Benn had the top-of-the-top title that’s why. The WBO belt wasn’t even really recognised and taken seriously in England and America. It was okly just around thsh time, the belt was starting to be taken seriously. The WBC belt Benn had. In the heavyweight division for example, that’s the belt Mike Tyson, Ali, Lennox Lewis etc had. If Benn had been a bit more controlled in this fight and hadn't hit Eubank with low blows 2 or 3 times, he'd have won - not by much as it was very close, but, those low blows cost him the bout. Eubank looked a light heavy/cruiserweight in there; Benn a middle/super middleweight. Enjoyable and entertaining - now for Part 2.
