Hey Kage good to see you built the utility cabinet that should stop zombies from spawning in the house, so u might not need it for the decay but for that simple reason u dont come home to a zombie inside your base its good to have :) and for the stress if u dont have a bed or time to sleep cigarettes or canabis will reduce it but u need to have a lighter on you :) and everuthing u have in the utility cabinet can be used on the stove downstairs without you having to pick it up from it, u even had when u opened the stove it show you a dish u could make with the canned herring, ohhh and seing how they tought of sooo many things in this game going around and being dirty might be a bad idea if u get scratched by a zombie chances that u get infected is prolly higher so i would and this is just me thinking here use the sinks to wash myself at any chance i would get ;) :P
Kage, in case no one else has mentioned yet: 1. Shift-click on map to place waypoints! Can name them and add icons too! 2. You can drink/eat over 100% (like 7dtd used to let us do).
Another great video! I started a new run in the same town last night. I’ve found some really good base homes. One is the same style as yours, with the separated garage, but it has a shed and two large planters already built. It’s right by the fire dept and baseball diamond. Also, I noticed the same with scratches, at most I bandage them and even if it says it’s infected it will heal on its own. Also, with your status bars, orange is negative, green is positive. So if you can eat till your bar is a high percentage in the green and you won’t have to eat or drink nearly as often. And if the devs are reading through the comments here, one thing that would be great is having an “DIY” addition to cooking. Like I have a bunch of bread slices and a jar of peanut butter and a jar of jelly, but there’s no way to make a pb&j which should be a given. Something where we can butter bread or make buttered toast or “wing it” on recipes. Even if you just go with some kind of generic “gruel” that gives a slightly higher amount of satiety than the uncooked components.
Hey Kage, Mouse over the top of a window to get the option to set how high the blinds go to keep Zombros from spotting you. Even if they're outside, Zombros won't beat their way in, unless you make a lot of noise, or they can see you thru the window. This is why they can be found beating their way into homes with the EAS Alert playing on TVs. --- Also, there's an option to turn on ALL status bars, in case you want to see everything, even if it's 0%. --- The Utility cabinet is super useful, and iirc, also puts an icon on your map??? 🤔 I remember the looting system as: °A Check mark ✅ means I've checked the box. °An empty box is an empty box. °No icon is an unlooted box. --- Always loot springs, you need 10, some cloth scraps, and a stapler to make a mattress. Much easier than dragging one. 😂 --- Zombie claws are bladed, but sometimes they punch instead, which is why you don't get scratched everytime you're hit. The only thing I've seen do a Bite, is animals (wolf, fox, etc.) --- You CAN wash clothing, with OR without detergent. And you can repair your fire axe, along with any other tools or weapons, add a repair bench (which you can craft).
BTW: Phone batteries are those AAA batteries. Idk if they intend to add a lithium batteries in the future, but as of now you can switch by other AAA batteries.
Infection doesn't always mean zombie infection, it can also mean the wound itself is infected so using antibiotics is a good way to combat that. If you use antibiotics and the infections continues to return then you are zombie infected.
If this game is anything like Proj. Zomboid and you intend to play long term, my main advice is hoard containers and fill them up with water ASAP. You can do it with the containers you find while looting, just fill em up and leave in spot, this way you can come back later with a vehicle to grab it. In PZ, water pipes stops pumping after some time as well as electricity.
Night of the living dead: It actually plays the movie on TV. You don't really have that much of control over it though as in it will reset every time you change the source (from AV to TV back an forth) and it only have a old-VHS-style-FFW control, it won't remember "here you stopped it". Watching it says it will increse your stress level, but it's actually increasing it backwardly - give it a try and you'll understand what I mean: It goes untill -100% (as in: it's a bad moodle but goes to -100% LOL)
I just found how to mark home base in game today (for the 1st map at least) - I think you click on the map and a circle will pop up then you choose icon to use - I chose CABIN for my home base

@@bobjob2514 yeah rabbits and chickens are great for turning scraps into fertilizer. I have noticed that it does seem that soil quality goes down the more you grow stuff, so I think compost restores that and improves soil quality. I’m currently trying to get 25 lbs of stuff in the composter, seeing if it will accept fresh veggies too or if it has to be moldy or rotten.
Weirdly I am waiting for the opening of those packages at the hype train station like they are going to have everything you need inside.. hopefully they are useful and my hype is not misplaced. Is there an increasing threat like 7dtd? Or too early for you to know. Anyways keen for more episodes!

You destroyed a box that you hadn't searched at 16:43. It was under another box you had just destroyed. You wondered aloud why it hadn't disappeared and proceeded to destroy it. Luckily, it transferred the contents automatically to your inventory.

The level of excitement at finding "Wet cat food" was legendary.
Almost as excited as you would be to find it in the real situation. Game is doing something right.
11:12 the top bar that shrinks isn’t a cooldown, it’s a timer for how long that status update stays on screen. You can spam E to wash quickly

You can't close the (cloth) curtains, but every window (except windoed doors) has blinders (aim at the top of the window frame).
