Thanks, I’ve heard awesome things about this lens. Currently using the Samyang 14mm 2.8 with a speed booster for skating and it’s great but want to go wider! I’m primarily shooting pics but want to do more video. Question regarding shooting video. What FPS do you shoot at? The one thing that I can’t seem to find any mirrorlesses or even video cams that are able to match the slo mo that a stock iPhone does. Do you know of any cameras that are capable of 240FPS? I know it drops resolution for the mode but it’s great for short segments and I’d love a camera that has the ability.
How would a fast and good quality vintage prime lens perform when adapted to one of the new Canons? It's very easy to find (and inexpensive) a good used prime lens F1.4 for eg, a Super Takumar. No AF and IS, but with focus peaking, can help out the focusing.
I already struggle composing on ultra wide angles, probly not gonna touch a fisheye yet. Though there's a Meike 6-11mm that tickles my fancy every now and then.
Hey From Melbourne. Definitely getting a fisheye for my m50ii after watching this. Something different, looks interesting and fun! What lens would you recommend for concerts ie stage, lights ,dancing, or even getting some surreal shots of the interior of old pubs, jazz clubs? Have you worked with adobe after effects? wanting to learn color grading/Luts, working with light leaks and flares? could be a fun creative angle to add a bit extra dimension and curiosity to photos. and paired with fisheye could be really interesting! Life is too short to always play it safe, explore 😉💃
The Rokinon 12mm f2 would be good for those interiors too. Great for low light and light, super wide, and low distortion, and for tighter shots, the Viltrox 23mm.
Hey @MARK, I just received this lens but I can't shoot! I disabled every auto fucus thing I could but it still doesn't shoot! I have the canon m50, what do I need to do/change? Thanks!
I have 7artisans 7.5mm fisheye, perfect for skateboarding video (low angle) and other sports when you can close to object
Awsome.

what about crop 4k video by m50 mark ii with this lens ?
such a cute diagonal fish eye lens , love it !
For a cheap lens, it actually looks great on the camera. Something small but very important to me!
Cool video and really nice photos!!! I will consider this lens, thanks!!
Thanks for watching!

They won't resolve the high megapixel count, but they are affordable and can look great.
Absolutely love these manual 7.5mm lenses!!
Can you show me the settings you use for night timelapse? Also, I'm having an issue where the recording doesn't start when I have the lens attached.
Mark- What about the Meike 6.5 F2.0? I thought you did a video on this one too. Which is better for the new user?
I love that one, it’s a circular fisheye, so they are different. Mostly personal preference really.
the m50 has a built in fisheye affect option for any lens your using
What setting is that under ?
@@nowxon967 same question ?
It doesn’t work that well tho

I can totally relate!
Hi mark. Sorry Just a random question. Does your m50 makes a mild motor like sound when you turn it on and off? Im just wondering. Thank you.
Yes, just for a spit second.

Fabulous review thanks ☺️
Thank you so much!
Does the M50 correct automatically the perspective?? Or has to be done in post-pro?
Post!
Does it need an adapter?

In the menu system, release shutter without lens, or sometime like that. If you google it, you should find instructions.
@@markwiemels legend thanks!
I don’t know much about fisheye lenses but does this lenses show the black circle around the image?
No, that is a circular fish eye, that shows the circle.
Did you need an adapter to get the lens on your m50 mii?
No
wonder how well the lens would look on a Nikon body with an adapter
Can't be adapted, but might come in Nikon Z mount.
Hey Mark still waiting on the RP M6 shootout : ) : ) : )
soupah doupah 👏👏👏
Do I need an adapter for the Fisheye when fixing on the M50? Thx4shating your experience.
No, it’s ef-m mount, just make sure it says eos-m or ef-m mount on the Amazon purchase page.
I know that giant clock in Melbourne 😮
I admittedly use my 10-18 with a speed booster at times
That would be cool.
Fun to use in the forest to take pictures of the redwoods
That would be cool.
❤
IMO, EF-M Lenses are on the endangered species list
Probably true.
