    Matthew. Just so you know ( good job ). I just installed a 36K and learned that I needed to remove the cover only after I had completed the install. I had seen your video and wished I had seen your video before mounting to the wall. I contacted Pioneer tech support and they told me they could email me a video. I recived the email from Pioneer and it's this video. First they should put a big warning sticker suggesting pre-installing a wifi adapter AND they should reward you in some way for your posting. It was a pain, as you suggest but I got it finally done. Thank you for the posting.

    Heads up if you got a Diamante with a small white USB thumb-drive-looking thing; just lift the front panel, look up, and plug it in. No screw removal needed. This video helped me realize this one is different though. Thank you for posting.

    Thanks for doing this, I think you are right in that it is the only one. Just a suggestion... I notice Amazon has a kit that allows you to mount an iPhone to a head strap or a chest strap. So for $20 you can have your other hand back. :)

    I held off for over a year waiting to install my Wi-Fi because I watch this video and thought I had to take the whole thing apart. My Diamanté Pro only requires taking the cover off the electrical connections, sliding out the circuit board and plug in the Wi-Fi board and then, wrapping the wires and screwing the Wi-Fi module onto the cover. Simpler! My WYS models simply plug into a USB port. Those are sweet.

    Well, Maybe I’m crazy but I just purchased a mini split just like this MODELWT012ALFI19HLE and it appears you can plug the Wi-Fi modulator in without taking the cover off. Shouldn’t take any more than a pair of needle nose pliers to plug in.

    Have the same mini-split and module. Was surprised to see you mount it to the lid. It's made to mount to the body of the mini-split. It mounts just to the left of the barcode sticker. If you use the mounting holes there it sits flush, the line is the perfect length, and the WIFI chip is oriented forward in the correct direction. I'm guessing what you did works, but the line is short and the wifi range is probably reduced. Mine also came with the screw.

    • @matthewdittman
      @matthewdittman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know if they changed the design, but mine couldn't go anywhere except for the lid. You can see an outlined form that perfectly seats the module around it. I'm glad they made it the way you have, it's mind of a pain to have the wires restricting the movement of the lid.

    • @PPGJeremy
      @PPGJeremy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@matthewdittman the design didn't change. You have the fastening location just to the left of your barcode. There is a tab hole and a screw hole right there that it goes in.
