As a musician (bass player) for over 60 years, IMHO I think Gary Moore it the greatest guitar player that ever lived and I consider this to be the greatest guitar performance ever recorded. And I've heard many of the GREATS live - Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Jeff Beck, Ted Nugent and many more but none of them are his equal.
Sunt fan David Gimoure dar asta este alta dmensiune. Muzica celor de la pink floyd nu poate fi egalata dupa parerea mea, dar Gary Moore e the best. Sunt sigur acum
Greatest. Period. Oh how it sings, weeps, growls, screams, whispers, cries, you name the feeling, it´s there, in his guitar. After Gary, there´s a void you just can´t fill.
Can´t watch and listen to this one without eyeswater coming... His tone, feeling, technique!! No singer needed, the guitar brings the mood! And yes sir, in my book he is one of the best ever - totally unique in his own style. Thank you for this, Stan! RIP Master 😍
The guitarists you've named are truly GuitarKings: Gary Moore is the KING of all Kings; il capo di tutti Capi; The best guitar player ever lived! RIP Gary.
When EVH was asked who was the guitarist he most admired.. without hesitation he said "Gary Moore." There is also a great duet featuring Gary and BB King playing "The Thrill is Gone."
Gary Moore was a member of Thin Lizzy..back in my day We had StevieRay.. Ireland had Gary Moore.. The man is legend ...Check out Gary's cover of Red House..Live.. 🔥🔥
good reaction~ Listen to Gerry moore's 1987 empty Rooms during Stockholm Live. You'll see that it's a masterpiece. And he's actually known as a great master in Europe and Asia
Gary Moore's guitar, Greeny, is a legend too. Greeny is a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, named after its original owner, Peter Green. He used it during his time in John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac, before selling it to Gary Moore in the early 1970s. Moore used the guitar throughout his career, both as a solo artist and in bands, such as Thin Lizzy. Due to financial troubles, he was forced to sell it in 2006, after which it passed through several private collectors and guitar dealers. In 2014, Greeny was acquired by Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett apparently for around $2 million dollars and has since been used it both in the studio and during live Metallica performances.
My biggest influence as a (semi-pro) guitarist. For that glorious tone, and the amount of feeling he could inject into his solos, whether simple or complex. But I could not hope to get anywhere close to his amazing technique. A huge loss.
Not included in Rolling Stone 250 greatest guitarist list. Kurt Cobain is....LMAO. What a complete joke. Gary Moore should have made the top 5. Saw him loads of times live. In my opinion as a guitarist and musican, he was the best. Most versatile player ever.
Gary is playing Greeny in this clip - it's a Les paul he got from Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac. Kirk Hammett of Metallica recently bought it for a reputed $2,000,000.
Gary was so versatile rock ,Jazz and blues ..he played with BB King ( the frill is gone ) live and amazing and with many many more musicians ( Thin Lizzy) BEING THE MOST WELL KNOWN ,i loved Gary doing the Blues .he understood the Blues deeply .
Gary was a great one.I loved him when he was in Thin Lizy. For another great guitarist, try Frank Marino doing It's Begun To Rain, from Live at the Agora concert, you might like that .
I love gary moore starting playing guitar 30 years ago and still find his stuff challenging if you liked this check out Rory Gallagher he was amazing wether it was acoustic or electric
You forgot to mention Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple amongst the greats, but kudos for discovering Gary Moore. Like any great, the live versions of any of his songs are always better. Check out 'Still Got the Blues' or a live video he did with BB King and Albert Collins. Gary started as a hard rock guitarist with Thin Lizzy before becoming a solo artist as a 'guitarist's guitarist', capped off by an amazing reign as 'King of the Blues' before sadly leaving us too early. Current Deep Purple keyboard maestro Don Airey performed with him in this video, and Deep Purple drum wizard Ian Paice used to play with him with nothing but praise.
If you want to hear another incredible guitarist, you should react to "Joe Satriani". He is the most successful solo guitarist ever. A good song to start with is "Flying in a blue dream", the live in san Francisco version. He was the reason I started playing guitar 30 years ago.
Satriani, is one of the guitar gods for sure, i think most master guitarists appreciate all the different sounds and skills they possess, you can learn a lot from these players. Frank Marino is one of my favourites to. Very underated, but as skillful as the master classers.! Check it out: th-cam.com/video/4jUKJst-rUA/w-d-xo.html
I'm a big fan of Gary Moore's song Parisienne Walkways. There's a 14 yr old guitar prodigy Taj Farrant that says Gary Moore is his favorite guitar player. When he plays, he sounds like he's embodying Gary Moore and Stevie Ray Vaughn. He's released 2 songs, Crossroads and Cruz, that debuted #1 on the iTunes blues charts. You should check him out. His live performances are incredible.
I'd like to suggest you now react to another amazing guitarist whom Gary counted as a friend and looked up to-the legendary Rory Gallagher. There are so many great FB videos of Rory, but I'd say a place to start would be the very bluesy "Calling Card" played 1977 at the Hammersmith Odeon. Rory was a multi-instrumentalist who played many different types of blues, rock and a bit of anything else that caught his interest. Gary once said of Rory " We all knew how good he was. He had a real charisma and presence about him on stage". Please check out Rory!
I agree, difference being Gary had much more ''deeper'' emotion, any lyrics wouldn't have done this instrumental any justice, the guitar did it all, and sounded ALL the diifferent emotions.!!
Thin Lizzy - "Don't Believe a Word" - th-cam.com/video/QtmITITA6WM/w-d-xo.html and "Still in Love with You" 1974 - th-cam.com/video/5Ji6G7RotzM/w-d-xo.html - So Beautiful..
We all know the alleged story about his Gibson, I hope, so, try and find another great blues guitarist Peter Green from the original Fleetwood Mac - we're talking late 60's
You didnt. Because he is a forgotten guitarist. But those who grew up with him, like myself, they know. He was also a very talented composer and singer.
For my money, one of the two greatest live guitar performances I've ever heard. The other? Paul Gilbert with the all-star Beatles tribute band, Yellow Matter Custard, doing While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Terrible videography but amazing performance. th-cam.com/video/OWliruQZ9Bk/w-d-xo.html
THE best, ever…and Rolling Stone, which lost its credibility decades ago, didn’t have Gary Moore on the top 250 guitarists of all time….the list itself is HILARIOUSLY BAD…like 40% were out on simply for being female or not white

