    Are you Crypto Mining from Home? If so, what creative method did you come up with to handle the heat and noise?

      I my self don't have the money for mining at this point....once I do ?
      underground Concrete seller maintains it own temp year around you may need to add a little help for that, and notice it's below grown you may not hear it very much

      Start with repasting the chips - pink/dry paste deserves a redo; the temps will hold better for sure

    Great video, but I have to disagree with the idea of submerging ASIC miners in oil as they aren't really designed for that. The thermal paste used in most ASICs, including Bitmain’s models, is specifically made for air cooling. That’s why Bitmain released a dedicated immersion cooling model.
    Using traditional air-cooled ASICs in immersion setups can lead to inefficiencies and problems over time. It's just not cost-effective and can be a waste of money and ROI. If you're serious about immersion cooling, it's better to invest in machines that are actually built for it

    @jrosesftv 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    And that's why I don't do asic immersion. After I built a water cooled gaming pc I had enough with the immersion. No thank,. in the end it costs more.

    You had an airlock after draining the old oil. Should have a release valve.

    chips degrade over time due to voltage. increasing the voltage on a chip will increase degradation, power and heat.

    Kinda useless to buy those expensive immersion setups if you can not even take advantage of the extreme cooling capability and overclock your miners 👎🏾

    whats better than having nicehash quickly switching for most profits, selling compute power and getting BTC? thats what i think, tho i am a newbie here in mining, please correct if i'm wrong, looking forward for a comparison video, cheers

    I’m currently using braiins os on my 2 s9 i have one reduced power and the other i brought to work (auto technician) and that one sits on my box and will keep me warm in the winter time. I have an idea to use some of the heat from mining and using air to liquid method with a liquid to liquid heat exchanger to dump the heat in the pool. I know i could use air conditioning to dump heat into the pool with a special heat exchanger. Could be a fun project. Its just an idea for now. I have a pool heater.

    Is your pump variable? You can increase the fluid flow to help. Everything has a limit, slugging chips with too much voltage will always cause failures eventually.

    I think you can place a plastic bottle just filled with the any liquid to make up for the volumes just make sure plastic can hold up to immersion fluid. And keep one unit running this way. Just a thought. I have c6 tank and I was running only 2 ASICS to begin with until I got others in.

    lol oil everywhere thats funny right there I dont care who you are thats funny. Its too late now but I wonder if it would have been a good ideat to replace all the thermal paste on both miners before restoring them to the oil bath. Maybe the oil is breaking down the paste and thats what causing the chips to go bad possibly user thermal pads instead of paste?

    • @TheHobbyistMiner
      @TheHobbyistMiner  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That I do not know. I did connect with other larger scale immersion miners. They don't get concerned about the thermal paste replacement because in oil you don't have to worry as much about thermal paste like we do with air cooling.
