Love ya videos Mate. Keep em coming. Can you help with two pieces of advice? Could you possibly do a vid on your drying out props and how you made them and how you set them up? And, how do you get away with sneaking away from home. My boss wouldn’t stand for it. Ta.
Thank you very much for sharing your journey with us. Our whole family has watched it from the start. We have learned a lot and you have inspired us to hopefully do the same trip in our own boat one day.
Brilliant! So pleased to see you made the epic journey back from Cairns to Brisbane. Great effort especially single handed. The stuff you took off the boat looks very minimalistic to me, I usually had several trolley loads of cruising stuff. 3 autohelms seems a bit excessive but they're so valuable when cruising. I've enjoyed your vids very much, especially seeing places I've been. Thank you Simon for sharing. I'm already looking forward to your next trip!
Welcome home Simon. Love the videos. Glad your home safe. I watched your video on our fist day of 3 days locked down but hope to see you out in Moreton bay sometime and shout you a beer or two.
Nice trip you had there Simon, thanks for the videos, I learn something from every one. We thought the same as you that those blooms were coral spawn or even cruise ship holding tank washouts but they are actually Trichodesmium and they do smell a bit. Very good on your garden if you could only collect it. I wish you had never called Catamarans, Catamarangs. We can't call them anything else now. Looking forward to your Bay trip. Might see you out there.
@@simoncarteroz I just wanted to know that you are well and it sounds like you will be back on your boat soon again. I am going to do a new vlog on hervey bay when this weather clears up. in the next 6 weeks I will have a new drone so i can do areials with. have got my new cam working fine and new phone so i have nearly got all my camera gear together. you will be getting a vlog post from me soon. Gerard.
Great trip Simon, l am sure anyone else contemplating a trip along the coast in a trailer sailer will be very happy to find this series on TH-cam ...Thankyou
It depends on the situation at the time. not everyone has $15,000 on them and it takes time to save that up. I had $9,000 when i bought my boat and a little left over for the rego and insurance. There are a few things i need to do and now i will have my new ation cam i can do a couple of projects. Happy birthday, merry christmas and more sailing trips in the new year. Gerard.
What a great adventure! An other one.. I would love to know more about the centerboard/keel issue. I hope it is not too much of a headache. I seem to remember you had a bit an issue with it when you bought her.
All can say is thanks for taking us along. I tried to donate but the system seemed a bit cumbersome. I think you should look into that. All the best from Japan. Gary
Hi Gary,. I'm at the moment in lockdown in not a bad place Paradise Point on the Gold Coast. l motored my boat down here from Brisbane 10 hours so my wife drive her car down 1 hour the boat at anchor. we use it like a caravan walks in to the caff. For a nice coffee and 🍰 good views looking at boat's. Now in lockdown walks coffee on the boat not the same but not complaining! Heading off north after the 13 July after Nicole's graduation Safe sailing regards Simon 😉
Simon. Do you have some sort of plans or thoughts about sailing in Tasmania. I've spent a lot of time on google earth dreaming and skeeming about sailing around Tassie. I reckon sailing up the rivers and harbours on the West coast would be FAN,,,TASTIC!!!! I reckon you would need plenty of time to hide in protected anchorages to wait out bad weather.
Hi Simon I have really enjoyed watching you videos on this northern trip You mentioned you are going to do some work on the keel Would you like to bring the hydraulic cylinder to me so I can check it for you ? David
Ah, Simon, going to miss you while the sailing season has ended. Time to recharge your batteries. I am sure the wife is glad to see you home. Wish you the best. do you leave the panels attached to the life lines during the off season? do you take the o/b home also? Will miss you mate.