I totally agree, Gary had everything and some.
my favorite guitar player. Hey Rolling Stone......look and learn !!!
Ronnie Peterson ai dreptate ❤Gary Moore merita sa fie pe locul 1 pe lista celor mai buni chitaristi din lume Ptr Mine Gary Moore Este un Geniu

R.I.P Gary, You're still the Best...🙏💯💔
The guitarists you've named are truly GuitarKings: Gary Moore is the KING of all Kings; il capo di tutti Capi; The best guitar player ever lived! RIP Gary.
I knew about him when I lived in Europe and I loved the Still Got the Blues but I had not listened to this solo, It's incredible....♥
Most emotional guitar player ever.
What is quite incredible is that Gary Moore was left-handed.
Gary moore a irish guitar legend
Wow, Wow 🤯 I was taking a journey with his music 🎶🎶🎶 . That was 🔥🔥🔥. I never heard of him before. But I will check out more. ☮️
good reaction~ Listen to Gerry moore's 1987 empty Rooms during Stockholm Live. You'll see that it's a masterpiece. And he's actually known as a great master in Europe and Asia
Or the loner from the same concert

This is a very special piece, sheer
stooooopidty of a guitar part.RIP Gary.
Check him out with his Thin Lizzy connections.RIP Phil.
I recommend that you check out 'Still Got the Blues' by Gary Moore, in case you haven't already done it.
My biggest influence as a (semi-pro) guitarist. For that glorious tone, and the amount of feeling he could inject into his solos, whether simple or complex. But I could not hope to get anywhere close to his amazing technique. A huge loss.
Gary was the real deal
Nice rabbit hole of good music
No one who ever watches this should ever wonder about Gary. He's Paganini on Guitar.
Astonishing.
Without doubt one of the greatest guitarists ever.
Now play the original by it's writer, Mr. Roy Buchanan, a VASTLY underrated musician.
I recommend Gary moore playing " Parisienne walkways" Live !!!!

Rolling Stone is a fine lifestyle magazine, but they should stay away from music, because in that area they're completely clueless. ^^
Gary's Paresian Walkways another classic from the same show I think, also Still got the Blues , he sings as well by the way in these.
Gary is playing Greeny in this clip - it's a Les paul he got from Peter Green of
Fleetwood Mac. Kirk Hammett of Metallica recently bought it for a reputed $2,000,000.
Robert, watch Howard Stern's interview with Metallica, Kirk claims he didn't pay 2 million....??

Check some of his Jimmy Hendrix covers absolutely brilliant. Gary was the guitar so much emotion pours through

Thin Lizzy!
As good as this is I think it had much more emotional impact when Roy played it. Wish I could have seen both Roy and Gary live.

there are not many guitar players that can beat him
Stan take a listen to Joe Bonamassa. ( over the top)

Gary Moore, according to that shite rag called Rolling Stone magazine, is not good enough for their top 250 guitarists of all time.
Nuno Bettencourt get the funk out
