Quick question, in order to just change the generator brushes, can I just loosen the generator strap and also remove the 4 bolts of the assembly and turn the generator unit to gain an easy access to the bottom brush? Thank You, great video!!!
you rotated the gen 90 degrees clockwise when you installed it compared to the original gen, see earlier removal vids. This means the vent is now 90 degrees off of where it originally was. It was pointed to the right, now it is pointed down. This begs the question, which way is it supposed to be, right or down?
@6d4vdub hiya do u have to put any spacers in between the back pulley before u put the woodfuff key as my back pully is rubbing on the dynamo? hope u can help me pls thanks simon

No you dont need to loosen the whole fan housing.
It is much easier if you have a 10mm ratcheting box wrench.

I believe it is supposed to be down and that the old install was wrong.
