    own one, with 16 inch wheels - only thing that bothers me is that there's no suspension upgrade for more comfort. otherwise it's an excellent daily driver.

      @@isenautomotive339 and on top of that, my best consumption at the pump was 3.37 l/100 km. i've been averaging around 18.000 km below the 3.8 l/100 km declared by Toyota. mindblowing.

      @@gogutzy Strange to convince others that this is a mid-sized petrol car with such numbers, right? The overall performance of the Auris is just great and within this price range no other car comes close I would say.

    Nice! I have the same car in Touring Sport version. The “B” ( engine breaking) should only be used when going realy downhill, and you do not have to push the “P” button because If you turn off the enigine it is automaticaly engaged.

    • @isenautomotive339

      Thank you for your comment! Absolutely true, downhill it’s a great assistance for saving break pads:)
      And regarding the P button, true as well. I was following the correct process in the video 😄

    Hey there, I have the same car and it makes a whining noise when breaking at low speed or when IC engine is running. I was wondering if others make it too. Does this car makes that sound? I guess I can hear it briefly at 5:13 when you are breaking at low speed. Is this noise normal?

    • @HFilip11
      @HFilip11 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My auris makes all kinds of similar sounds, it's the regen braking if I'm not mistaken. To me it's a similar sound to a tram or metro train accelerating or braking.

    • @frkkn026
      @frkkn026 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HFilip11 I had bought my car a few months back when I commented this, but yes, I got used to all these different sounds hybrid car is making.

    • @jmcampbell
      @jmcampbell 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the Touring Sports version. That whine is normal. At 2:17 you can hear it as it’s the electric motor (Motor - Generator 2) propelling the car with the power of the engine. This third generation hybrid transmission is absolutely reliable, theres no gear shifts as the engine and the two electric motors are physically geared together.

    Don't put it on B position during high speed, B position is to severe down hill, works as a engine breaking

    What do you think about this car for highway travel? Mostly mid-distance journeys (50km) and eventually some 500km+. Is it better than a diesel engine?

    • @isenautomotive339
      @isenautomotive339  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you for your comment! I have driven this car for some time on short, mid-distance and long-distance journeys. As it isn't a performance car, I can honestly say it is very comfortable and along with cruise control and the automatic transmission it is a joy to drive. The only advantage a diesel version would have over this one is the torque. Nonetheless, the 1.8 petrol engine is smooth and able to accelarate pretty well. I'd advise a test drive for you to get convinced if you are considering buying one! :)
