I can confirm that a one-down atm is worth $390k with the increased loot value pickup skills.
The thing he was saying about the gun not having a stock is true. In the United States you can't legally own a rifle with a certain length short barrel(certain permits excluded). The way around this is to have one made without a stock, that way it's technically a pistol, and not a rifle. The CZ Scorpion is a good example of this.
I've been trying to stealth this solo, day 2 is viscious.
It's actually impossible to do it all the way through. Once the helicopter is called, the alarm *will* trigger. There's one major safespot on the map to hide in, but I'm not sure if its patched out.
That much I've known, it's just getting the chance to light the flare that is the challenge.
crossfiretarget They way I completed it on DW before 1D was released, I stealthed up until the lab door, the door was spotted, and then I just opened it to the public once I knew I grabbed the right engine. Surprisingly enough, the rest of the crew actually cared about my survival and I only went down once.
I wish I could play day 2 in One Down difficulty. The loud part is just impossible in solo.
I tried to solo stealth this on one down. day 1 was quite ez, same as day 2... but it just has to go loud.
had the right engine but got downed by dozer right next to the esc zone. .__.

I wish they had a separate heist for day 1 cuz it's be so easy to stealth and just saw open the arms it'd be probably the most exploited map in the game
in the old days, we bugged the ai to deliver engines for us, because they'd pick up the package and run off the map THROUGH the heli while we held off from the house, and the heli would scoop up the package for us. it was so stupid. You know, since it goes loud anyways

Day 2 really is based all on luck. The guards sound the alarm when they see the lab door open. You just got to hope they do not look at it before you get out the house with the engine. Same goes for them spotting the PC hacking, but you can still salvage that in most scenarios. The stealth itself is really easy, just got to get lucky :P
Under 16" barrel it has to be a pistol which means no stock, don't know what else you need in the people's republic of california though

If you remove the stock from a SBR'd CZ 805B, and put a "arm brace" on it is considered a pistol. However, starting January 1st, all weapons with detachable magazines are being banned :/
Also, the main reason guns are going up in price is because all the gun shops are marketing up the guns because of panic buying because of the aforementioned ban.

I tried doimg this alone, and i had just started and i was loud and i got all the way to the fusion engines and only sent one off and i had no idea if it was right because i got killed

my griends and i did this mission but didnt knoe how to find the correct engine so the whole time on loud be kept sending more and more engines, and it was the last one. it took 1 hr 12 min. ugh then right after that we found out that there was a mission to do it as the last engine on purpse... on a higher difficulty.
All I know is that my Draco AK Pistol was only $700 and it's a full AK47 just with a 6" barrel

I don't get day 2, up to Deathwish it clearly shows how many are connected, but on One Down all of the engines seems to have the same amount of connection on top of the gas tank, am i doing something wrong?

Not every 1D heist has to go big or go home you know. If it's more practical to stealth a heist then stealth it. If you look at the cams, this was recorded around the time of the update. Before the head shot multiplier and before any "Meta" was even made. I'm sure Gen had his set build for it then, but still. Some people have the mindset of "Well. I want to complete this heist. So the easier the better. Better stealth/go for the minimum."
