    This is how it feels to live with anxiety. this is exactly the type of thing your brain will tell you is good. and, of course, you listen for no other reason than you're scared.
    As someone with severe anxiety, this is wildly motivational. It now seems abundantly clear how ridiculous all of this stuff seems when said out loud. Great stuff, man.

    • @benmarsden7655
      @benmarsden7655 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I also suffer from severe anxiety and the most valuable thing I've found is to constantly push your own boundaries. Walk a little further, engage in extra conversation, whatever it may be. Your progress may appear easy to everyone else but is actually extremely important and valuable, as by slowly overcoming anxieties you're also training your brain to be open to trying new things.

      Yeah, but the point is: don't stay in your comfort zone. Over time, we ended up adapting to what we usually do, when we could do much more and enjoy much more. And I don't just mean monetarily, it could be doing something different like traveling.

  • @megacrashthehedgehog5377
    @megacrashthehedgehog5377 ปีที่แล้ว +44

    I half agree with this. It's very much good to step out of your comfort zone. Open yourself up to new experiences and don't let fear stop you from achieving the things you know you want. Be more open minded to things in life. Challenge yourself and see where your new choices take you. Open yourself up to others and don't be afraid to take risks. It's ok to be scared, just don't let it prevent you from doing the things that you love, that you're passionate about, and make you happy. Sometimes you just gotta take a leap of faith.
    At the same time, don't put too much pressure on yourself. Set realistic expectations. Just because you don't become the next big thing doesn't mean you're bad or you're not worthy of loving. Be kind to yourself while also pushing yourself. Don't beat yourself up because you couldn't make it as far as others have. What matters is that you took the risk at all and put in your best. It's also important to not overwork yourself to the point of burnout. Otherwise, you'll end up right back where you started. It's ok to rest as long as you're not giving up.

"How to waste your life - as a millionaire" might be a better title for this. Comparison is the thing that drives these guys. This video ignores the people who are inherently disabled, the same people who cannot 'work hard enough' like a normal person to be in to top.
    There is nothing wrong with being 'mediciore' as long as you are happy and does not make other people's lives miserable.

    I feel sarcastic videos like this are just a clever way to pop out amidst all other self improvement videos while still having the exact same old message.
    While I agree with most of it as it is just common sense, the main problem is that only living for the future is just another way of wasting your life in my opinion.
    If you're only doing stuff for 'later' you will never arrive at that distant scenario of reward because even then, you won't be in the present to enjoy it.
    My take would be to look for the middle route.

    Thanks for these videos Zach. I'm 14 and they inspired me to start actually utilizing my time while I'm still young, this one hits hard to me because this is something I've been depressed about for some time thinking I didn't enjoy my early teens and even when I was a kid. I feel like I barely did do anything producting and/or useful ever since the start of the pandemic. But now I've gone back to Duolingo to finally start consistently studying german to learn another language which is something I've been trying ever since I was 13 back in 2021 but I was lazy and always stopped my streak, but now I'm trying to promise myself to consistently study it and learn, and I'm seeking to do way more this year, hopefully. Again, thanks so much and good luck on your journey too man :D.
