Too many sponsorships now. Hard to tell if it’s actually good financial advice or just salesmanship

I try to keep sponsored content on my channel to less than 25% of my video library, and even still, it's only a portion of the videos that are sponsored, not the whole thing. I appreciate the feedback, but rest assured that I always try to be as genuine as possible with sponsorships that I truly believe are beneficial to the audience. Thanks for watching and supporting my work!

For strictly travel rewards, would you recommend amex cobalt, scotiabank gold amex, or scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite?

I personally use the TD First Class VISA Infinite the welcome bonus is great, 4% back in points, annual $100 travel credit, bunch of travel insurance perks and an option to choose any airline through Expedia for TD platform unlike the Aeroplan one which limits to Aeroplan partners. Plus, 3% on groceries and restaurants and extra stars at Starbucks. This is an all-rounder card. btw all flights and hotels are booked in CAD. To save fx fees to spend outside, just use the Wise card

Either the scotiabank passport, the amex cobalt, or the amex platinum if you can afford it.

The issue with most of these cards, they have annual income requirements

Cobalt for non Loblaws or Costco groceries, dining out. Pc financial for Loblaws and shoppers and Scotia bank for fx transactions and dining where Amex not accepted

For Costco you can just buy Mastercard pre paid cards at a grocery store such as Safeway and that will give you 5 points on every dollar spent towards the pre paid cards which you can then use at Costco

why everything from Canada smells so scammy

To suggest someone should get a credit card in order to pay rent just to get some points is a total joke. That is a disaster waiting to happen to someone’s financial future.

how so - get points by paying something you would be paying regardless...

      You are right, for sure.
I guess when I wrote that comment I was making an assumption that most people can’t always pay off their balances. To get points for the sake of points while pilling on more debt at high rates isn’t a good idea.
That being said, I also use a credit card for all my purchases to collect cash back.
      CIBC Costco card.
I appreciate you questioning my comment
