I don’t have any books yet but I want the Whimsical Stitches, hooked on amigurumi, crochet cafe and granny square books. I’ve only been crocheting for a couple of months but I absolutely love it!

Neat! They are such great patterns. Since uploading that video, I've actually made the cat and dog in the pattern book for Christmas gifts. Sadly I lost the video footage I took of them and they are off to new homes. The unicorn is probably next on my to make list from that book. :)
I have only one book that could be classified as amigurumi: My Crochet Doll by Isabelle Kessdjian, and I have not made anything out of it - yet! Like you I have a million amigurumi books on my Amazon wishlist. Thank you for sharing your collection.
Is that the one where the patterns are primarily in charts? I know there is a crochet doll book that I haven't purchased solely because it's in charts and not English. 🤣🤣
@@GuinspiredCrochet No the patterns are written out. I hear ya about charts though; I'm getting to like them better as I'm working on a mosaic crochet blanket. I have the charts AND the written instructions side by side.

I only have 1 amigarumi book. My cousin wants the hardest thing to make in the book for Christmas. I've made the big pieces but I was wondering if it's easier to attach the smaller pieces as you go or should I wait until the end when I have all the pieces made? Please any advice will be super helpful.
Which book is it? And what pattern? I'm curious. My thought is to wait until the end or until all your pieces are stuffed and finished off. If you add before stuffing things can shift and not give you the result you want.
@@jayparadis6326 oh wow! Yah I'd definitely wait until the end to put the pieces on. Especially with it being a pokemon, you want it to look just right. Use pins and readjust. What I've been trying is pinning and then using a small amount of hot glue to hold the piece in place while sewing. Its not perfect but it's working better.

I have crochet Cafe and I dipped my toes in by making one popcorn. It's really cute. I used 4 wght yarn which made it about 2 in.
Oof that's a big popcorn! 😆 Maybe I will need to just suck it up and use a lightweight yarn for best sizing.
I have the crochet cafe but whimsical stitches is on my wishlist for next book to get maybe for birthday in May.
