That “stepped triangle” lfo shape is a sample and hold circuit that has a triangle wave routed into it as its voltage source. I would have loved to have that as a jack on the panel, which would have opened up the matriarchs mod capabilities in ways that are difficult to grasp just thinking about it.

yeah, that certainly would have been cool if they included an input for the carrier wave for the s+h. you can use a slew limiter as a makeshift sample+hold (or even an envelope generator that can turn off retrigger) so if you have a slew or maths you can do what you want.

Hi, very nice video - please let me know where you bought these nice triangle shaped mixer / attenuator at 28:45 ("a splex"???) - best with brand - thanks so much

Those are passive mixer/attenuators. You can get them (or something like them) ar most music stores. The brand I use in that video is splix by boredbrain. boredbrainmusic.com/product/splix/

    Another fascinating video. Thank you!
Might just be me but the sounds at 46:15 or so are heading into Rhodes / EP/ Wurli territory... I may have to explore!

you’re right. it does sound kind of like a Rhodes with the tremolo. good catch
