Great sign off for 2022 old mate. Plenty of jobs for you between now and April at home I am sure as well as a bit of a hull polish and general maintenance. Yes that new road along the river is damn noisy … Brisbane has become a bustling metropolis now and bloody units everywhere causing a change in population numbers in suburbs around there and Newstead as well as New Farm. Anyhow Simon all the very best for Xmas to you and your family. Enjoy and stay well!
Have a lovely Christmas Carter Clan. I can't wait to see Stratos again. We've decided to sell Compass H28 we got a year ago. I should have gone trailer sailer but got side tracked by Clarity II's lovely polished wood! All the best for the NY travels
As always I enjoy your videos. Look forward to watching your next adventure. Your trips around Moreton Bay have been very informative for me and I'll be re tracing some of them in my Sonata 26 soon.
Hey Simon 👋 Glad to see you home mate! Thanks for that awesome adventure feels like I have been there with you every step of the way! Just want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy new year 🍾 thanks for the chats over your passage hopefully catch up with you in the new year. All the best mate to you and your family
Dave, Happy Christmas and New Year . I am off to my sister inlaws for new years eve Christmas and to my sister for Christmas. I hope I can control my Intake of SUGAR Booze is not a problem. I hope you have a nice festive season Safe sailing regards Simon
Looking forward to your next trip Simon, you are an inspiration to us oldies not able to sail anymore, you will find the Adelaide to Perth leg interesting, lots of wild life last time I crossed some years ago now though
Simon. The end of another great trip. I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year. I've been wondering what happened to Stratos. Do you plan to sail around Australia in one go, or separate legs and come home in between. I wish I could hurry up and finish my F22. I want to sail it around Australia too, but I'm thinking of going the other way around. I'm thinking maybe leave about Easter time, Bris to Darwin- 3-4 months, put the boat in storage, come home. The next year Darwin to Perth- 3-4 months. The next year Perth to Tas. 3 months. The next year A month in Tas, then a couple of months back to Brisbane. Unfortunately I wouldn't have enough L.S. Leave to do this, even at half pay. Just have to figure out a way to do it.
Hi Simon I have recently discovered your videos so thank you. I've also recently bought a Clubman 8 with no fridge or solar set ups. You seem to have a temporary solar set up on your Noelex that I would be very interested to copy but I'm not sure how it is suspended/propped up. Just wondering if you might have any details as to how large it is and how it is held up/secured and if you think it is successful. Thanks and best wishes for the current trip in your smaller boat. You are game to be heading south this time of year! Brrrrr!
Hey Simon, How's your New Year going? Any Nautical adventures lately? Just wondering, have you or any of your followers had any experience blowing tyres on boat trailers? I've blown all three on the Careel 18 trailer since just before Christmas. 1st on the way to mum n dad's at Imble, 2nd heading heading to Southport on NYD night and 3rd heading back to Chinchilla on Sunday. They were all about 8-9 YO. They have done 2 trips to Sydney, 2 to 1770, 1 to Whitsundays, 4 or 5 to Urangan, several trips to Lake Cootharaba and Brisbane. The local tyre shop says once there over 5 YO, they are living on borrowed time. I think I'm going to put it down to them being well past their used by date and they all decided to give up at almoust the same time. The spare which blew in Sunday had never been used before and probabily only did 400km before it blew. I have 3 new tyres now, with a load rating of 600kg. Hopefully I'll be done with this problem for a few years now, however if I blow another, apparently there is another tyre I could try with 700kg load rating - about $20 more expensive apparently.
lan l have arrived at the lakes are sleeping opposite Aldi to night came down Alpine Road lots of bends ! planning to launch tomorrow need to find a map of the waterways. Would love some where to put the trailer email me on simoncarteroz@gmail.com l give you my phone number. Safe sailing regards Simon

Are your plans still for April Simon ? We have a block of land at the Gippsland Lakes for your trailer if that suits.
