nadu in seat 1, Magda in seat 2, and Godo in seat 3. I went for a line on turn 4, but was stopped. Tried again on turn 6, but between Nadu drawing and Magda trying to go off at instant speed I could not get there. Ultimately Magda ended up winning. I ended up losing the top 16 match after fighting against two Rog/Si players and Tevesh/Kraum. I did attempt a win on turn 4, but was stopped by Tevesh/Kraum. I had a line a couple turns later, but did not have the mana. Needed one more turn, but sadly Rog/Si ended up getting there with Necropotence before it got back to me. Overall it was a great day and a lot of fun.
Combat hit with creature power greater than base power. Kutzil existing for Sisay raises Sisay +2/+2, trigger Kutzil's last ability when Sisay dealt combat damage to Cal.
Kutzil says "Whenever one or more creatures you control each with power greater than its base power deals combat damage to a player, draw a card" and Sisay gets +1/+1 for each color among other legendary creatures you control, so the sisay is a 4/4 which is greater than it's base 2/2
Weird question, but why would you ever play Kenrith over Sissay? I get that you can pay 4 mana to draw, and he's reduced by the creature Agatha, but surely that's not enough to beat out Sissay which can win off 1 or 2 permanents and an activation. They both are infinite mana outlets in the Command Zone, but I honestly can't see what Kenrith offers that would put him over Sissay
@@Nmagner223 But Kinnan and Sissay play very similarly. I'm just wondering what Kinnan offers in the Command Zone that Sissay doesn't. Surely a 4 mana draw one isn't enough to give up a Sissay
U mean kenrith right. I agree. I play kenrith, sisay, and najeela. And i recently took my kenritb apart for sisay clam-chowder stlye. Basically u can have a kenrith deck and swap the commander to sisay if u want and it still works. Sisay turns ur free spells on faster and is kore efficient if you ask me. And can pivot much better. But if youre plah stlye is slow and midrange then kenrith is ur answer. He does mich bettwr if u force the game to midrange. But that being said najeela is the best becuz of the pure threat on the board she brings. Hope that helps@zweis
@@horacecampbell8483 Thanks, I think you're right about the mid-range thing but at that point the argument becomes why are you playing Kenrith over Blue Farm 😂 I guess you can win under Rule of Law with Emeil+Dockside. Kenny is the king of "slightly worse version of something else"
Why Najeela take Gitrog out? He would die in his upkeep cause he don´t have 2 green for sumoners pact, right? So swing all to kenrith and close the game in this turn were my choise.
i was expecting more out of Gitrog, while he's powerful he's also hard to pilot because you cannot "shortcut" anything. It's amazing how many creatures have "discard a card" and you DO NOT want any of the sorcery speed "Discard a card" that equipment gives. Najeela proving how powerful combat is, which makes me consider going back to Najeela though i feel i can make Atraxa work.
Pls no, we're tired from this deck showing up every.single.game. Is just Tyler bargaining for 10 minutes and cracking his treasure vault for nothing to don't look like a threat
Love to see more Sisay! Nothing worse than keeping a dockside and the table refuses to drop artifacts all game. Sisay is great at mulluganing low, though! Lots of legendaries that you can shove straight back into the deck because you‘ll tutor for em later anyway :)
cal using death-rite shaman i think couldve been a huge blowout, as gitrog had a potential window to win on the stack with 2 mana. Great to see the frog on the channel for the first time in like 2-3 years
In a casual game, you'll never get to build up warriors for four turns uninterrupted. Someone will wipe the board, undoubtedly. And they'll get blocked a lot more often, too. This is only possible in a stronger meta where decks are focused on combo wins and interaction, and thus not as much on the board. It's playing the board in a meta that has abandoned the board for stronger gameplay - just a very good meta call.
Suggestion: Please get a Gitrog Monster pilot who can properly demonstrate the power of the deck. The showings of this deck on this channel is one of its few black eyes. That deck used to be the most powerful deck in the entire format. It still is powerful and can win games. Great content! Love CEDH. 💪
I love how everyone is trying to do all these fancy plays to do really powerful stuff, and Cal is just using Najeela as Richard Garfield intended.

I love that today's "Begin" was basically the Simpsons couch gag where, after years of escalation, they just sit down normally and nothing happens.

A new Play To Win video is my favorite part of my Sunday morning
The laugh after Cam gained 5 life with Kenrith was 😂
Algorithm 👍
The panic lifegain from Kenrith; incredible, haha. Well played guys!
Najeela is my favorite deck EVER! awesome to see old school damage win a game

Love waking up to new videos on Sunday! Love you guys!🔥❤️
I literally JUST built a Gitrog deck for the hell of it earlier today and now I see this video, tremendous
He just punched to win, funniest thing I've ever seen.
This is how I remember najeela working two years ago, haven’t seen that in a little while
1:03 Somehow this begin is more startling as the rest

Awwww hell yeah perfect start to a Sunday.
sick to see a game where combat damage mattered so much!
10:00 i thought blocking najeela warrior tokens on a lethal attack was a "spite play" xD
Oh Dylans playmat is sweeeet how do I get one??
Dylan and Tyler were spending so much time battling each other they seemed to forget that Najeela is the threat.
I love that a cedh game can be won by essentially honest magic
GG ❤❤❤ Nice to see Cal again!
Interested to know why Dylan drew off of Kutzil's ability @9:43
Combat hit with creature power greater than base power. Kutzil existing for Sisay raises Sisay +2/+2, trigger Kutzil's last ability when Sisay dealt combat damage to Cal.
Kutzil draws cards when creatures with power greater than their base power deal damage to a player, Sisay is boosted based on other legends in play
Kutzil says "Whenever one or more creatures you control each with power greater than its base power deals combat damage to a player, draw a card" and Sisay gets +1/+1 for each color among other legendary creatures you control, so the sisay is a 4/4 which is greater than it's base 2/2

I think there's a lot to be said for playing decks that suit personal play style. For example in grixis turbo compared to control

Unless I missed something earlier, Cal has a Mox Opal when Haywire Mite trigger gets redirected? Did it become a creature somehow?

Gitrog was my first cEDH deck and I know its kinda mid but I always love seeing it!
The bird token reminds me of NES Godzilla and now I don't feel safe...

Dylan have you considered the Sisay build with the pod-like kiki lines involving Vivien on the hunt?
I have, but I think it’s too many dead cards
Cal looks like Cams older brother who got Cam into mtg lol
wait Cal left PWP? I haven't watched them in a while but he was always my faovurite.
a great video would be if you played with the "best" decks from each year's meta. or all had decks from a certain year as a kinda throwback episode
I love Tyler on kinnan but nice to see a different deck lol
Cam with the " I don't know what the blue steel is" killed me so good 🤣
I love najeela for similar reasons I love jetmir. Go to face beating
So why did Cal take out Tyler? Wasn't he about to die to the summoner's pact?

Why did Tyler take Samut? Anyone?
Not an expert on the deck but it’s a very powerful card draw engine for Najeela, and it’ll allow Tyler to draw one card when it’s cast
